Sylvan House Day Nursery

My son has had the best time at Sylvan House. I knew it was the right nursery for us the moment we stepped in. I was a little apprehensive as I'm sure all new parents are but the nursery staff put me at ease straight away with their caring supportive attitude. He has grown into a super confident little boy who is ready to start school. I cannot praise this nursery and staff highly enough!

I would highly recommend the nursery and feel privileged to have watched my children develop and continue to develop within their nurturing environment.

The staff are fantastic. They arrange learning activities and methods I'd never think of. They were so encouraging when it came to toilet training time (for me too not to give up!). I love that they have been in close contact with big school in the run-up to him starting, so he's not starting his first day completely unknown. Everyone is approachable and informative. They update your child's personal account frequently so you can see what's been going on that day. Doesn't stop you from missing them though!

A really outstanding nursery. I am so delighted I chose Sylvan House. My daughter has been coming three days a week since she was 9 months, and the development I've seen in her is fantastic. The girls in the baby room treat my daughter like their own; they are kind, affectionate, attentive and excellent at what they do. The food variety is great, and she is really well fed and cared for, with a detailed report at the end of the day showing food intake, sleep times, nappy changes, mood description etc. The app that the nursery use is A-star, and I look forward to numerous updates, photos, videos and notes about what she's up to. Communication is excellent throughout the day and at handover. Well done, Sylvan House, you've made returning to work so much easier!

Love this nursery in so many ways. One of the biggest reasons to choose this place when I researched lots in the area was the people who work there. The manager is phenomenal with such a caring nature, as are all other members of staff. My daughter has had the pleasure of being here for the last three years; she absolutely loves it. Her confidence has come on massively, along with her independence. They continually surprise me with their ideas and go the extra mile. My daughter was off with chicken pox during her birthday; the teacher and children sang happy birthday to her on the online account and posted the video. There are so many things I could mention about this nursery, but overall, in my opinion, it's the best in the area.

My daughter has been at the nursery full time since October and 4 days ranging from March to August this year (due to covid and work commitments changing) and I have really noticed a difference in my child’s confidence, learning ability, development and her eating. I am really pleased with her progress and I believe it is down to the support she and I both receive from the lovely nursery staff. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough for providing me with the confidence in knowing my child is not only looked after but also nurtured by the staff and she really enjoys her time at nursery which says a lot when you drop off and collect her, she is a very happy little girl.

The staff are amazing, committed and brilliant with the kids, they really know them as individuals and tailor things to them. Both of our kids absolutely loved going and we always felt confident leaving them in safe hands. We were very sad to leave!

My son has been going to this nursery for 12 months now and I’m so pleased with it. He starts when he was 12 months and I loved how the baby room was set out and how the staff were with the little ones. He's now in the next class op and he absolutely loves it. The staff are great. The nursery is clean and well looked after. Their covid regulations are effective and clear. I saw a few nurseries before looking at Sylvan House and none of them measured up. I would highly recommend it to all parents.

My son has loved every minute at Sylvan and we will be sorry to say goodbye. I would definitely recommend this lovely nursery.

Both my daughters have attended Sylvan House over the last 4 years with my youngest still currently attending. The staff are all excellent, very caring and treats the children like one of their own which is reassuring. The nursery is clean and tidy. My girls have always spoken fondly of the staff upon coming home and even till this date, my eldest gets a warm welcome whenever she sees the staff. Food provided is varied and healthy throughout the week. Management has been flexible and tries to accommodate whenever possible which is an added bonus. Lots of new improvements have been introduced over the last couple of months such as parents forum, online updates which are further improving the nursery standards.

You will all be missed greatly.

We’ve had our son in Sylvan House since he was 9-months-old. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Every aspect of care, cleanliness, support and development is second to none. He absolutely adores all the staff in the room and can’t wait to return each morning, greeting his key worker with open arms. He loves it so much when we go to collect him, quite often he doesn’t want to leave. We receive online updates, pictures, videos and daily summary sheets, so we know what he has been learning during his time there. It is great that we can update it ourselves to ensure we are all on the same page in his development. We viewed several nurseries in the area and just knew this was the one when we walked through the door.

My daughter has been coming to this nursery since she was one, and her development has come on leaps and bounds. I can not fault any staff member as they are all friendly, happy and very helpful. My daughter always comes home happy and cheerful and tells me about her day with excitement in her voice, which tells me she has had another great day.

My daughter really enjoyed the family story night arranged by the nursery. I feel that she benefited a lot from this. She loves the stories that were read and she loved all the activities put on by the staff. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone because of the close bond my daughter has with all the staff. They are very welcoming and friendly and they will do anything to help and advise.

Both my children have attended Sylvan House Nursery and have loved it! They are nine years apart, so l have experience across 12-years with Sylvan House and the team. They really care for the individual child and its very genuine/ heartfelt. The team take on board any wishes you have in relation to your child whilst they are there and will feedback to you daily as needed. The kids are always beaming with smiles when you collect them and have great little friendships together. Would highly recommend Sylvan House, the staff team and the facilities
