St Wilfrid's Pre-School

This is a fantastic preschool that we would highly recommend. The children are incredibly well looked after and staff work extremely hard to develop the children both academically and socially. They have succeeded in bringing our son out of his shell and most importantly he loves going there.

Tapestry is a great way to see what he has been doing while we're both at work.

My son absolutely loves preschool and we will both be sad to leave here at the end of the year.

A fantastic pre-school. My youngest son attends and he really looks forward to going. My eldest has recently gone to reception and made the transition seamlessly. What particularly stood out to me when choosing a setting for my children was the variety of activities on offer. Little Sports Coaching attend weekly, which my eldest absolutely loved and always looked forward to them going in on a Monday. They also provide regular Rhythm Time classes which my children attended as babies so it was nice they could continue their Rhythm Time journeys at school. The wrap-around care is also an added bonus. The staff clearly love their work and interact extremely well with the children. Highly recommend.

Amazing Pre-school, my son was in a different setting for nearly a year and he would not settle there at all, screaming every day, refused to put his uniform on and meltdowns. I changed him to St Wilfrid's Pre-School and he’s a different child, loves going, happy to put his uniform on, learning new things every day and even cries to come home.

This pre-school is excellent, the staff are so well equipped to motivate and develop the kids, they take the time to get to know them as individuals so they can respond to their needs effectively and it works so well. Their preparation for school with the kids is absolutely brilliant and it makes for such a smooth transition into reception class. I have been so impressed with St Wilfrid's Pre-School, I would recommend them highly to any parent or carer looking for a wonderful setting for their child.

My little girl has been attending the Pre-school since September 2018 and I cannot fault them at all. They’ve made her feel so welcome and a part of the community. Each day she comes home and tells me everything she has done. Her skills are being developed daily and I love the tapestry app that tells me exactly what she’s been doing and her overall ability in each area. She’s made so many new friends and she adores the staff. They are so nurturing and have really developed her skills in both numeracy and literacy. In addition, the staff are welcoming and approachable and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure all needs are met. The activities available are brilliant and having a sports specialist in once a week is wonderful. I really can’t fault the pre-school and I will be sad when my daughter moves into reception in September.

My daughter started this pre-school in January. They have been absolutely amazing, I feel it provides a warm, caring and safe environment. They let her visit 3 times before starting so she could settle in, I’ve had no problems at all, all staff are amazing and so welcoming, my daughter just runs in now not even looking back.
