Both my children have been extremely happy at this Nursery. The staff there are all absolutely wonderful and make so much effort with the children. I was so impressed with my eldest child's Graduation Ceremony put on by the nursery when she left in Summer for Reception. There are so many little touches
that make this nursery such a lovely place - such as family photos in the rooms, lots of provisions for learning and play and a fab daily menu cooked by the lovely Katie. We even got to take home a bag of fresh vegetables to make soup at home! All the staff know every child's name, no matter what room they work in. It really feels like one big family. I've noticed such a positive difference since the new Management structure too. Congratulations to you all, you're doing an amazing job!

From the day my children started, they have felt very welcome. The staff are extremely friendly & caring which makes the children feel welcome & comfortable.
There has been a restructure in management, but I can confidently say that now everything has a lot more structure which gives me confidence.
My children have built great bonds with their key workers which is nice to see.

As an LGBT+ couple who have adopted our child, picking the right nursery was critical. We looked at a number of nurseries in the area but Kids Planet stood out by far. The staff worked with us to ensure we adapted the transition period to accommodate our son’s needs. He has now transitioned into the
toddler room and between the two rooms his progress has been unbelievable. The quality of the food is excellent, they avoid plastic toys and the children spend a lot of time outside - there are snow/rain suits provided and they go out in all weathers. They have different activities every day and the kids are really stimulated and engaged. The staff are responsive to our questions and are always able to provide a detailed overview of our son’s progress. They use an app and the staff update it many times a day with nappies/food and fun photos. We can’t recommend Kids Planet Netherton enough! Our second child is due to start in September.

Our daughter has attended for almost 3 years. There were lots of changes when the franchise took over and it perhaps lost the personal touch it once had which is a shame. She enjoys going and seems happy when we pick her up. The outdoor space is lovely and it's nice to see her out and about as this
is where she is happiest. Her key worker is very nice and always gives a good handover at the end of the day. The app is a good concept although it isn't updated daily as it should be. Most of the staff are friendly and approachable. Overall we are happy with the nursery and the care our daughter receives whilst there.

We loved this nursery until it got taken over by Kids Planet and a lot of the staff left and the management changed. Some staff are lovely but the manager is very unfriendly, has no people skills and was the reason we took our children out. No feedback when collecting the children, and no app with updates
on for about 8 months.

Thank you for your review. We were sad when you left us to go to one of our other nurseries but fully understood as it was nearer to you and they could accommodate all 3 of your children on the same…read more

My little boy has been going to Kids Planet Netherton for the last 7 months since he was 8 months old and he loves it. I feel very comfortable leaving my little boy here and know the staff are amazing with him and are so helpful and friendly. The communication from the nursery to parents is great, their
facilities are also fantastic. I would highly recommend Kids Planet Netherton to other parents/friends and family.

Kids Planet, Netherton, is a great nursery, where my son has been since he was a baby, He is now in the preschool classroom and is thriving. All members of staff are polite and helpful. It really makes me look forward to picking my child up every day, as I cannot wait to hear what he has been up to
and what he has learnt. There are plenty of activities in the room, such as the messy tray, the home corner, which has a kitchen, the creative table, where they can do some drawing or painting, but the best area for me, has to be the sensory area, a space where your child can have some quiet time. The outdoor area is lovely too, we live on a working farm, so my son is such an outdoor person, therefore, it's great he has so much room to play outside, whilst at nursery, not just in the classroom.

My daughter has attended this nursery for 2 years and is incredibly happy there. The staff are wonderful, the facilities are clean and modern, and healthy, nutritious food is prepared fresh on site. Management and staff are friendly and as a parent I feel included in my child's development while she
is in their care. I am very happy with the levels of communication between myself and the nursery. Little Acorns take good care of my daughter and I feel that they really do have her best interests at heart. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to my friends and family.

A superb nursery and environment to send any child. They provided my eldest son with the highest level of care since 6 months old until five years. The staff, location and ethics are second to none and I had no hesitation in sending my youngest child to this nursery at six months old. Best nursery in
this area.

The staff at Little Acorns are all extremely helpful, friendly and encouraging. I have no hesitation when leaving my son with them. He's well looked after, fed and entertained. He has developed a variety of educational and social skills since he started coming in Autumn 2018. I highly recommend Little
Acorns. Their new building is also brilliant a full of new toys and facilities for the children. Excellent standards all round.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.591)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.591) out of 10 for Kids Planet Netherton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Kids Planet Netherton is calculated as follows: ( (44 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.674 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kids Planet Netherton is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 67 number of registered child places is 13.4. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.4 = 0.299
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
