I am so happy and content to leave my one-year-old at KA. The staff in Woddler 1 are amazing, kind, caring, professional and very attentive. I know that he always has fun there and is well looked after. I especially like the menu and the extensive outdoor play area for all rooms, fabulous nursery all
round.

Our daughter has become so independent and confident in the time spent there. She has learnt so much with regards to manners, eating varied foods and dressing. She has learnt how to ride a bike, been on several trips (most weeks) and currently enrolled for the forest school. KA also supports parents
with paediatric first aid and are flexible with swaps, changes.

I am really happy with the care my two children have received over the last five years. My eldest child is now in the after school club (having been right through the nursery) and my youngest is in the Woddler room. Both children were settled in with such care and attention and this has continued daily
ever since.
Everyone is so professional, from the manager to the super helpful reception team.
I couldn't ask for a better childcare provider.

I have a little girl in preschool who can't wait to start in prep school in September and another little girl who is going to be starting soon.
I can't wait for her to start her journey through Kids Allowed making lots of friendships and getting involved in all the fabulous and messy activities.

My son joined the Kids Allowed centre when he was six months old and he absolutely flourished during his time. He is now six years old and regularly attends the Holiday Club. He always asks when he's next coming as he has a great relationship with the staff and can't wait to tell all his friends back
at school what he's been up to. As a parent, you couldn't wish for any better. I loved the nursery so much that I now send my daughter. Within a week she was settled, eating and genuinely was having the best time. She is very well fed and her progression through the weaning stage has been great, thanks to the continuing support I receive from the team. She's now turning one and getting ready to leave the baby room and start Woddlers. I know she's in extremely capable hands and the staff genuinely take an interest in her development. Having my children here, I can properly focus on my work and not worry knowing they are being looked after by affectionate, well-trained and knowledgeable staff.

5 stars. I would highly recommend Kids Allowed to anyone who asked me about putting their child into childcare. My son started when he was 2 years old and has been through toddlers and then into preschool. The leader in toddlers is amazing as is the leader in preschool. Both along with their teams have
made my son feel so welcome and settled him into nursery life. The manager is an asset to Kids Allowed and does the most amazing job at the Cheadle centre.

So first time mother going back to work, was really worried about putting my son in nursery and went to visit Kids Allowed and saw how fantastic the facilities are as well as the staff, plus they showed us examples of the activities they take the kids through - even the babies have such full and fun
days. My son has since loved going, it has made him expressive and talking more and confident. They give a daily report to you so you know exactly when they slept, they ate etc. - what fun they had, really detailed and you don't feel like you miss out. The food options and frequency they feed the kids is great, so you can have peace of mind that when you collect them at the end of the day they are full and it's just bath and bedtime when you get home. I would recommend highly and in particular give a shout out to the manager of the baby room who is phenomenal as well as the lady who is the assigned contact for my son, as well as the rest of the team I have dealt with at different days.

Our daughter joined Kids Allowed when she was seven months old, she's now two and we couldn't be happier with everyone at the nursery. Going back to work is hard enough but knowing she's in good hands and enjoys every moment whilst she is there makes it a little easier. Throughout the three rooms she's
been in so far as she's progressed into the toddler room, her key workers have been exceptional. There are days when her key worker hasn't been around but what's reassuring is that all the other staff know our little girl and make her feel comfortable at drop off time. Every day she's coming home excited to tell us about her day, what's she's eaten and who she's played with. The development we have seen has been fantastic and we couldn't recommend the nursery any more than we already do! In fact, since we have been there two of our close family/friends have joined! They are flexible with swap days and extra sessions too which as a busy family is really helpful! Keep up the excellent work!

A really professional, yet friendly nursery. There are lots of procedures in place to ensure that the children get what they need - both in safeguarding and learning, and this is done without taking away from the human side.
I'm regularly impressed with words and phrases that my son has learnt at
Kids Allowed.
The facilities are really good, and the daily reports on what the children have been doing are great. It's lovely to hear about their day, but handy to know what they've eaten and their "toilet business".
I was concerned about "leaving my baby with strangers", but he's always been well looked after, and the variety of learning, entertainment and food that he gets is far better than it could have been staying at home.
The wifi and coffee and tea for parents is a nice touch, as is the fruit on the way out.

My child has just left Kids Allowed Cheadle Royal after 3.5 years. His experience has been excellent and, as parents, ours has too.
I cannot fault the service they deliver whatsoever. All staff members are friendly and caring.
Leaving your precious child in the care of others is one of the most difficult
things to do but knowing you are leaving them in a happy environment makes it less traumatic.
It’s a very organised place, with lots of in-house events and activities balanced with exciting trips out.
My child has learnt so much whilst there and has thoroughly enjoyed himself in every way.
I would highly recommend to anyone.

Kids Allowed provided a safe, nurturing and fun environment for my daughter. I was never concerned when dropping her off as I knew she would be safe well cared for and have fun. All the staff are well trained and engaged in their work, they care about the children and are extremely professional. This
is a place where the children truly seem to thrive. One thing I found impressive was the consistency of the staff which I believe is very important to children at this age. The trips that the children are taken on are also a lovely addition.

I cannot rate Kids Allowed highly enough. Two of my children have attended and I will be sending my third when they’re older. The care and support given by the staff has ensured that my children were ready and excited to start primary school and helped to develop their confidence. Lovely, friendly staff.

All staff at Cheadle are phenomenal. The manager always makes the effort to talk to my son and ask about his day. The room leader cannot do enough for my son's well-being and development and I cannot express our gratitude. The toddler room apprentice has built such an outstanding relationship as well
and my son loves them at the nursery in general.

I wanted to put down in writing how great Kids Allowed was for my child. My son was one of the first children to start at Kids Allowed and we were shown around Cheadle Royal when it was a building site. The manager's passion for her nursery shone through from the start and we were never let down. The
staff that looked after my son were amazing and some 6 years after he has left are still friends to this day. My son has gone on to be a great pupil at school and is always praised for his behaviour amongst his friends and his ability to achieve great results in class. This is far from how I was at school and my wife and I put this down to the grounding he got from Kids Allowed in his first 4 years. When he started primary school he came from full time at Kids Allowed and was more than prepared to start learning following the excellent support from the staff at Kids Allowed.
I cannot recommend Kids Allowed enough, it is wonderful.

My 20-month-old loves this nursery. The staff are lovely and have a genuine interest in her. The activities are fantastic and the variety of food is great. They do courses eg paediatric 1st aid which is great. Love the fact that they have a woddlers some nurseries just have baby's and toddlers. Only
negative it is a bit pricey.

My only disappointment with this nursery is their 'staff to child' ratios for excursions.
They have 2 members of staff accompany 11 children on coach trips to local cities and attractions.


For me this ratio is fundamentally dangerous.


It only takes one missing child, or one of the two staff to

have to deal with a major incident or fall ill whilst in Liverpool, and they could have a disaster on their hands.


I challenge anyone to find a nursery with a lower ratio.


What I do know is that as soon as our kids go to primary school they will insist on a 4 to 12 ratio.


That's twice as many adults. And these kids are older!
We've raised it with management but it has fallen on deaf ears.


The saddest part? My son said to me recently 'I don't go on day trips do I daddy' and it broke my heart.


So I'm left in an impossible position.
Do I let him go on the coach and hope for the best, or deny him that pleasure, keep him safe and hope he isn't affected in the long term because I denied him day-trips?

Reply from jennie johnson at Kids Planet Cheadle RoyalHi, as you know when we discussed your concerns together, we risk assess each trip we do individually. Some trips are on a 1:2 ratio, 1:3, others on a 1:5 etc, some are risk assessed and we assess them as unsafe for children of this age and we do not do them at all. Staff can only lead a trip if they have received extra training and this is refreshed often. We also provide "walkadile" harnesses where the risk assessment feels it is needed and finally we also know for each location we go to, what support we would get from the location (if any) in the event of an emergency. We do take child safety very seriously and we have reviewed our policy on the basis of your feedback but felt confident we have considered this appropriately, especially as each trip is assessed uniquely. All team are also first aid trained, carry essentials in a "trip bag", have a mobile phone to call for support etc. We will keep the policy under review and are never complacent about safety.

After moving my daughter from a smaller nursery setting we've found she's come on leaps and bounds in the Cheadle pre-school. She's becoming much more confident and is taking more of an interest in phonics and numbers etc. It seems as though most days there is an element of learning incorporated to
playtime. She's also been lucky enough to go on some outings which she has been very excited about!

  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Hi, I’m Kirsty,


I began my childcare journey in 2000 and have loved supporting children’s growth and development ever since. I’ve been part of our nursery family since 2006 and bring over 10 years of leadership experience.


Alongside my childcare qualifications, I hold an A1 Assessor Award, a Level 3 SEND qualification, and a Sleep Coaching certification.


I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, and every family feels supported. Seeing children flourish and helping families along the way is what makes my role so rewarding!
