Both our boys have attended The Cottage and they both loved it there. They have learned so much during their time there as the activities include so much from numbers to colours, words, songs etc. We were always really impressed with the variety of different activities. Both our boys always skip in excited to see everyone with barley a look back at us. We know they built special bonds there and we appreciate how much they were cared for there.

We've had a wonderful experience with The cottage.

The activities are well thought out - creative play, outdoor time, storytelling, and early learning skills are all balanced beautifully throughout the day. Our child looks forward to going every morning and comes home happy and full of stories about their day. We're so grateful for the warmth and professionalism of the entire team. Thank you for giving our child such a positive and joyful start to their learning journey!

My family rate the Cottage so highly. The range of activities and opportunities offered to the children is extensive, and the enthusiasm of the staff is exceptional. They genuinely care for my child, and I receive thorough updates each day. The nursery work with the parents to manage any challenging behaviour or changes at home such as new siblings arriving. It is so comforting knowing that my child spends his time at The Cottage feeling safe and happy. His eyes light up when he tells me about his day.

The staff at the nursery are fantastic. They have been brilliant in helping my daughter familiarise herself to the surroundings at the nursery. They provide daily updates on her food, sleep and overall actions and behaviours.

My son is soon to leave the cottage for school after starting at the age of one. I chose this Nursey at the time due his cows milk allergy and after viewing several nurseries was very comfortable that they had the relevant visual controls in place so if the regular staff weren't on they would clearly see his allergy. Since then he loves going to nursery, over the years they have made special efforts to accommodate individuals children's requests and continue to make week different from the next. Slowly increasing in concentration as they move through the groups to get them school ready. We have all had such a lovely experience his sister is starting in October too.

Absolutely amazing nursery! The staff are very attentive and obviously care about the kids and the setting. The provisions are brilliant, with exciting activities that change with the seasons or celebrate holidays and celebrations. My daughter loves coming to nursery and I always find her with a big smile on her face at the end of the day.

We are really happy with the cottage day nursery in terms of its location and its facilities. Its not an easy task to keep kids entertained throughout the day everyday, but the nursery makes sure they have a proper timetabled day where the kids can have good fun day with their peers and learn new things everyday.
I see regular updates for my kids on the app and weekly photos or videos with their development is shared.

The only drawback has been the gradual increase in fees. However, the nursery has provided a strong and positive foundation for our children.

My daughter who is 9 years old now went to Cottage day nursery and she just loved it. So when we had our second child there was no second thoughts of choosing the nursery. He started in 2023 and is still going there.

He had real difficulty in settling in as he started at 18 months of age. But I never had any difficulty in dealing with that terrible time. The staff is amazing and they never ever complained as he was a clingy child initially. They supported us through out the time.

Moreover we wanted few changes in his days at nursery and they have accommodated us very well.

He is developing fantastically and love his nursery and staff!!

We are very happy and will recommend it to our friends and acquaintances.

Kudos team!!!

I had a great experience with the Cottage Day Nursery. My daughter attended in 2024 both branches - Bradford Street and Mickleaver. They provide a really good varied, the standards are quite high. She was happy there.

But in my opinion Mickleaver is will better. I would say excellent! The management team is really good. They have an effective communication with parents and they are more flexible.

Wonderful experience at The Cottage Day Nursery! Our son attended The Cottage Day Nursery from September 2023 to August 2024, and we couldn't be happier with the progress he made. Shiv had delayed speech, but the staff provided excellent support, and we saw significant improvement in his language skills over the year. The staff are warm, attentive, and truly care about each child's development. The nursery is well-managed, with fantastic facilities that keep the children engaged and learning through play. The meals provided are healthy and varied, which was a great plus for us. Overall, the nursery offers excellent value for money. The positive impact on our son's development has been invaluable, and we're so grateful for the care and attention he received. Thank you, Cottage Day Nursery, for making our son's year so special!

My daughter has attended The Cottage since she was 10 months old. The care, kindness and overall experience has been excellent. They literally go above and beyond and we have built a lovely relationship with all the staff. My daughter is always happy to go to nursery and she has the best time when she is there. I cannot thank The Cottage enough for their reassurance throughout as it's not easy leaving your daughter in someone else care but you have made it completely stress-free. We are going to miss all the staff and I am sad my daughter is leaving. The food selection is amazing and my daughter has tried a wide variety of different and nutritious foods while she has been at the nursery. My daughter always participates in the most fun and educational activities while she is there. Thank you again to all the wonderful staff.

My daughter had been going to the cottage since she was in babies, then toddlers and now in preschool, she has loved the whole experience and making new friends along the way it also helped being in the same building, she’s looking forward to school but will be sad to leave after all this time. They have always made it special when it’s been Mother’s Day/Father’s Day and Christmas when she has brought things home she had made, and we loved watching the Christmas concert last year, and looking forward to her graduation in July.

We are lucky to have The Cottage on Uttoxeter Road to look after both our daughter and son. We cannot ask for better childcare that leaves our minds at peace when we are at work. We are well informed of the progress of our children and the admin and in-house activities in the nursery. All the staff are so friendly and caring. Thank you all.

Our first son started at The Cottage Day Nursery in 2019 and he was followed by his brother 3 years later. We couldn't have wished for a better nursery to look after our sons. From babies through to pre-school, the whole staff are amazingly dedicated to what they do. They create a culture of fun, learning and growth which are sons have thrived in.
