Kids Planet Monkseaton

My twins have been with Kids Planet for a year now and the nursery have been nothing but amazing. They have been wonderful supporting their development together and as individuals and have come on so much.

I always feel included in their day through the app and updates from their key workers and all communication has been excellent.

They are very good with updating us constantly about her progress. She knows all the staff now and they know her. It feels like family. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone in the area.

My daughter loves it and son is due to start there shortly. She enjoys it and always seems to be busy with fun activities e.g crafts/painting. Plenty of outdoor time in their lovely garden and enjoys the food, sometimes even asking for extra! She's made great friends with the other children and seems to have a good relationship with staff. Thank you for all that you do !

Our child gets so much out of the nursery and loves going in, loves the staff and attending gives them so much variety in their week.

My little boy started here around 11 months old and left in August 2025 aged 4 to start reception. He loved his time at kids planet and was sad to leave. We are pleased that we chose this nursery and found that the staff were really nurturing and supportive as well as having good facilities to encourage development and play. Particular mention to Georgia and Matt who were great with my little boy when he was in pre-school for his last year. Would definitely recommend kids planet.

My daughter started attending kids planet when she was 9 months old, I put her there as it was highly recommended by one of my friends.

Within a month of her attending she would be so excited to go in and play even crying to go in when we walked past on weekends.

They even helped us getting her away from dummys too.

We were sad to see her leave nursery to move to school but I cannot thank the staff enough for what they have done.

My child has attended Kids Planet nursery since she was 10 months old - and she is now in pre-school. The nursery has a good balance of outdoor play space, and a safe stimulating indoor space as well. The team take them on visits - such as the Hancock museum - which she loves! The meals are varied - and we have always been updated at how she has done with her food. She has been supported throughout toilet training - and she seemed to managed to crack it very quickly with the teams help! Overall, she has had a wonderful journey throughout her time at nursery - as all the staff have been warm, caring and nuturing. They have encouraged her all the way and have given her engaging activities to help her become the confident, clever, curious little girl that she is today. She is excited for 'big school' (which is in part from all the work the team have done in preparing her for it) - but I know she will be sad to leave her nursery family behind.

So pleased with the caring and nurturing environment for our 1 and 3 year olds. The older one loves it and the little one has had lots of help to settle in and she is now really enjoying her days there too. Staff are really caring and focus on the kids.

My child has attended Monkseaton Kids Planet since he was 11 months old, and the care he has received has been exemplary in each room he has been through. The indoor play facilities and activities the children do are varied, and they have access to a great outdoor space. Staff are caring and supportive to both children and parents, and my little one is very happy in the setting. All staff, including the management team, are friendly and approachable. I would recommend Kids Planet to anyone looking for a nursery in the local area!

Both my children have attended Kids Planet and we couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery. Our youngest is currently attending and we know through all the photos and updates on the app (and at pick up) how much fun he has. The staff are superb - they truly build strong bonds with the children, making sure they feel safe and supported. The facilities are also fantastic, offering everything from sensory rooms to spacious indoor areas, an outside den and a great playground. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My child started at Kids Planet Monkseaton in September 2021; it was Children's Choice then. He's thrived in this environment, where we have seen positive changes in his confidence, sociability and development on a physical, verbal and academic level. The staff are very caring, supportive and knowledgeable, which is reassuring for a new mother. The meals are varied and healthy, and they encourage a lot of outdoor play and learning which is an asset. I would definitely recommend sending your child to this nursery.

My daughter went to Kids Planet (previously Children's Choice) from being just over one year old until she left for school. We couldn't fault the nursery at all and all the staff who work there are exceptional and so caring towards the children. My daughter absolutely thrived in their care and I would highly recommend it.

My daughter has attended Kids Planet Monkseaton since she was two and she is nearly four now. Since she has been there she has flourished in confidence; it's incredible to see how far she has come and what a difference the staff and environment has made. The staff there are kind, caring, engaging, and all seem to genuinely love being with all of the children; teaching them and fostering their relationships with other children. My daughter would regularly come home talking excitedly about what she had learned that day and what engaging games they had played. Bar the inevitable tears on her first day when she was fearful of the unknown, since then she has always been so excited to attend and full of smiles when we have picked her up, which is all you can ask for as a parent. I'm very grateful for the time my daughter spent at Kids Planet and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

I'm so pleased with this nursery, the environment, staff and facilities mean I can feel happy leaving my child there.

Really recommend Kids Planet Monkseaton. My daughter started at age 3 until she went to school and she was really happy and well supported. She developed loads during this time and was given lots of support with reading and writing so she's started school really well prepared. She also loved the staff, made loads of friends and really enjoyed her days.

Couldn't be happier with my son attending Monkseaton Kids Planet. He first attended aged 9 months. The staff are amazing not only for him but for us, making us feel at ease from day 1. His speech is amazing for his age, his social skills are fantastic. Often he just wants to stay and play at pick-up. Getting to know the staff not only as those who look after the children, but as the lovely people they are has made them become members of our family as well. Food is great, he will often eat all his food plus more.

His speech, imaginative play, manners and potty training came along so well after Children's Choice Nursery. He made some friends and his eating improved. I regret only one thing - that I didn't choose this nursery straight away.
