Farthing Wood Private Day Nursery

Nappies are not changed by a clock, each child is seen as an individual. This is vital when looking for a nursery. The garden space might be small but each child loves it, a real cosy secluded space for all children to play in. There is plenty of room as they progress when ready. Amazing!

I could not have chosen a better nursery for my son to attend. All of the staff are absolutely amazing, friendly and caring. They always go the extra mile and I love the personal touches including getting their development scrapbooks to keep! My little boy is absolutely thriving and I know that is thanks to this amazing nursery and everyone who cares for him. He comes out smiling every day and ready to go back the next. He eats incredibly well and always has a variety of healthy, delicious meals. Every day is different, they do so many activities indoors and out and they are constantly helping my child to develop and grow. I couldn't ask for more, this nursery is like a home away from home.

Farthing Wood is an amazing nursery with wonderful staff. You can tell the staff really care about the children, their needs and also the needs of parents. From starting Farther Wood at the beginning of the year, the staff have been so accommodating, welcoming and caring. My little boy has progressed amazingly since starting there. Meals seem incredible too! They also do lots of wonderful activities every day. We are so happy with the nursery and all staff.

My child joined Farthing Wood after being at another nursery for twelve months which I was not happy with. I find the staff friendly and approachable, they go above and beyond for the children. My child has had significant improvement in all areas of learning since joining Farthing Wood.

My three year old attends at the moment and she really feels happy about attending. She struggled at first but the staff have been able to accommodate her.

Never had any problems with either child. Always listened to and individual needs always met. Can't say anything other than amazing!

Farthing Wood Nursery have had such a positive influence on my daughter. We had a bad experience with a childminder and we were so nervous about sending her into a larger setting as she's a lockdown baby! She is so excited to go to nursery every morning and comes out full of life and excitement ready to tell us what she has been up to! The staff are amazing! So kind and caring and really genuinely interested in the children and their families. 5 stars aren't enough to give this lovely place!

Farthing Wood is a caring nursery with great hard-working staff. I would recommend them for children of all ages. They do activities and trips out to the park. We have used the nursery for about a year and are really happy with everything. They support developmentally and really engage with the babies/children in their care.

Excellent nursery, and excellent staff. Really good care provided. Would recommend it to all. My children love coming to the nursery, I have had nephews and nieces attend this nursery in the past and it has always provided excellent childcare.

My two girls love this nursery, my eldest attended the pre-school room and now goes to wrap around care there and my youngest started in the baby room at 11 months and is now in the toddler's room. All the staff are caring and friendly and I love the home-from-home feel and the flexibility they always do their best to offer. Both girls have always looked forward to going and the staff did a great job preparing my eldest for school. I would definitely recommend it.

Ever since our son started here he has always enjoyed going and the staff have made him feel so welcomed and at ease. The feedback when you collect your child gives a great picture of what the day has entailed and they always answer any questions we ask. Even though there was a break during the ‘lockdown’ our son settled back in quickly and the management (who were the only staff in at the time) were really nurturing, then it’s been great to get the whole staff back and he really enjoys each day with the different people working with him. He is always excited to go to the nursery and he eats so well there too! It’s a shame we can’t share the experience because of the restrictions at the moment but it will be lovely to see what he gets up to later down the line. It really feels like a home-from-home setting!

Our Daughter has been attending this nursery for 5 months and as a family we love it. She settled in straight away and she's always excited to go there. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We're well informed on the sheet that comes home every day with what she's had to eat and drink, sleep times, nappy changes and the activities she's done during the day. We leave her there knowing she's in safe hands and that she'll be having a wonderful time. They do lots of different activities and she brings lots of things home that she's made. We just wish that we found Farthing Wood sooner than we did! Without a doubt, our next child will also be going there. Thank you all at Farthing Wood!

Highly recommend! Farthing Wood is my little girl's second home, she is always so happy to go and has the biggest smile on her face when picked up. She has come on so much in the last 18 months and Farthing Wood have been such a big part of this. The staff are just amazing and treat her like she is one of their own family. The staff really do go above and beyond. It really puts me at ease knowing how happy she is whilst I’m at work. This place really is just amazing, 5* keep up the amazing work you all do!

My son has been attending Farthing Wood for almost 3 years, the staff have all remained the same throughout and he has a fantastic bond with them all. He loves nursery and always has plenty to tell me after his busy day, they manage to teach through play and he has learnt so much in the time he has spent here. I love seeing his progress through his learning journal and will miss everyone and I’m sure he will too when he leaves for school. A very loving, happy place for your child.

Due to our old nursery closing down during the covid period we needed to find an alternative and fast. Farthing Wood came up near and recommended and they didn't disappoint. They have made the transition to the nursery pleasant and pain-free. The children enjoy being there and they are well looked after. At the end of the day, we get a report of what they have been up to and how they have eaten which is all useful info. The prices are more than fair and the quality of care and friendliness of staff is great. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughters joined the nursery and out of school club in September when we moved to the area. The staff are amazing and made the transition from their old nursery very easy. The variety of activities they do is fantastic. I haven’t been able to see inside the nursery due to Covid, but the girls are thriving and really love Farthing Wood.

My two boys have had another great month at Farthing Wood. From the moment they walk into nursery to the moment they leave they are always smiling and happy. I am really happy with the progress the boys are making with their educational learning and love hearing about the different learning activities they have done. I would recommend this nursery to all my friends.

They did a fantastic job with our daughter and her overall progress was outstanding and really gave her and our son the attitude to achieve anything in life as we do.
