Si-Lwli Nursery (Whitchurch)

My husband and I recently made the decision to move our child from their old nursery to this nursery, and I am so glad I did. The provision of the Welsh language is fantastic, and my child's confidence in Welsh has come on leaps and bounds. She has very quickly settled into the nursery and this is all thanks to the care and support from the excellent staff. She has become more confident with food and her imaginary play has flourished. Really lovely, family-orientated environment with good communication and updates.

Our little boy has been attending Si-Lwli since he was 9 months and he loves it! We couldn't be happier with the care he receives and the staff go above and beyond for all of us. The facilities are brilliant and the children are given a wide range of opportunities during their nursery day - from baking, painting and trips out to the park to name but a few. We are also given regular updates and pictures throughout the day. All the staff are wonderful - so caring and attentive to all our child's needs and have been such a huge support for us over the past year. We could not recommend Si-Lwli enough!

We have had a marvellous experience with Si-Lwli. Our child loves going there and has done from day 1. They have been extremely helpful during the potty training process and communication with the nursery is always very good. They often put on activities for occasions such as Halloween and Christmas which is lovely. Si-Lwli has certainly helped with the development of our little girl. We would strongly recommend the nursery.

We absolutely love Si-Lwli. It's a loving, caring environment, and I am really happy to drop my son at the door there every day. The staff are simply fantastic - you can just tell how much they care for the children there and the great relationships they build with the kids. I really love that they try to take the kids outside whatever the weather and help build their character and confidence by trusting them with activities like using tools and sitting around a fire. To me they feel like part of a family helping to raise our son.

Our son has settled in so well at Si-Lwli and it is a true credit to the amazing staff. We look forward to checking the app at the end of the day to see what delicious food he has eaten and to see the gorgeous photos from the day. He is always smiling in the photos which is a pleasure to see. We feel like we can fully relax when leaving our little one at Si-Lwli as they are so professional, yet so loving. They promote their development in such a fun yet informative way. The fact that it is a Welsh speaking environment really is the cherry on top for us as parents. We wholeheartedly cannot recommend Si-Lwli enough.

Our daughter has been attending Si-Lwli since she was 9 months old and absolutely loves it there. She adores the staff and has a wonderful relationship with them. She has come on leaps and bounds in the 14 months since she started and has learnt so much from the staff in that time. The facilities are great, and the staff often organise excursions for the children, which is a bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend Si-Lwli.

I can't recommend Si-Lwli enough! The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, they feel like extended family. The facilities are clean and safe and constantly renewed. There's a huge variety of activities offered, from arts and crafts to outdoor play and forest school. Our children have come on leaps and bounds, socially and emotionally during their time here. Communication with parents is excellent, with regular updates and opportunities for involvement. We're so grateful for the positive impact they've had on our children.

Both of my children have attended Si Lwli - my eldest has just started school and my youngest has just started. Both children adore the people there; the relationships are authentic and the children are treated with such kindness and respect. The provision is outstanding and the staff are knowledgeable and professional. Staff understand child development, and statutory requirements, and are very forward-thinking and research-oriented. They have a Froebelian approach with free flow, loads of time outdoors, and unstructured play led by the children's interests and supported by skilled, caring adults. Their use of the 3 enablers makes them stand out because they understand them fully, working tirelessly to sustain the highest standards and improve on their practice. They work closely with families to understand each child and are always empathetic, nurturing and curious. They are expensive because they continually invest in their people, and boy they are worth it.

My child attends Si-Lwli currently and my other child attended 4 years ago. The staff are amazing the quality of care my children receive is outstanding. My child is allowed to have fun and explore so much here in the medium of Welsh. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

The setting, menu choices and overall experience are excellent, I would recommend the nursery to anyone and have done many times in the last year.

Si Lwli has provided excellent care to both my children. They have been incredibly supportive and accommodating to my youngest who has additional learning needs and have gone above and beyond to provide him with the care and resources that he needs to thrive. We feel extremely happy and confident leaving him in their care and feel that they genuinely want the best for him. The wonderful staff are a credit to the nursery.

Absolutely fantastic nursery and staff, both my girls have been very happy here. My eldest is in school now but my three-year-old is still there enjoying the wonderful, child-led environment which is fun and stimulating. A delicious menu, she eats more at Si-Lwli than at home and the care is second to none. Couldn't recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a nursery, especially a Welsh-speaking setting.
