Chester Day Nursery & Nursery School

Our son attended this nursery for 3.5 years, and it's been a really wonderful journey for him. The staff are just lovely, they are so passionate about what they do and highly professional, while still being genuinely caring and nurturing. You can tell they really know and care about each individual child.

The setting itself is perfect. Inside is always set up so nicely, and the outdoor area is really big and well designed, giving the children plenty of space to explore and play. We've been so impressed by the wide range of activities they get up to - the Forest School sessions were a particular highlight for our son.

Communication with us as parents has always been really good and reliable too. We are so grateful to the whole team for making his early years so positive, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery.

My child loves the staff at the nursery, and they are wonderful with him. He is always happy to attend, and sometimes doesn't want to leave as he enjoys spending time with his friends and his key workers. Although he has a couple of additional needs these have been incorporated into the day without any issues and it is very much appreciated.

Could not recommend Chester Day Nursery enough! They've been fab with my little girl who has been going since she was 9 months old and is now 19 months old. The staff in Hedgehogs are so kind and welcoming, my little one always has a big smile on her face walking into the room. She enjoys the activities set up throughout the day and the outings in the buggy bus to the park. She's developed so much since starting this nursery and it's great to see how each activity helps to develop her skills and learning. Seeing her enjoying herself on the daily pictures is a highlight of the day and always so reassuring knowing we made the right decision by choosing this nursery.

Fantastic nursery! Has made my baby boy feel so comfortable and safe, he loves experimenting with all the fun activities and trips they provide for him. They always keep us up to date with his day to day sessions as well as his overall progress. They also make me feel very happy and reassured that he is in excellent hands. The food is also excellent; healthy, fresh and a great variety of dishes every week.

Our four-year-old has been at Chester Day Nurseries and Preschool for three months, and we're so happy with it. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she settled in straight away. Her confidence and independence have grown so much, and she's now more than ready for school. Communication is great, and it's a genuinely happy, supportive environment. We were really impressed by the lovely outdoor space at the nursery, and the children also get to visit Grosvenor Park, which adds some variety. The food is also excellent - healthy and well-balanced. A brilliant nursery all round!

The staff are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, experienced and work with great care.

My son really enjoys attending and has established good relationships with the staff and children.

Communication home is very good, both in terms of daily detail and more general activity.

There are opportunities for parents and carers to get involved, for example reading with the children or attending stay and play for special days such as Father's Day.

The setting is fantastic - spacious and with a great garden where they can grow and taste their own vegetables.

As a parent, choosing the right nursery is one of the most important decisions, and I couldn't be happier with our experience at Chester day nursery. From day one, the staff have been warm, professional, and incredibly nurturing. They took the time to get to know my child personally, understanding their needs, interests, and personality. The facilities are clean, bright, and safe. There's a wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor activities, and I've noticed a big improvement in my child's social and cognitive development since joining. The curriculum is both fun and educational, striking a perfect balance between structured learning and creative play. I also really appreciate the regular updates, photos, and feedback we receive, which help us feel involved and reassured throughout the day. It's clear that the staff genuinely care about the children and take pride in what they do.

Overall, I can’t recommend Chester Day Nursery enough; the team are great, and you can tell they really care about the children.

Two years together, and we didn't have any problems. All the staff were nice and very helpful. My child is always happy to go and see everyone. They have great outdoor places and a garden with a lot of activities. Highly recommend. Thank you.

I would give this nursery more than five stars if was able. They have been beyond helpful in helping our little one get comfortable with attending a setting. Like a home from home, my little one has built a very strong relationship with her "teachers". I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

Amazing school, very hygienic school, lovely staff looking after the kids and help in every situation. Learning techniques, different activities for the children. My child is never unhappy in nursery and I feel safe leaving my child there.

My daughter also has a number of allergies.

The manager is very helpful, polite and caring, always working hard to assist staff, parents and kids.

Management are amazing and are very quick at responding to any queries you have and will help you with whatever they can.

My eldest started here in 2018 and youngest in 2020. The staff are very friendly and are interested in learning about home life and incorporating child's likes into their activities. The outdoor space is great they have a large playground and forest school area too with hammock, swing and bug hotel. Both my children have loved being here and their individual needs catered for, they both run in and have a great time and often ask to go at the weekend! Car park to park at drop off and pick up as well as storage for buggies. Very close to train and bus station. Would 100% recommend.

Parking outside is great for drop off and pick up and there is a locked shed near the door where you can put your pushchair for the day if you are walking to and from the nursery.

My child has attended the nursery since he was seven months old, my daughter is now also attending. My son loves going and has made lots of friends. He enjoys the different ranges of activities, such as forest school and the class visits they have. The nursery is a very clean and safe environment for the children and learning is promoted through a variety of techniques, so they don't realise they are learning as they think they are playing.
