Set in a beautiful Georgian building in the quiet haven of Britannia Square in Worcester, the nursery is well-equipped, has beautiful grounds and a walled garden for outdoor play and Forest School. The varied learning programme includes high-quality teaching in music, dance and French.

My daughter loves going to nursery at Springfield. I love that the small classes have mixed age groups which has brought additional experiences learning from the older children and caring for the younger ones as they move up from tadpoles to frogs.
The outdoor space is exceptional with lots of outdoor
play and forest schools.
The teachers care deeply for the children and parents and give them the best possible start before starting school from self-care, friendships, Maths, English and confidence building. Thanks.

This is a fabulous nursery with kind and caring staff and beautiful grounds for the children to play in. My son loves forest school. I love the way nursery teachers keep us up to date with everything by an App.

RGS Springfield is a welcoming, homely community. It is set in the most beautiful grounds and every child is treated as an individual. My 2.5yr old started off incredibly nervous and unsure of going to school but 2 months later, he runs out of the car and does not look back. His key workers and the
nursery staff have been exceptional, spending time to get to know him and showing him the care and support that I would show him and that he needs. Since starting at RGS Springfield he has come on leaps and bounds, although it is a caring nursery environment, the educational side is clear, it's very different from other nurseries in that respect. The secure outside space is brilliant and the specialist lessons are brilliant. My highlight so far has been the nativity which was outside in Forest School and in candlelight. Pure magic.

Springfield Nursery is an incredible place. The staff are kind, caring and attentive to our daughter. Our daughter always comes home talking about all the fun things that she does. Staff are always on hand at drop-off and collection and are always willing to listen to any concerns or to celebrate any
successes at home. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since she started last year, and it’s always a delight to speak to the staff. I couldn’t be happier with the care and standard of education provided.

Both of our children attend the school. The care and consideration for the individual child is outstanding, the headteacher is always available to speak to and both children are very happy and content at the school.

This is a very good nursery. They have been very understanding with our needs and concerns. They have always been willing to accommodate any requests that we have had. They have always been very helpful and attentive. They are very caring and are always asking how our child is doing. The software that
they use to keep you informed about your child’s progress is always up to date.

The kids had been looked after by the nursery staff, and the kids have been very happy and enjoying their time in the nursery. Do not take long for the staff to understand the kids as well as the family and act accordingly.

This is a lovely nursery - amazing staff and a nurturing and caring environment. Lots of different structured activities and great outdoor space for forest school and sports. Communication is excellent as is the freshly prepared food cooked on the premises every day.

An excellent provision that is stimulating but caring. The staff are professional, very welcoming and my daughter loves attending. There isn’t anything more you could want for your child than to attend such an excellent nursery with lovely staff. They go above and beyond and it has such a special family
feel. There is a wide curriculum on offer with specialist teaching in music and forest school, alongside cooked lunches and amazing outdoor play. My daughter has progressed massively in the two terms she has so far attended. Thank you to the staff.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.779)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.779) out of 10 for RGS Springfield Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.979 for RGS Springfield Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (94 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.979
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for RGS Springfield Nursery is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 25 number of registered child places is 5, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
