We cannot fault this nursery, staff are absolutely brilliant, both professional and friendly. We can leave our daughter and feel confident she will be very well looked after.
Thank you to the manager and all the staff at the Paper Moon Nursery!
My first child started at Paper Moon Day Nursery in September. I thought that the process of leaving my child at nursery for the first time would be horrible but it wasn't. The nursery allowed me to have as many settling in sessions that I felt that my child and I needed. When I first left my child for the entire day I felt completely comfortable that they would be well cared for by the fantastic staff. I was not wrong. It only took a few short weeks for my child to settle in and now they absolutely love coming to Paper Moon. When we get to the car park they can't wait to get out of the car. All of the staff and facilities are excellent.
Both daughters have attended the nursery from baby unit onwards. They have not only been taken care of but have also been loved by the staff team.
The team work hard to have a partnership with parents and use this to effectively link the child's life in and outside of the nursery. They are also exceptionally supportive and flexible. In terms of preparedness for school entry, something you don't always consider when looking for a place for your baby. I cannot praise highly enough, from the routines to the individual focus on the children.
I was so worried about leaving my daughter to go back to work. She was 4 months when she started a few trial sessions to ease her in at Paper Moon and started 3 and half days a week when she was 5 months. She settled so well with the staff, I had no worries when it came for me to actually go back to work. She has progressed so quickly while at nursery due to the staff encouraging and reviewing her developmentally. She is currently weaning and the nursery has met her needs exactly. Even trying a few new ideas I hadn't thought of, they're great! Her next stage is crawling and Paper Moon are encouraging her to become more and more active. She really enjoys going to nursery and we can tell she is well loved. She hasn't cried once when dropping her off, something I was not looking forward to but she loves the social there and she gets excited to go in. I would recommend Paper Moon to anyone looking for loving and nurturing childcare.
The environment at this nursery is warm and friendly and my son experiences a sense of belonging and is acknowledged and encouraged by all. My son has a developmental delay and the manager at this nursery has been very supportive and applied for funding facilitating additional one to one support for several hours a week for him. Since attending his speech, fine and gross motor skills and confidence have dramatically developed and he knows all the names of the staff and talks with animation about them all at home. My son looks forward to attending.
My daughter loves going to nursery at Paper Moon - the staff care so much about the kids they look after, make food she loves and play games, sing songs, etc. It's a lovely atmosphere. I'm a single parent and management are very flexible when it comes to booking additional time at late notice, which I really appreciate - it never feels like it's any trouble. My favourite thing of all is how they handle events and birthdays - there's often a little party going on and my daughter probably now knows more Christmas songs than I do! Paper Moon really gives my daughter and I the support we need - it's wonderful to be able to take her somewhere I know she'll have lots of fun and be well cared for.
My son has been attending this nursery since he was 9 months old and he absolutely loves the nursery. He has very good, strong relationships with the workers and he always looks forward to going there in the morning; both of these things for us as parents are very important.
My son has food allergies, which the nursery has been very good at accommodating, and have been flexible when the allergies have been challenging.
The nursery is keen to encourage creative play, often involving things from home being taken in for the children to enjoy and share experiences.
I would recommend this nursery and would be open to using any of the Paper Moon Day Nursery if I had to base this on our experience of the Compton Acres site.
Amazing place. It's a 'home from home'. My son loves it. There is plenty for the children to do and I genuinely feel that the staff care about the children. The nursery has always been on hand to help me as a parent as well. Can't recommend enough. I will be sad when my little one has to go to school.
The most important thing when putting my child in daycare was that he was happy and I can honestly say my son loves coming to this day nursery. The staff are a lot of fun and genuinely love the children in their care. The staff can't do enough to help and are very approachable if any issues do arise.
I have been so happy with the care my daughter receives at Paper Moon. She has been there since she was a baby and is now in the Butterfly (pre-school) room. My daughter has a rare syndrome which causes developmental delay, behavioural problems, learning and communication difficulties to name but a few. The staff at the nursery have taken her in and loved her as if she were their own. They have helped her in so many ways.....learning to socialise, communicate, follow rules and routines and she is even beginning to recognise numbers and letters. They have played a huge part in toilet training her recently which we didn't think she would do but with Paper Moon's help and support she's done it! I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for her and for supporting us as a family through what have been some challenging years for us. We will be sad to say goodbye in September.
