A wonderful nursery. Our son attended for about two and a half years, from about nine months old to just over three years old. The staff were all fantastic and instantly put us and our son at ease. He was always so excited to go to nursery and clearly had a brilliant time going there. The whole atmosphere
felt calm and in control, and all the children always seemed to be having lots of fun. Plus there's a big, safe garden to play in that was always a hit. They'd also often have trips out to the park, the police station or fire station, or to the care home, all of which our son loved. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.

I would highly recommend ABC Nursery to anyone who was looking for a good nursery for their child. My son has attended since he was 1 (is now 4 1/2) and he has always required additional support and care needs. The level of care they have given him has been paramount in his overall development. The
staff that work in the nursery are all so lovely and enthusiastic, but the thing that earns my trust is that you can tell that every single one of them truly enjoys their jobs and want the best for the kids in their care. My only wish is that they would have their own school, as I will be reluctant to have him move on to P1 at the local public school. I, at least know, he was given the best start possible by attending Argyle Bridge.

My daughter loves it here she didn't get on well at a previous nursery so moved her to Argyle Bridge Children's Nursery. I was worried she wouldn't settle here either but she has settled amazingly and actually looks forward to going to nursery now.

My daughter loves her nursery. The numbers are small which made for a very smooth introduction from home life to nursery life. All staff are caring and attentive and the individual needs of the children are met.

A fantastic nursery that has set both my boys up for school fantastically. A real mix of class and outdoor play with trips to local attractions. As an example of going the extra mile, each spring they incubate eggs from the farm and raise the chicks in class.

A really wonderful environment for children

of all ages.

The nursery is a great environment for my son he started when he was 11 months and the staff helped him to settle in really well! He has been able to build great relationships with staff and the other children in the nursery.
He is provided with great learning opportunities throughout the day and enjoys
being able to access the outdoor area throughout the day.
He always enjoys nursery snack and lunch often trying new things! The staff take on board what we have been doing at the weekend and always bring something relevant to what he has done into the room. I appreciate that they take such a vested interest in what he does from week to week and celebrate his achievements!
We get a great overview of his day by being able to access his online learning journal and there are lots of opportunities for us as parents to be involved with the nursery such as reviewing the lunch menu, the changing of the room names and through the parent's committee open forums where all parents are welcome!

This is an excellent family-run nursery. We have a long history with the nursery with one/both of our sons having been to Argyle Bridge Children's Nursery since 2011 and the standard of care has been fantastic. Our oldest son was diagnosed with a serious medical condition and we feared we might have
to leave the nursery but they were wonderful and worked exceptionally hard to meet his needs.
Our youngest son is in the preschool room at the minute and is thriving. I am amazed every week at what he can do.
The staff have been there for years and I cannot praise them enough, this is the best nursery by far in the area.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.111) out of 10 for Argyle Bridge Children's Nursery - Bridge Street is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Argyle Bridge Children's Nursery - Bridge Street is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.111 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Argyle Bridge Children's Nursery - Bridge Street is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 number of registered child places is 9. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 9 = 0.111
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
