My son has attended Jellytots since he was 9 months old. Initially, the nursery was warm and family-oriented with consistent, caring staff. Since a new manager joined over a year ago, communication has declined, staff turnover has been high, and new staff often came and went so quickly it was hard to
know who was who, leaving the environment unsettled. My son was moved into preschool without notice, and an injury in their care was not properly reported, requiring CCTV and investigation to clarify. Updates, photos, and observations are rarely shared. Children from the after-school club are sometimes placed in the preschool room, impacting behaviour, and staff ratios are sometimes counted by including a staff member who is only within hearing distance, which I do not feel is acceptable or reassuring.

We have always used JellyTots for both of our children one is 5 and the other is 1 and they both absolutely love it!!
The staff are friendly and it's under new and very much improved management!
They're refurbishing everything and make sure the kids are well looked after. Would 100% recommend!!!

All the staff at Jellytots are all warm and welcoming my little boy doesn't like a lot of people but he loves the staff here they settle him quickly he seems to have some sort of separation anxiety when leaving me and they do amazing settling him quickly they also have had time for me as a mother to
go in and have a chat when I've had a hard time with my little boy but honestly I couldn't ask for a better setting for my little boy all food cooked from fresh and my son seems to eat a lot more things

My daughter absolutely loves her preschool. It wasn't an easy year for her due to our move, and she initially struggled with speaking English when she first started. However, the staff were amazing and helped her feel welcome, allowing her to settle in quickly and improve her language skills. She now
has little friends and adores all the staff. She gets really excited to go each morning. They are also doing their best to improve the facilities and ensure the children have a variety of activities.

Our son loves his time at Jellytots Nursery! The staff are all lovely and so friendly and he is very settled there with lots of little friends. He struggled to settle due to an unsettling year of house moves but the staff went above and beyond to make him feel welcome and happy and support his transition
successfully and now he happily wanders in without a backwards glance! The nursery provides a lovely homely environment in a small setting and the varied menu is great with lots of activities to keep the children busy inside and outside. The staff at Jellytots are wonderful and they have been flexible at adding occasional extra sessions too, we couldn't ask for more!

We choose Jellytots after visiting a few nurseries in the local area and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Our daughter has excelled so much in the time she has been there and is genuinely excited to go on a morning.
The smaller setting and down to earth staff were what attracted us to the nursery
and it's worked for us. I feel like I know all the staff and they all know my daughter well.
I am genuinely really happy with every element; the staff, the learning, the rooms, toys/equipment, the outdoors opportunities, the food and menus, the communication. I highly recommend Jellytots!

Having chosen Jellytots Nursery for its smaller size and more homely feel after using a larger nursery I could not be happier.
Both of my children love attending Jellytots, always happy at pickup time, my eldest eager to tell me all about his day. My youngest started at 9 months old and the staff are
so lovely, she settled in so quickly.
It is a very clean nursery and since starting a year ago, my children have only been off poorly twice, unlike being sent home every 2 weeks at the previous nursery. A testament to the cleanliness and smaller amount of children at Jellytots!
The meals are all lovingly home-cooked and such a good and healthy variety!
The range of activities and trips out keep the children very entertained and learning new skills at the same time.
I highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

My daughter has been attending Jellytots nursery for three years now, and she loves it. The staff are wonderful and friendly, the nursery is clean and has lots of stuff to do for the children.
They do regular activities every month to fit in with the season or theme of the month.
I couldn't ask
for a better nursery; I know me and my daughter will be very sad to leave when she goes to school next year.

My little boy has been coming here for two years now. The nursery has been brilliant for building his confidence. Everyone at the nursery was so welcoming when he started and helped him settle by sticking to his routine.
His key worker is absolutely fantastic with him. He gets to try so many different
activities, and she makes nursery such a fun experience. She is also very patient with him. He is very lucky to have such a brilliant key worker. However, all staff are great.
The manager is always very helpful and accommodating. She will help wherever she can.
There is always a lot of information on the app to show me what he has been doing. Communication from the nursery is great.
We cannot recommend Jellytots enough.

My little boy joined Jellytots just before his 1st birthday. After spending almost the first full year of his life in lockdown, I was apprehensive about him starting nursery. The staff have been amazing, and I can’t rate them enough. Communication is great, and I know my son is happy and well looked
after. The manager has also been great and flexible, allowing me to change my son’s days at nursery to fit new working patterns. I have recommended Jellytots to two of my friends whose children now attend.

After moving my daughter here after issues with a previous nursery, I have been unbelievable happy with the care she has been given. All the staff are lovely, warm and friendly. She absolutely loves going and has become a different child, more confident and talking much more. I just wish I had sent

My son is coming up to his 4th birthday and has been attending Jelly Tots since he was 10-months-old. I can't recommend this nursery enough. The staff are amazing and always keep me informed every step of the way. The activities are great; my son comes home singing a new song almost weekly. I will ask
him 'who has taught you that song', and he always names various members of staff. My son will be leaving nursery this year to start school in September; I know it is the next milestone, however, I know I will feel nervous as the time approaches. The level of care he has had at the nursery has been second to none. I feel at ease every day he is there, and I couldn't ask for any more than that.
Thank you to the manager and all the staff for always taking the best care of my son.

After viewing several nurseries for my 4-month-old to start I knew Jellytots Nursery was the right place from walking through the door. My daughter is almost 2 and I am very happy I chose Jellytots. The care my daughter is given is just as though it was from myself, which makes me feel completely at
ease. All the staff are lovely and the bond my daughter has with them makes me feel even more at ease, she loves to go to nursery. The care is always as you wish and the focus is on your child, the dedication from key workers is faultless. The food, toys and the activities the children get to do are always a wide range. I was recommended here by a friend and would recommend to anyone.

Our son has been at Jellytots Nursery for almost a year and has been since he was 10 months old. We can't recommend the nursery enough. All staff are friendly and caring towards the children. The home cooked food is always fresh and a wide variety. In the wobbles room, which is for babies there is plenty
of activities, toys and sensory items to keep them entertained and they encourage children to learn using their particular interests. A fantastic nursery all round.

Our 10-month-old daughter started in February. During this time we could not praise the staff more for helping her settle in, their communication and knowledge of our child. Her room is always well resourced, clean and she seems to access a wide range of activities across the week. She is given a wide
range of foods and is always encouraged to try new things. Most importantly she seems to be loving nursery and is always happy to be left which as working parents we couldn't ask for more.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.966)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.966) out of 10 for Jellytots Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.552 for Jellytots Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (75 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.552
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.414 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Jellytots Nursery is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 number of registered child places is 9.8. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.8 = 0.714
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
