Thrive Grosvenor House

Overall experience has been good. A lot of staff changes over the last few years has created a little uncertainty, including several changes of our child's key worker. Some of the staff have been extremely nice and helpful and it generally seems a nice environment for children. Still wonder about the staff morale since the takeover and get the impression staff are putting on a brave face at all times. But overall pretty pleased with the nursery experience and our child is typically smiling/happy to go, which is only a good thing. Many thanks for the care over the years.

We honestly cannot thank everyone at Thrive enough for the incredible experience our daughter Lily, has had. When she first started, we were naturally nervous and apprehensive, especially as she has additional needs.

Those worries quickly disappeared as we saw how happy she was and how much she loved coming to nursery. The care, patience and encouragement shown by every member of staff have been exceptional.

Lily's progress in her confidence, communication and independence has been remarkable and is a real testament to the wonderful team at Thrive.

A special thank you to Hannah for going above and beyond in organising Lily's additional support and helping us through all the paperwork and processes.

Finally, thank you to every member of staff for giving Lily such a happy, caring and positive start to her learning journey. We couldn't recommend Thrive highly enough.

We're so, so pleased that we chose Thrive - I'd visited a few other nurseries in the area which seemed a lot more hectic and "business-like" but Thrive is very homely, calm and the staff feel like an extension of family now!

Fantastic. Our 2 year old has been attending since he was 9 months old and all the staff have been wonderful. Friendly, attentive, trustworthy and supportive. Our son is bilingual and the nursery have also made a huge effort to incorporate that into his time there. Having recently moved up into the Toddler room, the transition was smooth and he continues to absolutely love it.

Our daughter started in the baby room here last September at 9 months old and despite my apprehension, the whole team made her feel so happy and settled. She has come on leaps and bounds since then, and now shouts 'yay' when we will pull into the car park! The communication is good and the app used to inform us of sleep, food and activities is updated regularly. We and our daughter couldn't be happier.

She loves all the outdoor play they do and forest school and all the different themed activities; and has even taught me many new songs that they have taught her.

My little boy has been going to this nursery for just over 2 years now and loves it. The staff are very attentive and have built a great relationship with my little one. My youngest will also be starting later on this year.

Overall both me and his dad are really pleased with how he's getting on at nursery and feel extremely comfortable with the choice we made to put him here. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone. Thanks so much for all your hard work!

The baby room team have really taken the time to get to know him and help us help him progress. It's also so lovely to see the Manager being so hands on and involved in the day to day operations. I am constantly recommending Grosvenor House and will continue to do so.

Our boy recently started the nursery in the baby room. This is a lovely nursery with a really nice feel. The staff are friendly, professional and have answered any questions with care and efficiency. They have been brilliant at helping our son (and us!) settle in - he seems so happy there and smiles when dropped off.

My son always has a big smile on his face when I pick him up from nursery. He loves the staff and I'm confident that he is well cared for and looked after. He enjoys all the activities and I love getting updates and pictures throughout the day.

My child has always come home very happy!

The staff have been so attentive, accommodating and genuinely care about supporting my daughter in her transition to nursery. The setting is amazing, the facilities are fantastic and the team that work here are exceptional. I am so excited to see how my daughter develops during her time here. I know this is the right setting for her with people that will support and nurture her.

I'm extremely happy with the progress my child has made since joining the program. He truly enjoys every part of it and looks forward to the sessions with excitement. I've noticed a remarkable improvement in his communication skills and overall confidence. Earlier, he used to be quite shy and hesitant to express himself, but now he speaks more freely, interacts with others comfortably, and participates with enthusiasm. It's wonderful to see him growing into a more confident and expressive child, and I'm so grateful for the positive environment that has encouraged this change.

My daughter has been attending Grosvenor House full-time since she turned one, and she absolutely loves going to nursery. I truly believe the staff are the main reason for this, they are always so warm, welcoming, and attentive to her needs. I really enjoy receiving the pictures and updates through the app, which give me a window into the creative and engaging activities she takes part in each day.

All of the staff are wonderful, but I'd like to give special mention to two in particular, who have made such a positive impact. Their care and dedication have given me great confidence and peace of mind, and I couldn't be happier with the experience my daughter is having at Grosvenor House.

My daughter loves coming to this nursery. She has developed strong relationships with all the staff that work with her. The staff are attentive, nurturing and professional and they follow all procedures so that my daughter is kept safe. I feel at ease knowing she is being cared for so well and enjoying herself too.

We were worried about how well he would settle after being at home with myself for 12 months but he is doing great and we are happy he is being well cared for.

Communication was lacking from Thrive when concerns or queries were raised and you were often left sending chasing emails to get a response. We experienced and felt a sudden shift in ethos, culture and morals since Thrive took over which did not align with our values. The mass exodus of staff was the final straw for us and many other parents (at least 8 have transferred to a new nursery setting).

Thrive have destroyed everything that we loved about our incredible independent Outstanding rated nursery in the two years since they took over. With hindsight we should have removed our daughter when the first wave of staff resigned and when we first started to see the warning signs. We are now left in a situation where 7 more long standing staff leave in the space of two weeks and the nursery is being inundated with child withdrawal notices. Sadly underinvestment in facilities, lack of funding to restore forest school and award winning nursery garden after flooding last year and now the planned repurposing of the excellent Cookery School facility combined with staffing concerns have resulted us in withdrawing our daughter.
