First Steps Nursery (New Mills)

My child has been going here for over 3 years and is soon to be going to school. I've always felt he's being well looked after, having fun, learning, and safe. The older kids performed a Xmas play last year and we were all really proud to see how hard they'd worked. The start and finish times can be built around your schedule, and they've always been there if I've needed to book an extra day. The kids are well fed with lots of varied and nice freshly cooked meals. We've been very happy here.

Excellent nursery. Every member of staff knows my child very well. Her allergies, her favourite things. Her sense of humour - everything. My little one comes home with a new word, skill, song, etc every week. She thrives there and most importantly I trust the staff as much as close family members.

My son has been going to this nursery for 7 months and he's absolutely enjoying it. The staff are very friendly and careful. I am very thankful.

My eldest went to First Steps Nursery and after moving house, we put my youngest in a different nursery. After a few months, we realised First Steps was worth the extra travel so now my youngest goes there too!

My child shined at this nursery and always talked highly of the staff at home, they worked with me brilliantly and I felt like I could go to them about any worry I had regarding him. He loved it and will greatly miss it.

This is a fantastic nursery. My son has had a lovely few years here and has grown in confidence like I never expected. The owner and all the staff are fantastic, so caring towards the children, I cannot recommend enough.

First Steps Nursery (New Mills) is a fabulous nursery. All of the staff are enthusiastic and happy and make it obvious that they care about their work, the children and upholding First Steps values. They have created a warm, happy, safe and fun learning environment. I have always felt that both of my children have benefitted massively from the positive relationships they have built whilst at First Steps, which has helped them to become confident, independent, kind, thoughtful and emotionally secure. Which is exactly why I have always felt good about leaving my children with them - they are in great hands.

First Steps is a fantastic nursery. My son has absolutely benefitted from going here. The staff are supportive and caring and encourage the children to express themselves through play. They encourage creativity and are well attuned to children's individual development in a way that allows for the teaching of appropriate skills as well as having fun.

The most important thing to me is that my daughter is happy and she loves attending the nursery. Friendly staff, who have my child's wellbeing at heart. Love the swimming and forest school facilities. I feel at ease leaving my child here.
