Delighted to have been awarded NMT Nursery Group Award 2018.

Dunblane Nature Kindergarten is situated in the beautiful town of Dunblane, with its calm and peaceful community. There are easy links to the motorway network, excellent parking for safe and easy drop off and collection and they are just a short walk to the local train station. The nursery is very much a part of the local community making links with Dunblane, Newton and St. Mary Primary Schools, Dunblane High and Queen Victoria High and providing both nursery and out of school care services.

Dunblane Nature Kindergarten is based across two buildings, a large two storey sandstone villa and a new build single storey property each with direct access to the outdoor play areas. Each building is divided into specially designed play rooms, beautifully furnished and equipped with a plentiful range of quality resources. They have three secure individual fun gardens for each stage of a child’s development to improve the educational experience they provide, giving the opportunity to explore and investigate a wide range of materials and enjoy physical play in a safe and fun environment.

The two buildings are surrounded by a highly engaging and challenging garden area. The garden design was created through consultation with children, parents and staff to encompass a community project and a sense of place for all to enjoy. When parents come to visit, they will find a haven for children to have fun whilst learning. The under footing will compromise of a mixture of turf, wood chip and stone, the various materials chosen to promote the development of child core stability, which in turn develops the balance from within the inner ear. These materials were also chosen for children to work with as a loose part, enhancing the children’s learning experiences as they pick and choose what materials to work with.

All of my children have gone to DNK, my daughter is now at school, my middle child is in the bumblebee room and my youngest is in the rainbow room. I can't recommend DNK enough, from the care and attention given to each child to all of the fun, educational outdoor activities they do on a daily basis.
All of my children have thrived. Leah, in the rainbow room has been the perfect key worker for our little boy, he absolutely adores her and she has brought out the best in him, she's so attentive to his personality and just gets him. Linzi, in the bumblebee room was our daughter's key worker and is the same for our middle child. He absolutely adores her and feels very safe in her care. She's always thinking of new ways to challenge him academically and spends so much time with him. I can't thank DNK enough as without them our children wouldn't be the confident, caring little people they are today, thank you

my son attends DNK once a week and has loved his time there, the girls are great and are so nurturing and attentive to my child's individual needs! The girls in the sunbeams especially! He always comes home happy when he attends the nursery and always looks forward to going in.

Our son has been attending DNK about 9months now, starting just before their 1st bday. Right from the start the Sunbeam room staff were brilliant at making our child feel welcomed, safe and were so good at helping us all adapt to the initially hard step of sending your baby off to nursery and the separation
anxiety both children and parents feel! The mix of activities including plenty of outdoor play has really suited our child.
When he was ready for the step up to the next age group room, the nursery staff talked to us and made us feel nothing was being rushed and it was a natural transition.
He is out playing everyday, nature walks, great range of seasonal themed crafts indoors, story times and everything you could hope for as a parent.
The staff are very professional and switched on with allergies/possible allergies and are quick to act of there is any concern.
We are so glad we chose DNK for our boy, the staff all seem so lovely and allow children to thrive!

Dunblane.Nature Kindergarten is fantastic! Our daughter has been attending for about a year and absolutely loves her nursery days. From a new start in the Sunbeams to now being a Sunflower, she has been fully supported by the staff has bonded so well with them, and has made so many friends.
We really
appreciate how the nursery have supported our daughter and the whole family following the recent arrival of a new sibling. Their flexibility and support has been invaluable, particularly with our daughter transitioning to being a big sister. The thoughtful end educational activities that the children do are also brilliant.

DNK have been wonderful in welcoming our family to the area, making a huge, stressful transition from England to Dunblane a lot easier. Management have been so flexible and understanding of our situation which has been so helpful. The staff are caring, knowledgeable, and brilliant with the children,
and really lovely to interact with, thoughtfully updating us on how our son is doing (particularly after difficult drop offs!). He's beginning to settle well, helped enormously by the stimulating environment and the amazing opportunities for outdoor play. I'd really recommend this nursery to anyone in the area.

Lyla moved to DNK in August last year so we could be closer to home. When we first moved I was worried she wouldn't settle or find the change too challenging due to being happy in her previous nursery. From the moment I reached out to the nursery for more information, I've had nothing but reassurance
and filled with confidence that I was making the right decision. Within the first week of doing settle sessions, I knew this was the best place for both Lyla and myself. She settled in amazingly as if she had been there from day dot and built such strong relationships with Mia and the other staff in the baby room. Lyla is now in the Sunflower room and I couldn't be happier or prouder of how much she has come on in every aspect of her development thanks to the incredible care and support from Leah and all the team. She waves bye bye every morning without a second of hesitation, it's like a home from home for her. I can't thank DNK & all the staff enough for everything they do for my family!

We've had such a positive experience over the past two years. The staff are really great - really caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the children. Our son, now in bumblebees, loves nursery!
There is always such a nice mix of activities, and really like the creativity of
the staff on how it's tied into the seasons. Also love the fact that they spend quite a lot of time outdoors.
We're really happy with the care they provide and would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son has been at this nursery for 18 months and started in the baby room and is now in the 2-3 year old room. I can't recommend this nursery more. My son has thrived here and made some lovely bonds with the staff and his peers. I feel safe knowing he's well looked after while my husband and I are
at work.
I phone to check on my wee one and the staff don't make me feel as if I'm bothering them and that is appreciated as I know how busy they can be.
They do so many lovely activities with them and they get outdoors as much as possible which is great. Any issues or fears I have are listened to and addressed promptly and with compassion. Please keep doing what your doing - your amazing and should be told that more often.

My daughter has been attending DNK since October 2025. We had a big move from Cornwall up to Scotland and the team were brilliant in helping her settle in at what must have been a big transition for her. She had trouble moving rooms in her previous nursery but here she seemed to settle very quickly
and I think thats down to how great the staff are. They've been great at taking her lead on developmental areas she's going through and she's made really strong bonds with all the staff and many of the children in the pre-school room. We really rate the space and outdoor learning whether at nursery or the walks and forest school she goes to. I would recommend the setting to anyone :-)

My son has been in the Sunbeam room since October 24. Initially I was very nervous about leaving him at nursery 4 days a week to return to work. All the staff made the transition much easier, through brilliant communication and showing such care and understanding to both me and my son especially in
the first few weeks when drop offs were a bit difficult for us both.
He now absolutely loves going to nursery trotting in on his own with a big smile and waving bye bye. I have noticed his development come on leaps and bounds with eating independently, speech, walking etc. The staff are great at keeping me informed as to what they've been up to, eaten, slept everyday. I am so happy I chose this nursery as it has made going back to work much easier knowing my child is having a nice time and is in an environment that he is thriving in.

We were new to Dunblane Nature Kindergarten as of 2025. The three Nursery Practitioners have been fantastic in helping my little boy and I with settling in. He has only been on full days for 3 weeks but I am already seeing his confidence grow. Excellent staff, healthy food and lots of play and learning
both in and outdoors.

I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful care and attention my child receives at Dunblane Nature Kindergarten. Child has been going to Dunblane Nature Nursery for nearly a year and has had a great time during their time with them. Staff are always receptive and helped resolve an issue where my child was missing their friends as they aged out of the younger groups, so let him head up earlier, which has been great
for his development. Play environments are also full of fun and they have a great exposure to play and activities outside the room which is fun to see. The amount of information we get from them is also useful, and help with dietary problems has helped. Did have some issues with communication earlier on and access to systems, but all gets resolved in good time.

Our son joined the nursery aged 1 in August 2024. He struggled with separation anxiety but the staff made loads of extra effort to help him settle. Now he absolutely loves nursery and toddles in barely noticing we're leaving. The leaders in the sunbeam room are always doing extra activities and changing

Our little boy attends Dunblane Nature Kindergarten (rainbows) twice a week and absolutely loves it.


He has come on leaps and bounds socially, emotionally and just as a wee character since starting here nearly 2 years ago.


The biggest selling point for me is the outdoor focused play and learning.

Our little boy absolutely thrives in this environment and it's a pleasure and joy to watch through Instagram updates.


The girls are so attentive and kind with all of the little ones and they always make time for a chat with the parents at drop off/pick ups.


Lovely bunch of staff and a fabulous nursery that we can't wait to introduce to our newest addition to the family!
