I would highly recommend the nursery to others. My son is always happy and excited for his 'nursery days'. He always comes back home with little pictures for me which I love. The staff are friendly and the environment is warm and welcoming.

My son always comes home really happy and messy, looking like he's had a good day. The things my partner has told me, the things I've seen myself when picking him up and attending the Christmas play is that all the staff are brilliant with the kids and parents. The nursery is very organised and clean.
I love the fact of how much time the staff spent teaching the children. Since my little boy has started, he has learnt a lot that he didn't know when he first started. So glad we send him here.

My son has been attending nursery from 4 months old. He is always happy and smiley when I pick him up and drop him off. The staff are very helpful and always able to offer any advice. I would highly recommend the nursery. When viewing others nothing compared to Cherubs Wynndale. The management team
are helpful and also flexible.

The staff are very lovely. My son loves coming here and enjoys playing with the other children and with the staff. His speech and counting ability have come on leaps and bounds. It's nice to know that my son won't kick up a fuss when it comes to ('school time') because he loves coming and learning and
trying new things.

Cherubs Wynndale is a fabulous nursery and a fantastic environment for all children. The staff are kind and caring and offer a wide range of learning experiences for the children. The credit to this nursery is seeing how well the children develop during their time at the setting.

In the last few months, my son's learning has really improved and I feel he is developing a lot better. The menu is being reviewed and the staff are looking into changing it more frequently so that when my son is in on set days, he's not having the same meals and not just pizza and fish fingers etc,
more healthy meals.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.847)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.847) out of 10 for Cherubs Wynndale is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.972 for Cherubs Wynndale is calculated as follows: ( (175 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 180 Ratings = 4.972
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Wynndale is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 63 number of registered child places is 12.6, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Head of Nursery Joined: 2013

Hello, I'm Becky - Head of Nursery at Cherubs Wynndale. Growing up within a large family unit and being the eldest I was like a second mum to my brothers and sisters and cousins. Babysitting for family and friends growing up, helping them with their homework and listening to them read or talk about their problems made me realise that childcare was something that I enjoyed doing and I was good at it.

I really enjoy my role at Cherubs Wynndale supporting the staff team, working closely with parents and watching the children learn, grow and develop all the time is very rewarding, being there to listen and support children in their everyday learning and development makes all the hard work in between worthwhile. My future career plans would be to work my way up at Cherubs Nurseries and to provide the best for the children we care for we are always looking to move forward and better ourselves and practice in order to achieve the best outcome for the children we care for.

Job Title: Assistant Head of Nursery Joined: 2006

Hello, I'm Nicola - Assistant Head of Nursery at Cherubs Wynndale. I have been with Cherubs Nurseries since 2006 and have been lucky to work my way up from an Early Years Educator, working across 4 of our amazing nurseries. I have always found teaching, learning and developing children a very rewarding career. Knowing that I have supported and nurtured a child’s progression from their early start in life is a very comforting feeling and is something I take a lot of personal satisfaction from.

I am qualified for NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Level 4 in Management. Alongside this, I am also a qualified Assessor and work with our Apprentice Early Years Educators to coach and inspire them - supporting them to achieve their Level 2 or 3 Apprenticeship.
