The Cornerhouse Nursery

We have two children at the nursery. The owner and his team are attentive and caring and as a result, our children are happy to go. The nursery is safe and secure and due to its size, there is a real feel that the children are well looked after. The parents' app is fantastic and the staff keep it updated regularly with welfare information and photos/information of what fun activities our children have done, during the day. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Cornerhouse Nursery.

A bright and great nursery. The staff are affable, infrastructure is good and teachers are experienced. My kid simply loves this place. Going to nursery brightens up my kids day, whether it is eating lunch, snacks, playing in the garden, being indoors or learning. Thank you to all the staff at The Cornerhouse Nursery.

My little one has attended The Cornerhouse Nursery for three years, she has developed and grown in this happy environment. What I really appreciate is the sheer care and attention the children get from the staff who are always happy and smiley people. My own child has had food allergies which have been managed really well by the team and at all times they ensure she is not left out. Do not be deceived by what may seem a small space, its a tardis out the back and the way the staff cleverly plan the activities so the children move throughout the building is a nice touch. Each day the children get to play outdoors on things like a climbing frame, balance bar or trikes, or maybe plant seeds and build houses with big bricks then back indoors for more structured activities based on planned themes. The app is a nice way to see what your child is getting up to during the day, such as their meals as well as how they are developing and growing according the the curriculum.

My little girl has attended the nursery since she was 9-months-old. She loves nursery, and every morning she can’t wait to go in! All of the staff members are very welcoming, warm and caring towards the children and parents. They keep us up to date while they are with them via the app and upload lovely pictures and keep us up to date with their development. By far the best nursery I could recommend!

This nursery has done wonders for our two children who attend and one to join next year. The staff are kind and welcoming, from management all the way down the chain, I would like to give a special thank you to all the team for all the hard work they do; they go above and beyond, very understanding people, easy to talk to, very helpful, and most importantly, are there for our children in helping their development and needs, constantly assessing our children and keeping us updated. I'm so happy with The Cornerhouse - they are a home away from home for our son! The premises is a converted Victorian house that includes a conservatory that is bright and cheerful on sunny days. Their staff are uniformly lovely - they focus on supporting development, but in a positive, nurturing way that is evident in how happy our son is going in each day. He is so comfortable and clearly bonded with his key worker and others that when I drop him off, he often walks in as if he owns the place - which sets my mind at rest knowing he's so happy there! Communication with parents is excellent, and in our case, they have been really proactive in engaging with us on how to help our son reach developmental milestones. They have also been great at managing his food allergies, meaning I know he is safe, but still getting a well-balanced diet. I've already recommended Corner House to two families who live on my street and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it again.

We love The Cornerhouse! Our daughter settled in nicely from day one, and since she started there, she’s learned so much. Her speech especially has developed a lot. And she really has bonded with her carers and her little friends. Highly recommend!

We are extremely happy with The Cornerhouse Nursery. Our little boy has been attending the nursery for the past two years and his brother will be joining in the next couple of months. The staff are fantastic, they know all of the children and take a genuine interest in their development and well being. We can see that our son is so happy to attend the nursery and therefore we had no doubts about sending our second child to join him. We have and continue to be amazed at the things that our son has learned at the nursery. This is without a doubt, is thanks to so much time and effort that the staff put in to the huge variety of activities they do each day. The food is varied and healthy, they spend so much time outdoors and we have a fantastic app that updates us throughout the day with all of their activities, meals and nap times.

They offer healthy food, and our child simply just enjoy going to The Corner House Nursery.

My daughter started at The Cornerhouse Nursery last year and this nursery truly is amazing, it is a home away from home. Regardless of what room they work in every member of staff knows my daughter and welcomes her with a big smile. They are nurturing, kind and knowledgeable in child development. During her settling in period, the staff supported not only her but me with the process of introducing her to childcare for the first time. Communication with management has also always been excellent. The nursery has the perfect balance of free play and structured learning activities both inside and outside and my daughter has come on leaps and bounds with her learning and speech. When choosing a nursery it was really important to me that my daughter was given healthy, well balanced meals and the food at the nursery is amazing, she eats much better than me! The meals including snacks are healthy, home cooked, and well varied. I would highly recommend The Cornerhouse Nursery.

We highly recommend The Cornerhouse Nursery. Our little boy has been there since he was one years old and he absolutely loves it. He is a shy little boy and struggles with new places and new people, so we were anxious about how he would adapt to nursery. The staff at The Cornerhouse Nursery were really patient and understanding with him and really took the time to get to know him. They were flexible and open minded to how we wanted to manage his settling in sessions, which I really appreciated. His confidence has grown over the time he has been there and it's really lovely to see the positive relationships he has developed. His social and cognitive development has improved significantly and the staff are brilliant at helping to promote his independence. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.
