Kids Planet Hazelhurst is housed in a thoughtfully designed two-story facility situated on a 0.6 acre property with fantastic outdoor play areas, such as a yurt, construction zone, Summer house and mud kitchen. The management team at the nursery regularly assesses and evaluates their methods to ensure that staff are well-informed and capable of assisting every child in reaching their maximum potential before moving onto school.

Friendly and caring staff. Warm and cosy environment. Lovely outdoor spaces. Varied activities - playing and learning. Good food options for breakfast, lunch and tea. Staff will alert you if they feel your child is not well or not feeling themselves.

My son is in toddler 1 room and my husband and I are really pleased with how quickly he has settled in. The staff and his key worker in particular are warm, caring and seem to have a great relationship with our son. He seems to enjoy the food and is always happy when we collect him at the end of the
day. Thank you.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Kids Planet took over our nursery in Spring of 2024. Although it took some time to embed new processes, the nursery is working very well. All rooms and equipment have been updated and the building feels warm and welcoming.
The staff are excellent with the children and I feel my daughter has a bond
with the team. I feel like my daughter is safe and well cared for in nursery and what's more, she enjoys her time there.
Staff encourage the children's development and work with them to ensure they are meeting their development milestones. Staff provide a debrief each day of how my daughter has been and communication with parents is good.
I would recommend the nursery to other parents without hesitation.

Emily Fearn

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I am Level 3 Childcare Qualified and have worked in Early Years settings since 2016. I started in a private day nursery as an apprentice, and when I qualified in 2018, I progressed through Kids Planet, first becoming the Manager at Kids Planet Astley Bridge, Bolton. In June 2023, I moved to Kids Planet Leigh as manager, supporting the acquisition and improving the nursery for the children, families, and staff team.


I have done a variety of training to upskill myself, and I am also Paediatric First Aid Trained as well as a Mental Health First Aider and the Designated Safeguarding Officer. During my time at Kids Planet, I have faced a lot of challenges and learnt a lot along the way.
