My eldest son was at Nazareth House for 3 years and my youngest still goes 2 days a week. Both boys love their time there and as parents we are so happy with the care provided, the communication and the environment. Settling in was really well managed and their key workers are amazing. I was really
impressed with the school readiness they did in the oldest room and the Christmas performance was a highlight - so cute!

My daughter currently attends now, and my son attended 6 years ago.
Can't fault the nursery. The staff are excellent (most of which are still there from my son which speaks volumes), they're friendly, kind to the children and parents, and always do their best to accommodate your requests.
My daughter
loves the activities, they're always doing something new, making things, messy play, playing outside. She has a great day!
Never goes in crying and comes out smiling.
Highly recommend.

My little boy has been at the nursery for over a year now, recently moving up to the next age group. He settled in smoothly and has always enjoyed his nursery days. We love the range of activities he gets up during the day and how much time he spends outdoors. The staff are lovely and communicate well,
both me and my partner especially love the app used to update us on what our little boy has done each day including pictures.

My son started at Nazareth in January 2026 at just 9 months old. As a first time mother, I was incredibly nervous about him going to nursery but the staff at Nazareth have cleared all my nerves and doubts. They are absolutely fantastic with the children, answering any questions that I have had and are
brilliant with communication. My son has settled so well there and I enjoy seeing the daily updates and how much he is enjoying himself!

Nazareth house was recommended to me by a friend who has a child who attends there, and I'm so glad it was. My little one is genuinely happy and excited when the staff meet him at the door on his way into nursery. everyone is so friendly and it's really evident that the staff really care for the kids.
Communication is good, the nursery gets in touch if there's anything I need to know, and I get daily updates via the app which show all the fun things he's been doing all day.
When I've been stuck with things like setting up payments, someone has gotten back to me really quickly.
All in all I couldn't rate the nursery highly enough.

My daughter started Nazareth House in January 2017. This was her first time at nursery and I was a little apprehensive at what to expect. I can honestly say she is doing really well. I have found all the staff to be very helpful and caring. This nursery was recommended to me by various people and I'm
glad I decided to go with this one. The outside areas are also fantastic my little girl loves playing outside. So far so good.

I have had children at Nazareth House nursery for 7 years and right from the first day I have been very happy with the care my children have received from being 9 months to 4 years. The staff are welcoming, caring and very approachable. They treat each child as an individual. The nursery environment
is second to none and the staff make good use of it. There is a great outdoor area, including a field and woods and the children have all loved to go exploring. Even the babies are taken on regular walks to see the ducks at the duck pond. As the children get older, there is good input on learning numbers and letters and I am kept fully informed of their progress through the Early Years log. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nazareth House to other parents and do so frequently!

In my opinion, this is the best nursery in Lancaster. All three of my children have attended this nursery from 6 months onwards. Two are now at school and one still attends. The staff are extremely caring, supportive and nurturing and I have always felt content saying bye to my children. The management
team are brilliant and very accommodating - in comparison to the nurseries my nieces and nephews attend - Nazareth House is a blessing. They provide fresh home cooked food and cater for specific dietary requirements.

I've had 3 children attend Nazareth House and have always been extremely satisfied in the care they have received. My daughter who attends now has the same Key person looking after her as my daughter did 10 years ago! The staff seem happy and caring which makes it a lovely relaxing environment.

We have had experience of several nurseries over the years and this one is by far the best. The staff are attentive, it feels like a very safe environment for our daughter and she is content at nursery.
The information provided as to what the children do each day (Food, sleeps, toilets, activities)
is great and it has improved since our other children attended the nursery with the use of the eyLog app.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming and know the name of my child. It seems well organised and well managed. Staff seem to enjoy their work. Great facilities for playing outside and exploring nature. The electronic notification system is brilliant keeping you in touch with your child during the
day and being able to look at the log with my child when they come home.

Can highly recommend Nazareth House Day Nursery to any parent in the Lancaster area. The facilities are top and there are plenty of things for a child to do. The staff are very friendly, helpful and always keep parents in the loop with anything related to my child's progress and growth. The food available
is also of a very high standard and choice.
Would highly recommend.

I have used the nursery for over 6 years for both of my children. The nursery is organised, clean and my children enjoyed the facilities and food. The nursery nurses are all approachable and friendly, a home from home nursery. The grounds are lovely and peaceful for woodland trails, teddy bear picnics,
sponsored walks and my children loved baking and crafts. I will be sad when my youngest leaves for school next year.

Our son is 9 months and has been attending Nazareth House for 3 months - during his time he has developed brilliantly and we notice a marked change in him after his time at the nursery. The staff have been consistently great and the online reporting system works very well, giving a real insight into
our sons time is spent at nursery.
I would highly recommend Nazareth House to any parent.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.873)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.873) out of 10 for Nazareth House Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Nazareth House Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (60 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.873 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Nazareth House Day Nursery is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 67 number of registered child places is 13.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.4 = 0.373
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
