This warm and inviting nursery is staffed by a passionate team of educators who are committed to offering engaging and enriching learning experiences both indoors and outdoors, as well as within the wider community. The team prioritises each child's unique needs, ensuring personalised care and attention.
Funding & Fees

A £100 registration fee is required when you apply for a place. Various funding accepted (15 and 30 hours). We offer, Sibling discount, NHS discount, Tax Free Childcare. From the first enquiries to showings, & all the questions from a first time mum. The manager was amazing, patient and helpful.
Once he started the settling in sessions and beyond, the support again was so good. Never had a single major concern or issue.
Everything that happens I'm made aware of, the app is updated so I can track what he's eaten etc with observations done weekly. His 3 key workers have been incredible with him, as have all the staff.
I'm so happy I chose Patterdale for his early years education.

My children have been attending Patterdale Lodge Day Nursery for 18 months or so now, and the children love it.
They really enjoy the mixture of activities available and the focus on Phonics in preschool is really assisting with their speech and language.
My favourite part of the nursery is the fact that if it is nice (dry) weather they will get them outside in the fresh air to play as much as possible!!
All you want for your child is for them to come home happy and healthy at the end of the day, and the Team at Patterdale do their best everyday to make sure the children have the best day they can.

Patterdale Lodge is a fantastic nursery. I viewed several nurseries in the area and it was without a doubt that we chose Patterdale Lodge. The staff are amazing, they go beyond what is expected to ensure the children are settled and happy at nursery. The baby room leader is amazing. She carefully plans different learning opportunities for children's learning and development which is fun and stimulating. The baby room staff have made an amazing relationship with my little one, he reaches out for them each morning. My little one has excelled in all areas of learning, thanks to the well thought out learning opportunities the baby room staff provide. The baby room environment has been carefully thought through to ensure the provision is purposeful and stimulating for the children. I always leave my little one reassured, knowing he is in safe hands and that he is going to have a fun day at nursery. The communication app is brilliant, we receive observations, linking to the EYFS Framework.

Amazing nursery. Warm and welcoming staff as the child best interests at heart. My daughter been attending for over a year now and she come so far in her development they support all her SEN needs and are getting her ready to move on to primary school. They keep us informed with all new information. Always have lovely activities planed for the children to take part in.

Since our little one started at the nursery, we've seen such a big improvement in their speech and social skills! The staff keep us well-informed throughout the day via the app, and they're always quick to respond to any questions we have. They do a great job with a variety of themed activities, often based around the seasons or cultural events, and our little one especially enjoys all the outdoor play!

From a Nana point of view, we have been attending Patterdale for a long time I have an 11-year-old who attended then a 7-year-old attended when they were both young. Now I have a 20-month-old attending. Patterdale has always been good to us and even though changed hands from the old manager to another company that took over once the old manager retired, to now Planet Kids most of the staff have stayed the same. So it's familiar faces even when my 7-year-old goes it's like family. My older two would love to go back.
Excellent wouldn't change anything about it, just keep up the good work girls.

The nursery as a whole is absolutely outstanding the staff are amazing the facilities are outstanding and the overall care that has been given to my son is amazing I can not fault them at all just all round amazing.

Meet the Team (1)
I have been at the Nursery Manager here at Patterdale Lodge since 2022, after working as Deputy Manager at our sister Nursery Canal House and Room Leader at our sister Nursery Linden House.
I have a little girl who is nearly 4 years old who has been with me in Nursery since she was 6 months old. It has been lovely to watch her thrive alongside my long-standing team members, who are like family to us.
I have a level 3 in Childcare, and I'm also the Designated Safeguarding Lead, which I am passionate about, to keep all our little ones safe and secure.
I have focused on developing my skills as a Manager and completing all the different training to support all staff, children and families.
I have been in childcare for over 15 years now. It was always something I wanted to do, and I'm so proud to manage such a fantastic nursery.
