St Bernard's is fantastic! My son has been there since May 2024 when he was 8months old. He absolutely loves it and loves the staff. The nursery is spotless but honestly the staff make it for us. All staff are friendly, informative, enthusiastic and so caring towards the children and parents. My son
is very outdoorsy and the garden provides him with safety, enjoyment and learning by having fun. The seasonal menus provide a very good variety which is something we as parents advocate. The app provides updates on daily activities aswell as toileting and food.
I have family and friends that have used the nursery over the years and highly recommended it to us. I also recommend it to other parents. We feel very lucky to have secured a placement for our son.

St Bernard's have been amazing with my son. He has come on leaps and bounds. They are so attentive, empathetic and understanding. Ive always felt that I am dropping my son off at a family members house, as they ALL care for him as they would their own. They are always coming up with fun and creative
things to do with the children, they are very much focused on the curriculum and implementing the core values into the setting. They communicate effectively and nothing is ever too much trouble. I am always noticing such positive changes to my son's language, skills and behavior. The staff are second to none, such a wonderful team of staff

St Bernard's is a fantastic nursery and really has a person centred approach. They do everything to meet your child's needs and are really keen to ensure they go at your child's pace supporting and nurturing their development. The staff are fantastic and very approachable and clearly get to know the
children and spend time talking about their interests. I feel very lucky my children get the support St Bernard's provide

My child has been attending the nursery since he was just over one. The nursery have been fantastic all round. They have a child centred approach to care/learning and go out of their way to ensure children feel safe, happy and provide them with lots of learning opportunities. My child has built fantastic
relationships with staff members and I feel confident at every drop off that he will have a great day. The food provided is varied, healthy and my boy loves it! I could not wish for a better setting, I am so pleased I chose this nursery.

St.Bernards is a truly fantastic nursery! As a first time mum I was so incredibly nervous about having to return back to work and put my little one into nursery but the staff at St.Bernards were so supportive, messaging me throughout the day with updates and photos to make me feel at ease that he was
settled. The managerial team have always been quick and efficient with communication with any enquiries I had and I absolutely adored the home visit before starting as it felt so personal. My little one has been there for 4 months now and loves every single day he's there, I always get a thorough run down of his day and you can tell all of the staff have such a 'home from home' approach which is so wonderful. I also love the extra curricular activities they do that include the families such as; a Mother's Day tea and cake on a Saturday, they go above and beyond to promote partner partnership which is fantastic!

I reviewed here back in 2022 when my daughter attended St Bernards Day nursery, and now our son enjoys his days here too! As soon as he was born, I put an application in to ensure we got a space for him when I was ready to return to work, and I'm so glad we did! Like his older sister, our son adores
the Aunties, enjoys the food and activities, and is thriving from his time here. 100% recommended!

Both of my children attend St Bernard's, and I've always been so happy I chose them. My children are always excited to attend and talk enthusiastically about their time there. They have both developed lovely relationships with the 'aunties' and their peers. My eldest often comes home telling tales of
things the aunties do with the kids that they all love and make them laugh, they really go over and above to make it a really wonderful environment. You can tell the aunties all genuinely love their jobs and working together, which gives me as a parent confidence in them to do their best for my children. The activities always sound really exciting and relevant to the children's interests and national days etc. they even turned an entire room into a beach with real sand and an ice cream bar for role play last summer! Parents get invited in for mothers/Father's Day and Christmas celebrations and I've always felt like the staff are approachable and helpful. Couldn't recommend them enough!

My little boy has been attending St Bernards since January 2025, he was just 9 months old when he started.
I cannot tell you how supportive the whole team have been, from the initial visit from one of the aunties to meet him before he began (she played with him and spent time getting to know him)
to his first day.
Every step of the way the aunties have been brilliant.
Within the first few weeks of going he had learnt to clap and wave.
He was a little nervous to begin with (so was I to leave him) but the aunties made sure to update me and his dad and make sure we knew he was having lots of fun.
They always have a wide range of things to do and play with, he is kept entertained all day!
My little one loves going to nursery now, as soon as the door opens he has a huge smile on his face.

Absolutely amazing nursery with wonderful caring staff! They are not just teachers, they're a family, so my daughter feels safe and loved. They are very communicative, keeping me informed about her daily activities, including nappy changes, meals, and what activities she has enjoyed. They also address
concerns quickly and effectively. I am very happy with the care and the positive impact they have had on my daughter's social and emotional development. My daughter always looks forward to going to nursery! Thank you sooo VERY much for everything you do to stimulate learning and genuinely care for the children.

As a first time Mum I looked around a lot of nurseries and I knew the first time I looked around St Bernard's it was the one for us.
Safety was paramount to me and I felt from the get go my daughter would be in the best hands.
It's a small personable nursery and it's clear to see the staff adore
the kids in their care.
I was really impressed before the settling in session a member of staff came to our house to meet our daughter for an hour so when she went for the settling in session she was familiar with staff members and they even had toys ready for her to play with that she liked playing with.
I'd highly recommend St Bernard's.

Our little one started at St Bernard's in November 2024 and it took a little while for them to settle in but the nursery were incredibly supportive and patient during this settling in period. The communication from the nursery is always excellent and the care they provide has been fantastic. As a first
time parent I was worried about leaving my child but all of my worries were listened to and understood. There are always lots of varied activities both indoor and outdoor. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Bernard's to anyone looking for a nursery in the area.

Cannot fault the nursery, my child loves all the aunties! He has really grown on his skills, his speech has come on, his singing too! staff are all lovely, always helpful when I call up to ask any questions if I’m unsure on policies, the environment is very home from home. The facilities especially
the garden area is great, the little touches they do around Xmas when they had Santa come was great.

My little girl attends St Bernards Day Nursery - as a first-time Mum, I always worried if sending my daughter to nursery at a young age was a good idea and it was a great decision. She settled in very fast and thoroughly enjoys her time at nursery. The staff are amazing and always very welcoming and
caring towards each individual child, communication is brilliant and the staff are a true assets to the nursery! Environment is always clean and tidy and I can't rate St Bernards highly enough!

We love St Bernards Nursery! Our son has only been going for ten months but in that time he has made a great bond with all the staff he interacts with there. He absolutely loves going and always does so many varied and engaging activities whilst he is there. The staff are really friendly, welcoming
and approachable and clearly love what they do. The environment is always very clean and tidy and the communication from the staff is excellent. We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice in nursery.

As a first time Mum, I was apprehensive about leaving my little boy at nursery, however, I can honestly say that I couldn't be happier with my choice of nursery in St Bernards and would wholly recommend it to others. The staff are incredible and make the nursery the wonderful place that it is - they
are warm, approachable, understanding and go above and beyond in all that they do. The nursery's family-feel is what attracted me to it, with staff informing me 'we care for the children as if they're our own'. Communication is excellent, with comprehensive updates both on app and face-to-face (it's lovely to go inside and see my son busy exploring). I feel like the staff know my son really well, despite him having only attended since September. He is really thriving and has learned so many new skills in the short time that he's been there. The facilities are clean, activities are fun and engaging, and ultimately, my son is really happy. I can't rate St Bernards highly enough!

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.789)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.789) out of 10 for St Bernards Day Nursery Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 16 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for St Bernards Day Nursery Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (192 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 192 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.789 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Bernards Day Nursery Ltd is based on 16 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 90 number of registered child places is 18. 16 Positive Reviews ÷ 18 = 0.889
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
