Yellow Wellies Day Nursery

It is impressive how well they know every child's character and support them to develop.

With my son he likes to build things, they used this as a way to build on teamwork, numbers, colours, balancing, types of buildings which became more technical as he grew and gained confidence.

My child started with Yellow Wellies here when he was 1 year and 5 months so he was in the baby room and just left pre-school before he started reception. All the staff from the baby room to preschool are very supportive and my child enjoyed his time here.

I wholeheartedly recommend Yellow Wellies to any parent seeking a warm, developmental, and child-centered nursery.

My child has come on leaps and bounds from this nursery. The care and support provided for the children is exceptional! The use of the app so I know what my child's been doing is fantastic and I'm always updated with what she's up to.

I know other friends have had experiences where the child hasn't been supported so well so we're really grateful and she's starting to enjoy it now.

A kind and caring nursery with staff who are really engaged with the children. My daughter has loved her time at Yellow Wellies and I feel that the staff who have looked after her really know her and have helped support her growth and development through pre-school. I like the fact the children are allowed to try things out and make a mess, the atmosphere always feels relaxed and welcoming. We will be sad to say goodbye this summer.

Beautiful caring nursery that has added enormously to the growth of our child. The staff are fantastic, always thinking of fun learning activities to help the children develop, enjoy themselves and just be kids! We love the smaller nursery setting where all of the team knows our child and in turn, they feel relaxed with all of them. The management team are incredibly helpful and supportive. The home-cooked delicious food is also a huge hit with our child (and therefore us as parents). Thank you.

Yellow Wellies is a fantastic nursery, which provides excellent care and education for the children who attend. My daughter has been attending for one year, and all the nursery staff we have dealt with in that time have been outstanding. My daughter settled in quickly and now loves going to the nursery. We can see how attending has helped her develop her language skills and her confidence in interacting with the other children and staff.

The staff in pre-school are amazing, and I couldn't thank them enough for all the hard work they put in day after day!

My child loves their time at nursery with the attentive staff and messy play, encouraging learning, motor skills and self-expression. I'm almost 100% my child has additional needs, and this is being closely monitored and spoken about with myself, other parents and all staff giving me a lot of peace of mind during nursery hours. This nursery works for us so much so, that my younger child will also be starting when they hit two.

My child's been to Yellow Wellies in Durham for a year. He's been having so much fun and have learned a lot from nursery. He barely talked in English at first but now he can have long conversation in English. All the teachers are lovely and caring for their pupils. I am very happy that I made the right decisions.

This is a brilliant nursery. The staff are very caring (my boys are very fond of their keyworkers and are always happy to see them) and attentive. The outside space is a wonderful addition - especially for a city centre nursery and communication is really outstanding.

This is a wonderful nursery. Our children are outdoors pretty much every day, in all weather, and come home covered in mud, sand, paint etc., and full of excitement about what they've done that day. The staff are amazing - we've watched our children grow in confidence so much, thanks to the supportive, kind, warm environment and the attention and care of their key person. We'll be sending our third child to Yellow Wellies in a few months and know that she'll be happy and well-cared for there. The culture at the nursery is also very friendly, so we've made some lovely friends with other Yellow Wellies parents. The building is undergoing some renovations, which are needed (some rooms etc. were looking a bit tired), and there isn't a huge amount of space for the babies, but this is more than compensated for by the outstanding staff and the warm, friendly, professional culture.

I am very satisfied with the school my son attends. The teachers are friendly, the facilities, and the students study very well. The dishes are changed accordingly. There are many very useful outdoor picnics. Play area with many experiences for children.

We're very happy with Yellow Wellies, and both our children (1, 4) settled in very quickly, their key persons took the time to get to know them and helped them a lot with settling. The staff are friendly and seem a close-knit team, and the children all seem happy and engaged. They have a great curriculum for the pre-schoolers. We would strongly recommend it to others.

Our 3-year-old daughter goes to Yellow Wellies full time and she loves it. She started in the baby room and moved up to the preschool room afterwards. She loves all the activity and during the day we get updates, which I enjoy and what helps a lot with feeling happy about leaving her every day, it also gives me something to talk about when she gets home. The staff are an absolute pleasure. We have only moved to the area in May of last year and they have just been so welcoming. I hope this tells you how lucky we are to have found Yellow Wellies .. we both work full time and they create a home away from home for our little girl.
