Emmy Jayne's Nursery School in Northallerton is registered for 72 children and their ethos is to provide 'quality and inspirational learning for children'.

The nursery follows the Curiosity Approach, which combines the philosophy of Montessori and Te Whariki.

The Curiosity approach puts the individuality of children at the core of its early years methods and uses the child's curiosity and desire to learn to expand their horizons and foster confidence and resilience.

This nursery is a fab nursery, very welcoming, always takes good care of my child, have made my child feel very settled. I'm very happy with this nursery and would definitely recommend to family and friends. My child has learnt so much since starting here.

Emmy Jayne's nursery has competent, friendly and caring staff that have looked after our son wonderfully since he started in July this year. It is a great nursery for playing and learning and they monitor the children's development carefully and keep the parents well informed about how their child is
doing. They have great facilities for the children, both indoors and outdoors and our son enjoys every minute of playing and learning at Emmy Jayne's.

Since my daughter has been at Emmy Jayne's (started there at 10 months and is now coming up 3 yrs) she has been cared for and looked after to an extremely high standard. The care offered is tailored very much around each child; their personality, their learning style, the emotional support they need.
One of the main reasons for choosing this nursery for my daughter was the health and well-being aspects; the healthy food options, the outdoor play, brushing of teeth routines.

Since the first time I walked into this nursery I knew it was right for my son. The staff are incredibly caring and friendly, my son smiles all day and is busy having fun from the moment I drop him off. He eats near enough all the lovely food provided! I feel that both me and my son have a great relationship
with his nursery workers. I don't have a single negative thing to say!

Brilliant nursery they are amazing with my daughter and have really brought her out of her shell and given her confidence around other children. All her key workers have been fantastic. She looks forward to going every week.

Emmy Jayne's is a fantastic nursery that was recommended to us and I have happily recommend it to others. Both of our children have been and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff genuinely care and it appears more than just a job. Both children have different characters and needs and both have been
equally well looked after. The children love going and there cannot be a much better recommendation than that.

My child is extremely happy and confident at Emmy Jaynes Nursery. He is obviously treated well and given lots of opportunities to learn through play. However more importantly to me, he is obviously cared for by the staff and in particular his key worker. They know his small foibles and personality traits
and how to draw the best out of him.
I was recommended to look at Emmy Jaynes Nursery by other friends & I would recommend them to others without reservation (and have done).

I can't rate this nursery school enough. They are incredibly warm and inviting, all staff members are friendly and professional. They go above and beyond at making you and your child feel well cared for. 10/10. I would never use another nursery school.

This is a fantastic nursery, all the staff are amazing with the children and parents. My daughter has been here for 2 years and the transformation in her confidence has been astounding, this can be wholly attributed to the hard work and care of all the practitioners that have looked after her. Couldn't

My daughter started this nursery in September and she loves it, she can be unsettled when dropped off but the staff are brilliant with her. She comes home with stories of her day, new songs and such. There is so much to keep the children entertained. We are always very well informed of her day, meals,
nappies changed etc. We feel very much at ease with the nursery. There isn't a way in which we can fault it.

Lovely nursery. Our son goes twice a week and thoroughly enjoys himself. The nursery is an extremely safe environment with the staff showing genuine kindness and affection to the children they are caring for. There is a commitment to the children's development and an appreciation from the staff that
all the children are individual and develop at different stages. The management team are professional yet approachable.

The standard of care and learning my child receives is first rate and I'm genuinely astounded by much my child has developed specifically under their care. The curriculum is rigorous and all achieved through play; which engages the children in a way we might not be able to at home and evidenced with
photographs so the parents can see - which is fantastic!


The nursery is always spotless despite the best efforts of the children doing messy play! We as parents are constantly engaged and receive full debriefs about the child every day which shows the level of attention given by both the direct carers and management. The food provided by Emmy Janes Nursery School is first rate and gives a variety and balance of nutrition whilst also providing energy for learning and play.


I cannot fault Emmy Jane's in any way and look forward to seeing our daughter's development grow over the next couple of years with them.

A fantastic nursery with amazing staff, structure, resources and communications. My children are very happy here, there's always so much to do/learn. My son has been coming to this nursery since he was 8 months old he is now 3. I cannot fault any element of this nursery. They have provided support to me when I have found the process of leaving my child at the nursery in the early years difficult, by keeping me up to date, letting me watch how quick
he calms down on the camera screen in the office.
They support the children very well in all stages of development having clear aims and keeping their staff trained appropriately if I have ever been unclear of the stages they have given practical examples of how I can help my son if I have needed it. Without enforcing their opinions on parenting styles!
There are also little extras they provide parents and children, like the learning library which children can borrow books/ educational games. They have potty training /educational resources for parents,


There's a real community spirit in the nursery and know that my son's social and emotional development has been encouraged well due to this.
