I have been using Shepherd Lodge since 2017 when my eldest child first started in the baby room, now my youngest child goes and I honestly couldn't leave my children in better hands, all the staff are fabulous, you can see they truly care for each child and all are happy, warm and welcoming. It has a wonderful home-from-home feel the moment you walk into the building. I can't recommend Shepherd Lodge enough, definitely the best nursery in St Annes, in my opinion.

Shepherd Lodge is a fantastic nursery. The staff go above and beyond what's required of them. There have been a few occasions where I've needed their support with things like potty training and encouraging my daughter to bathe and brush her hair. Then there have been a couple of occasions where we have needed personal support, such as my husband having major surgery and the nursery helping our daughter process that Daddy may not be well for a couple of weeks. The staff, the setting, the food and the education could not be better. We feel 100% confident that our daughter is safe, secure and supported in their care. Thank you to all of the staff - we can't thank you enough.

It is an amazing setting for children. The thought and care that go into each activity make a huge difference to the children. They are thoroughly engaged all day in various activities. Our child absolutely loves the setting and cant wait for each visit.

The staff are a true asset to the nursery and I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone who asks.

Our son started nursery at the end of January as I was due to return to work. I was feeling anxious about leaving him with him being a ‘lockdown baby’, but immediately I felt at ease. I can’t speak highly enough of all the staff at Shepherd Lodge, especially the staff in the baby room where my son spends his time. He has completely taken to them and it’s clear how much they care for him and all of the other babies. They’ve taken the time to learn what he likes and doesn’t and have got to know his personality in such a short time. I feel so happy and at ease every time I drop him off. They also take the time to tell me about his day when I pick him up, and I love receiving updates about him on the app. We couldn’t have chosen a better nursery!

My little girl started at Shepherd Lodge when she was 9 months old. Since starting at Shepherd Lodge she's absolutely loved going. All the staff are so warm, friendly and make me feel very at ease when leaving. The manager is also so welcoming, friendly, and reassuring. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the staff always said I could ring whenever I wanted to make sure my little girl was ok! Also, the menu is amazing my little girl loves the food there.

Both of my children have attended Shepherd Lodge, my eldest was at the nursery from baby room all the way through to pre-school and absolutely loved the nursery. My youngest is currently in lower-pre school and has attended the nursery since he was 7 months old. Staff always go above and beyond and are so caring and considerate. My son has multiple food allergies and staff have always shown a high level of vigilance in this area and the cook has provided alternative meals for him daily. The room leaders always ensure high-quality activities are provided daily and learning which has taken place is evidenced and shared via the parent app. Staff also provide detailed feedback of learning which has taken place at collection times. All staff know each child's name and always greet them with a smile on their faces. The nursery has even begun to provide a take-away breakfast system for parents - I do not know any other nursery which cares for the children and families this much!

The nursery is amazing! The facilities and staff are all wonderful! This month, I would like to thank two members of staff, in particular, for looking after my boy! You are absolute stars! Your support shows how dedicated you both are! As a parent, I could not be any happier or more grateful to have you in my boy’s life! You are both caring, loving, hard-working and super supportive! Thank you!

Brilliant, brilliant nursery. I have both my children attending, my eldest has grown through all of the rooms and is now in pre-school and my youngest is currently in the baby room. Across each area/room of the business the staff are fantastic. They provide so much care and attention to the needs of the individual children and nurture them to the best of their ability. Their passion and enthusiasm never fades, just continues to grow. Both my children have developed great relationships with their respective key workers and the bond between them is so lovely and reassuring to see. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to friends and family, they get 5* from me.

What a wonderful nursery environment Shepherd Lodge provides. The nursery provides a very high standard of care and educational need. Each and every member of staff is a credit to the nursery. It has been a very difficult time during Covid times for children, parents/carers, and staff to deal with on a daily basis and the team of staff have managed the situation so professionally, but still providing the high-quality care to the children and their needs. The staff are wonderful, they always come across keen and with a smile, it's a real positive environment with a lovely little buzz. My child is currently in the toddler room and the staff know my child well. I love all the activities they do with him and all the things he has made he brings home. The place is very clean and there is a good selection of toys and activities, and home-cooked food is provided. The staff are knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and always happy to help you and my boy loves it here. Well done to all the staff and thank you!

My son absolutely loves going to pre-school. I have noticed such a change in his behaviour and he has really come on in his development. The staff are always friendly and I have found them to be very supportive with the parents too. They use their expertise and experience to advise on tips to help support at home with difficulties such as toilet training. The nursery is well resourced and there is a good mixture of free play and structure. Although it is expensive to send him to nursery, I feel that it is worth every penny and he has learnt so much especially surrounding his social and emotional development including sharing.

My baby started in the Baby Room in January 2018. The staff were extremely approachable and friendly and made me feel at ease when leaving my child in their care. The activities provided are very enjoyable for my child. Staff keep me updated with my child's progress and tell me everything about what she has been doing that day. When I collect my child, all children are engaged with an activity and staff are interacting with them at all times.

My little boy has been at Shephard's Lodge Day Nursery for almost 1 year. He started when he was just 6 months old and I can't recommend it enough! The staff in the baby room have been amazing. His key worker always tells me what he has been up to and his likes/ dislikes of the day. They have settled him in brilliantly.

Fantastic nursery my daughter absolutely loves it. The staff really care about the children and they do so many amazing activities with them.

Staff are amazing, caring, passionate about educating children, accommodating with parents requests, encouraging towards the children. Each child’s progression is overseen by a keyworker that spends ample time with the child and good relationship built between them due to this.

My daughter has always been very shy, but they have done a lot to help increase her confidence.

My nephew attends Shepherd Lodge and he is extremely happy and settled at the nursery. He is excited to go and recognises the route to nursery.
