My son absolutely loves this nursery! The staff are always happy and friendly and are able to tell me on pick up exactly what my child has done that day. I love the photos we get of the activities he does, and there are so many things they get to do, such as signing words and baby yoga! I feel like the staff truly care about the children in their care, and I have full confidence in leaving my son with them. The meals are varied and sound delicious. We're always kept in the loop via updates on the app too. They have recently got a lot of new toys/resources for the children too, there are many lovely activities set up for them to explore! I fully recommend this nursery!
What makes it such a special place are the staff. They are friendly, kind and genuinely care. They get to know the children as individuals and support their development.
From the outset we've had a positive experience, starting with a supportive approach to the settling in process. This continued as our child transitioned from babies to toddlers.
Communication is excellent - we receive regular updates about activities and individual development, we are promptly informed of any issues during the nursery day (e.g. illness) and at pick up staff always chat to us about how our child has got on.
The environment is very pleasant, with resources and equipment to engage the children and a good outdoor space which is well utilised. There is continued improvement and investment in resources and facilities.
Staff deliver a range of engaging activities, including signing classes.
The food provided is varied and healthy.
My son is really happy in the baby room and the staff are brilliant with him. His communication is really coming along and he's picked up a lot of signing through sign language classes which is just fantastic.

The variety of meals they are offered is also amazing and has helped us make more interesting food at home to give her.
The last few weeks the app hasn't been updated that well. I totally understand that the staff are busy but it would be nice to know what she has eaten as then it helps us plan what she might need when she gets home. Also, we have only received photos maybe twice since she started. It would be lovely to get these more regularly to see her having fun and playing with other children as I do worry she doesn't do this.
The staff are so friendly and keep me updated in the day if she has had an accident or an issue which I love. My little girl loves going here and often doesn't want to leave. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking in the area.
There are lots of activities prepared for them during the day, the outside space is excellent and they love the food!

Staff are fantastic and have built strong relationships with the children and parents. They always provide a review of the day. They ensure they put on a variety of activities to keep the kids stimulated. When the weather permits they try and get the kids outside. The food is fantastic, my child loves it.
My daughter has been attending this nursery since May 2024, and the settling-in process was excellent. The management were very accommodating, allowing us to have as many sessions as needed to ensure we felt comfortable. The timings on the nursery's app are often inaccurate. Over the past two months, I've had to call the nursery three times to confirm nap and meal times. I'm frequently told that the iPad is either charging or there aren't enough staff to update it regularly. This leaves me worried, as it sometimes appears that my daughter hasn't been offered any food all day, or she hasn't or that she's slept for an unusually long period. I would love to receive more photos of my daughter while she's at nursery. Currently, we receive pictures through the app about once a month, if that. I've heard that other nurseries provide photos during each session, which would be a nice improvement here. Overall, the staff are very kind and caring. I would recommend this nursery.
My son is really happy at nursery and has settled well. The girls and boys are really friendly. Any concerns I can approach them easily as they do with me. My son loves doing baby yoga and all the activities i.e. painting, singing etc.
The Forest School sessions provide brilliant opportunities for exploration, team work and fun!
Further, the staff have shown themselves not only willing but enthusiastic about nurturing and developing where special needs are concerned. They have gone out of their way to understand not only the needs but the steps they need to take.
Best of all, they stuck with it over a period of time.
The staff are all truly dedicated to the welfare and well-being of the little ones in their charge. Ongoing training is provided for the staff and sometimes extended to parents.
Play is an important part of life, especially for kids, and the staff are brilliant at having fun with the children.

I have been working in the childcare sector for 20 years now. I started my journey as an apprentice and slowly worked my way up the ladder.
I have been working at Mapperley for just over a year now after moving over from our Sherwood nursery. Working with children has always been a passion of mine and since becoming a leader, I've always strived to provide the best quality of childcare with my amazing team. We pride ourselves in providing all children with the best start on their own individual learning journey.
