The team at Thrive Frodsham Hill has a secure understanding of children's needs, this ethos is at the heart of everything they do. They provide a safe, nurturing environment in which children are supported and encouraged to grow into independent, confident and creative learners. Children are empowered to develop social skills and value each others differences. The nursery works together with families with the goal of providing children with the best possible start to their education.

The nursery is divided into four age-appropriate rooms according. Each room features a wet play area, activity area and its own toilets and changing area. The downstairs rooms open directly onto the outside play area. Children who have special educational needs and disabilities can be accommodated. Every nursery policy conforms to Ofsted national standards, copies of which are available on request and displayed at the nursery's entrance.

My little girl has attended Corner House Nursery, Frodsham (formerly Homestead) since she was 9 months old. Each room has been outstanding and we couldn’t ask for any more! The staff are so nurturing and go above and beyond each and every day. The activities planned and the overall environment is always
welcoming and engaging. The outside areas have recently been renovated and already my little girl loves what they have to offer. The animals that the nursery cares for add excitement to her day and allow the children to develop additional skills. The meals provided are nutritious and plentiful with dietary requirements carefully considered. The family feel of the nursery first attracted us to it and this has continued throughout our little girl’s time there. A fabulous nursery, would definitely recommend!

Our son has been in busy bees for 6 months; we have been blown away by this nursery. The staff go above and beyond. They are caring and attentive and the nursery manager is always prompt in responding to queries. The nursery is clean, I feel like he is safe and they have done an excellent job at prepping
him for school. Our son's key worker is very caring and our son adores her. Our son will really miss the staff when he leaves to start school in September. I can't thank the team enough for everything they've done. You are angels thank you!

My child recently moved into the Butterfly room of the nursery and the staff in the room made the transition so easy for her. The care and support given by all the staff in the nursery is amazing and we can’t fault it.

Staff have really helped to ease the transition into the nursery for both our little one and us as parents. We had a good feeling about the place when we visited and we have not been disappointed. There is excellent parent partnership and we feel involved with our child's learning journey at the nursery.
We have seen by the reaction of our child just how much they love the place, and they made a really good bond with their key worker within a couple of weeks.

Our daughter loves going to nursery. The staff are fantastic and really go above and beyond to ensure the children have a great time whilst learning so much too. The outside space and Forest School are great for the children with all the toys, experiences and pets too. Our eldest child also had a fantastic
time at nursery and was more than ready to start school, thanks to the preschool room. As working parents, we couldn't wish for a better nursery for our children.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for over 2 years and our experience has been excellent across all areas. We have been particularly impressed with the facilities, outdoor spaces and outstanding staff. We have seen our child flourish under their care. Activities are varied and well planned
to suit the children and to give them a good level of challenge and enriching experiences including caring for the pet guinea pigs and rabbits, popcats classes and even mindfulness yoga! We love that she gets lots of fresh air, are routinely updated on her progress and the staff knows her well.

Corner House Nursery has been a very positive experience for my little boy. The staff are very caring and have always made an extra effort to help him in the areas he's needed it. The activities they do always look fun, and my little boy always comes home with new words and knowledge. The nursery is
always clean and tidy. The staff work very hard. I have to thank them for everything they do.

Such a lovely nursery inside and out. The staff clearly go above and beyond for all the children in their care. The rooms have so many lovely resources out each day for the children to engage in. My daughter has been coming here since March/April time and although it took her a while to go in with ease
she now gets so excited to go in and see her friends and staff who are in her room. I look forward to seeing her lovely artwork that she brings home each day and seeing the social media posts of what fun she has had.

My son began Homestead Day Nursery during the pandemic. Choosing a childcare setting for your baby/child is daunting enough, especially through a time when you’re unable to go inside etc. We visited lots of nurseries within the area and Homestead immediately stood out for us. The staff all genuinely
care (and many have been there 10+ years so they obviously love what they do) and really took care of our worries and questions.
My son is now in the toddler room and transitions into different rooms have been well planned and we have always had fantastic communication and involvement with changes/progress.
We couldn’t say anything negative about this nursery and are grateful for their ongoing support and care.

I honestly can’t recommend Homestead Nursery enough - I have been meaning to write this review for a long time. My daughter was there from 12 months old until she left this September for school. My two and a half year old son is still there. I travel out of my way to bring my Son here (and did with
my Daughter too) as I love Homestead so much - there really is no better nursery. Every single one of the staff are so friendly and happy and know all the children's names from all the rooms. They do so many different activities there and prepare the children so well for starting school. Most importantly the children are so well looked after, and all the staff, not just the key workers really bond with and get to know the children. It feels like you are dropping your child off with family which is so nice. My son in particular loves his cuddles and it’s nice to know he gets lots of cuddles there too! There are just so many great things to say about this nursery!

Our daughter had gone to this nursery for several years. we moved away from the area late 2021. We have found that no other nursery or childcare has compared to the level of attention and care she was given at homestead. the child carers at Homestead Day Nursery are were always heavily attentive to
our daughter and made her feel loved. Since we have moved away our daughter has repeatedly asked to go back because she misses all of the staff and children.
We never had a single issue with the nursery and felt that, as parents, we were listened to.
We wish they moved with us. The staff here are an amazing bunch and you can trust them to take the best care of your child.

I cannot recommend Homestead highly enough. The staff are amazing - skilled, knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, caring, fun and professional. They offer exceptional care to the children who attend. The nursery welcomes the involvement of parents and has always made the time to talk with parents. My son
has loved his time in all of the rooms and has thrived in their care. When the children move rooms, the care and attention do not stop and all staff take the time to chat to him and give him a hug which is a fantastic message for children to receive...it shows that they continue to be important, kept in mind and cared for. Children are allocated a key worker who they develop a special relationship with, however, all of the staff know the children well. Obviously it is difficult to entrust the care of your child to another person/ people, however, when he is at Homestead I feel completely reassured that he is in wonderful hands.

Lisa

Lisa Burns

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2007

Lisa has been an asset to our team for the past 15 years. She has worked across all age groups throughout her career at Homestead however we feel she truly shines with our preschool children in Busy Bees- preparing them for their big steps to school. Lisa brings lots of exciting ideas to the nursery, supports our families and is always happy to help others. Lisa is very approachable this is reflected in her additional role of Well-being Coordinator for our team.


Lisa has 3 children of her own, all of whom are beautiful boys and keep her busy outside of work.

Jenny

Jenny Allen

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

Jenny holds 14 years of service and has a lovely, caring nature, she is super professional and full of knowledge. She offers exceptional support and guidance for our children and their families across the setting within her role as SENCO, sensitively implementing interventions where needed. Jenny supports staff in all areas of SEN provisions, whilst ensuring correct policies are adhered to at all times.
