Painters Cottage Day Nursery

Lovely small friendly nursery. Made me and my little boy feel very welcome from the start and helped settle him in very quickly. He really enjoys going to nursery now. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and I love the fact that my little boy gets 2 good meals a day which are freshly prepared. His confidence has come in so much since he has started there.

3 children have been at Painters Cottage Day Nursery and it's a lovely place to have your children grow up. Friendly environment and does everything to build your kids development. Staff are great and always help when they can.

All of my 3 children have been to Painters Cottage and we have been very pleased with it - really feel that they are safe and cared for. Good activities in each of the rooms. Good home cooked food.

Fantastic team, very personal and great facilities. After a short spell settling in (our son is 10-month-old) loves going and we look forward to hearing about his day each night (obviously through the Painters team - he hasn't quite worked out talking just yet!)

My daughter has attended this nursery from 9 months - 2years and has received a good standard of care in her time there. She is happy to go and her social development has improved a great deal over her time there. Home/nursery links are good and as a parent, I really feel like staff respond to my wishes and concerns promptly.

The staff are so kind and friendly and the boys are so fond of them. The staff are always so knowledgeable about the boys and their learning journeys show how well they know the idiosyncrasies of the boys. Each day the kids have a wide variety of stories, circle time, craft, outside play, toys etc. The meals are amazing and my (fussy) boys always eat everything at nursery. The outside space is lovely and the outdoor kitchen is very popular. They really encourage links between home and nursery and always have time to chat.

Every move up into different groups has been handled really nicely with no pressure and feedback given along the way. Couldn't be happier with this nursery for him.

The team have been amazing with both of our children. The key workers have built a real bond with the child and parents, we know our children are cared for each day. My wife and I were impressed with the induction days and the flexibility offered when both children started. They needed time to settle and it provided us with great comfort the nursery focused on our child's needs. I would openly recommend our friends and family to send their children to Painters Cottage Day Nursery.

Our daughter loves going to Painters Cottage, so much so, that when I pick her up she will prolong the leaving process. The team are lovely and always give a great handover of what's been happening throughout the day - don't know where they get their energy from!!

Painters have been very welcoming to my little girl who started attending in August 2016. They have listened to our wishes on how we would like her to be looked after at nursery concerning behaviour and eating and we feel confident that this is all being reinforced whilst she is at the nursery. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and my little girl talks about the staff who are in her room fondly. Whether it is drop off or pick up times the staff always have time to talk to me and will give me a full run down of how her day has been and fully discuss any issues with me. This is lovely as it shows me they look after my daughter well and know her very well in the short time she has been attending. The lovely nursery that I would recommend to anyone.

We are now, and have always been, extremely happy with our daughter's care. The nursery has helped her to develop wonderfully and has given her a terrific knowledge and confidence. The staff are all enthusiastic and caring, the catering staff are wonderful and the management is always very approachable. We could not be happier, and neither could our daughter!

Extremely friendly staff. Both of my children have always enjoyed going. Fresh homemade food cooked on site. Regularly playing in the garden. A special recommendation for pre-school, my eldest son was definitely ready for primary school after being at Painters cottage. I can't comment highly enough about the facilities and mainly the staff.

I am happy my children are here, the staff are genuinely very caring and loving which is very important to me. They love playing on the slide outside and the activities seems very varied and well thought out

The staff and key workers that care for my son always are very pleased and engaged to see him and he is always so happy to see them. The activities and games he plays are both educational and fun and certainly appear to be developing him positively. Please keep doing what is being done as he enjoys himself and is excited to be there- this is the true testament.
