The nursery itself is a gorgeous building, with amazing grounds and the staff are incredible.
My granddaughters have thrived at Alex House, and absolutely adore the staff.
Keeping in touch with what our granddaughters have been up to is easy due to regular updates available on the app. It seems that the facilities and learning is planned well with lots of equipment available for the children - and some really messy stuff too!
The children have regular opportunities to go out and about - from going shopping for snack/cookery and visits to the local care home for the elderly.
I'll be sad when my last granddaughter leaves this year for school.
The nursery has given them both a sound grounding for their transition to EYFS. Thank you
Thank you so much Delia, it has been a pleasure. thank you for a beautiful review x
The staff are super friendly and are always going above and beyond to make sure the children have a great day, this includes management too.
The children get to experience trips to the shops, local community services like the library as well as enjoy watching the bin truck when it comes.
Every holiday season or event the nursery make sure children and parents can enjoy the occasion with cards and presents that get sent home, these are always made by the children and staff, they even dress up themselves on occasions to enjoy the event.
Your hard work never goes unnoticed, and you deserve the top reviews. Such a great nursery and gives our littles the best starts and opportunities. Thank you so much x
Thank you so much Jenna! It's so amazing to hear from extended family members it really means a lot xx
Sent my daughter in January, having anxiety leaving her as she's now 2 and half and been with me since birth, we never been apart. But I can't thank Alex house enough all the key workers and mangers are just so adapting and helpful, always get updates which makes the world of difference. I also received a little bag with tissues, tea, sweets and a note and just think it's so thoughtful that they think of how parents feel to. My daughter has loved being here and making memories and learning so much through play. Can't recommend this nursery enough.
Thank you so much for your feedback and choosing Alex house xxx
I cannot fault this nursery for all they do with the children. They are always playing outside, going on little trips, and the staff are absolutely amazing. My son LOVES his nursery teachers and always comes home saying what an amazing day he's had. I do find I don't get a lot home of things he's done (drawings, painting, pictures etc) whereas some of my friends who's children go to other nurseries get things home all the time. I also find the nursery have an awful lot of sickness and a lot of the children are constantly picking things up and are poorly which I know is inevitable at nursery but it seems quite excessive. I also was told on numerous occasions I'd receive a pack for when they move to the pre school room which never materialised. My child loves this nursery and has a lovely time but I feel communication and cleanliness needs to be improved slightly.
Thank you so much for your review, unfortunately the sickness recently have been really difficult and out of our control as we keep on top of our health and safety procedures to the best of or ability and we have updated our unwell child policy so all parents adhere to the policy to keep sickness...
Staff show genuine care and love towards the children in the nursery and there always seems to be such enthusiasm and effort put into the experiences they provide. The activities and resources look fun, educational and exciting for the children. My children have always been excited to attend nursery and are really happy there. The support I was given whilst settling them into the nursery was beyond what I'd expect and cannot praise the staff enough.
Thank you for choosing Alex House and for your lovely review.
Can't fault the staff either nothing is too much even when it comes to my little menaces
Thank you Alexandra house, highly recommend x
Thank you for choosing Alex House and for your lovely review.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough. We moved our daughter here after a bad experience at her previous nursery. Our daughter goes into nursery happy and calls it her "happy nursery". They have helped her rebuild her trust and confidence in a nursery setting. She goes on adventures to the shops, the library and gets involved in cooking activities, crafts and even lessons in handling their giant pet snail. We feel very lucky to have found this nursery. Thank you to the staff of Alexandra House for all you do.
Thank you for choosing Alex House. Thank you for your lovely review.
My child has been attending this setting for over a year now and she is thriving the staff are absolutely amazing and my little girl went from not wanting to go to a nursery to walking in without a care in the world they are so welcoming and supportive and caring I would recommend them to anyone they do trips to the shops the library and care home a project to promote teeth brushing which I think is brilliant they have a great outdoor space which I think is great for children as they love being outdoors no matter the weather
Thank you for choosing Alex House and for your lovely review
Alexandra house has been amazing for both of my children (one now being in full time school and the other just started in January)
My youngest who currently attends has separation anxiety and the nursery has helped, and managed very well, now my boy looks forward to going to see his 'friends'
They put so much time and care into the children, and i wouldn't want my children at a different nursery.
The staff and management are very welcoming and supportive.
Thank you so much we appreciate your feed back and are so grateful you chose Alex House X

Amazing nursery and staff! My little boy absolutely loves coming to nursery and is learning so much here, the staff are amazing with him and have really helped him grow in confidence. The nursery keep us well informed with everything too!
Thank you so much for your review and also choosing Alex House xxxxx
The staff are so kind and nurturing whilst also providing lots of fun and educational experiences for the children.
The children are often taken on trips to explore nearby such as regular trips to the library, fostering a love of reading and an early foundation in phonics knowledge.
We couldn't be happier, knowing our children are in such good hands.
Thank you so much for your review and also choosing Alex House xxxxx
My little boy absolutely loves Alex House. It didn't take him long to settle in, and he went from a very clingy little boy who wouldn't go anywhere without mummy to a confident, and very happy little boy. His development has been absolutely incredible to watch and this is all down to Alex House.
Thank you so much for your review we appreciate you choosing Alex House xxx
My little boy absolutely loves going to Alexandra house, the staff are amazing and go above and beyond for the children, my son has additional needs and they have been amazing with him I could not wish for a better nursery for him he has come on so much since attending Alexandra house and I'm forever grateful for all the hard work they do.

Absolutely love Alex House! The staff are so friendly and lovely! My little boy always has the best day, and is always doing something different. The staff post regular photos and updates on the app which is always so lovely to see. The extra curricular activities is one of the highlights about this nursery, seeing the children out and about is so lovely, my little one's favourite visiting the old peoples home.
I will always recommend Alex House, it's fantastic and like a home away from home for the children.
Thank you so much we appreciate your feed back and are so grateful you chose Alex House X
My son has attended Alexandra House since 2023, and moved from the younger room - Ladybirds to the preschool - Bumblebees and I wouldn't send him anywhere else! It is an incredible nursery, with caring, considerate staff, who are always happy to help! Not only that, but the nursery's location is beautiful! It's in a quiet road with a huge, flat garden and patio for the children! Children regularly go on local trips, daily, to their local shops, supermarkets, the local Care Home and library! They are constantly baking treats with the children, celebrating all cultures and cooking foods from different countries! The nursery have great communication with parents, through a really useful app, where parents can also communicate with the nursery staff and share photos etc! The nursery even have parents evening, to update parents on their child's development! I couldn't recommend this nursery enough - I'll be sad when my son leaves for school and I know he will be too!

We couldn't be happier with this nursery - it has been absolutely fantastic for our two girls. From the very beginning, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. It's clear how much they truly love what they do, and that shows in the way they look after the children every single day.
Both of our girls have grown so much in confidence since starting here. The activities are always creative, engaging, and tailored to their interests, helping them learn while having so much fun. We love seeing the updates and hearing about what they've been up to - it's so reassuring to know they're happy and thriving.
The environment is safe, nurturing, and full of positivity. The team go above and beyond, Nothing ever feels like too much trouble.
Choosing the right nursery is such an important decision, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found this one. We would wholeheartedly recommend it to any family

My little boy started in January and the staff within this nursery have been great with him, he didn't want to settle so well at the beginning but they have managed to work him out of his shell ti become more independent and love to see his progress and independence. The facilities and activities they have within the nursery are amazing as there is so much variety to entertain all the little minds. Would definitely recommend this nursery
