Winterfold House Kindergarten provides exceptional care for children aged between 2 and 4 years old. The highly trained and experienced staff ensure that children are cared for in a nurturing and stimulating environment. The Kindergarten is located in the heart of the school's Pre-Prep department and forms an integral part of the Early Years offering.

Children benefit from dedicated learning spaces and have access to everything that Winterfold House Prep School has to offer. Facilities for the school's youngest pupils are second to none. A full enrichment programme is woven into daily life with children taking part in weekly cooking, gardening, music, PE and Forest School sessions.

  • At Winterfold Pre-School, we offer the universal 15 free childcare hours for all 3 & 4 year olds; 30 free hours for eligible 3 & 4 year olds and 15 free hours for eligible 2 year olds. All 3 & 4 year olds can access 15 free hours of childcare starting on 1st January, 1st April and 1st September following their 3rd birthday and ending the term that they turn 5. The School accepts childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare payments.

A wonderful school, so nurturing, and full of so much opportunity for the children. Staff are amazing and so caring. Both my children love it at Winterfold, it always has such a warm welcoming feel. Facilities are outstanding, and the new Penryn Hall and Peacock lodge are a wonderful new addition to
the school, the Children thrive here.

Our son's time at kindergarten has been wonderful. He was very shy but the teachers really helped him come out of his shell. All the staff are amazing, always courteous and helpful. They maintain a very nurturing environment. They make great effort on special days (Father's/Mother's days, etc). The
outdoor facilities are really good. I have recommended Winterfold to my friends and family'

Both my sons started Winterfold House, Kindergarten in September 2024. I cannot express my gratitude towards the school and wonderful staff. My children are learning and developing from the different experiences provided by the school. The outdoor activities including the introduction of Peacock lodge
is something that makes this a unique environment. Looking forward to watching them continue to grow and develop confidence.

This is a fabulous place, my little one literally runs in. They do so much with the little ones, gymnastics, forest school, music makers, gardening club and they have a lovely big playground that is ideal for them. They're always doing arts and crafts, and spend a lot of time outside. It's hard to
believe but in between all these fabulous activities my little one has also learned phonics and can read three letter words. I can't recommend this place enough!

We are incredibly grateful for everything Winterfold Kindergarten has done for our daughter. The staff truly go above and beyond to ensure she is not only looked after but also supported in every aspect of her development.


Our daughter particularly loves the new outdoor learning facility. Which

provides a unique opportunity for children to connect with nature while developing important life skills. We are thrilled with the hands-on, adventurous learning it offers for our daughter.


From the moment we walk through the doors, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and friendly-creating an environment where our daughter feels safe, happy, and excited to learn. We couldn't be more pleased with her experience at Winterfold Kindergarten.

Overall the school is great. My child is very clingy but the teachers there are amazing with him so he doesn't feel so anxious when I leave him anymore, I thought this process would take more time. The staff are also really friendly with parents too, they are engaging & always happy to take the time
to inform you of how the day went, it is very reassuring. This is what makes the school a great place, alongside how early the learning journey starts. My son learns so much & when we get updates through the portal, you can understand that a lot of work is being put into the children to develop their minds & curiosity.

All staff have always been genuinely interested in our child both in school and out of school. Our horses mean a lot to us, so asking about them made him settle in much quicker and gave something to talk about.
He's always wanted to go in to nursery and KG and the teachers are so nurturing. We love
bromsgrove Winterfold and would recommend.

My daughter is thriving at preschool at Winterfold. The teachers are thoughtful and kind. They do lots of stimulating activities like forest school, music makers and PE. Each week they learn something new like the lifecycle of a frog. She has is very happy.

Brilliant nursery! We're so pleased with the team who care for our daughter daily and who are nurturing and developing her in all areas.
It really feels like the teachers tailor their skills to each individual child and help them where they really need it. We're beyond pleased with our choice of Winterfold
nursery and only wished we lived near it when our son was younger. The new Peacock Lodge facility is also brilliant and our daughters favourite day!

Both my children love going to Winterfold and they have been there since Nursury, in the morning they run in without even looking back.


They love learning and getting creative with the wonderful activities the teachers provide. All the staff have been wonderful and supportive in every way, we are

The staff are amazing and our daughter loves her time there. They have so many activities that she's never ever bored. She especially loves Peacock Lodge days! She goes in every day with a smile on her face and comes home with the same. It's a great start to her schooling!

It is a wonderful nursery with amazing staff and incredible opportunities and facilities for the children. The children spend 2 of their 5 days doing outdoor learning/forest school in a fabulous new set up at the school and the relationships and trust they have in the nurturing staff at the nursery

Kindergarten is an asset to Winterfold. My boys joined at 9 months old & have flourished in their early years. The experiences they have, with the new addition of Peacock Lodge, give them adventure + curiosity to the world around them. Staff are kind, nurturing + approachable, whom I trust implicitly
