Highly recommend Footsteps, the staff are absolutely superb, extremely friendly and accommodating. Very high standard of childcare.
Footsteps has been fantastic for all my children. From the minute I left them from babies they were settled and loved it. Each room has been fantastic, the facilities and the staff are great. It's given my children so many fantastic memories and we will always appreciate all the hard work they do.
Staff are friendly and professional. My son has settled in well. Good variety of activities each day. Good variety of healthy food. Lovely outdoor space and great sensory room.
Generally I am happy with the nursery, I would like to have a more detailed report at the end of the day and I feel that the meals I am paying for are not worth the money particularly when they are not eaten. The Quorn meal was most annoying, but soup is unacceptable also. I appreciate it can be difficult to clean every child’s face but they should be encouraged to wash before and after meals. Discipline is questionable. Parking is ridiculous. Daily activities seem to be fun and educational. My child enjoys forest school, cooking club and French. She particularly enjoys the visits to the care home. Majority of staff are excellent.
My daughter loves going to nursery at Footsteps, and I know she will miss it so much when she leaves for school in September. Every day that she has attended, since she was 8 months old, she has had the most amazing time and the staff have been wonderful throughout our journey so far.
My daughter is always happy at nursery and always tells me what she has been up to from going to forest school, playing in the play dough and making pictures of our family.
We currently have two children at the nursery, a baby and a 3.5 yr old, the latter has been attending for three years.
The care of both children is excellent. They are both equally happy to go to and be at nursery.
The facilities are great. It is a forest school nursery and they do activities outside in all weathers. They have a play area, a garden, a great mud kitchen and a covered area for the babies.
The children have access to large, interactive touch screen equipment and there is a lovely sensory room too.
The older children get to play football, learn French and do cooking club.
All the staff are friendly, engaged and well qualified. Children have a dedicated key worker but our children have also really bonded well with many of the other staff in both their own rooms and throughout. It’s a lovely atmosphere.
The menu is varied, healthy and cooked on premises.
It's the little touches that really make this nursery exceptional..the photo montage the staff put together of our baby enjoying her first settling in session. The phone calls when she was admitted to hospital very poorly, to check on her. The special utensils/stationary they didn't have to, but chose to buy, so as much as possible, she can do what all other babies do. We were really nervous about putting our child in to nursery but can relax knowing she's in the best possible care.

Meet the Team (2)
Hello, my name is Naomi, I am the Nursery Manager here at Stratford, I joined Footsteps as a Deputy Manager from the opening of the Stratford Nursery in January 2007 and after completing my degree as an Early Years Teacher in 2009, I became the nurseries Manager.
I am passionate about the education we offer to our children and developing a curriculum that enables every child to achieve.
Our nursery builds an environment of open communication for all our children and families. The resources we provide, give the children the opportunity to be independent and confident, Our fantastic team ensure that every child has the best possible start and is ready for the next step in their life.
Hello, my name is Tracey, I joined Footsteps in March 2007 and have been part of the management team since 2013. I have recently taken on the role of Deputy Manager.
I completed my level 3 qualification in 2008 and then went on to complete my Forest School level 3 in 2015.
I am passionate about the importance of outdoor play, and it’s great that here at Footsteps children get to experience this in all weathers. I love spending time in our Forest School exploring the natural environment and encouraging children to solve problems. I also support all age groups with Makaton, giving children a way to express themselves and communicate with others independently.
