The staff are all really lovely, and clearly seem happy to work there, and the nursery itself has a nice calm feel with lots of outdoor space. The menu is varied and a lot healthier than what our eldest is now given at school. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My satisfactory rating on value for money is not a reflection of the nursery itself. I think the nursery is great, just that childcare is a lot to afford, and that is not the fault of the nursery but the government.

I've sent both my sons to hdc Dartington. Lovely facilities, fantastic hard working and caring staff. Supportive environment, and lots of outdoor play. They love to really cultivate your child's interests.

We moved to Devon from London, and our son was immediately made welcome and part of the hdc family. We always look forward to hearing (and reading on the app platform) about his day and all the great activities they get up to. Lovely to have so much time and emphasis on outdoor activities.

Hdc is a fantastic nursery. There is plenty of outdoor space, the staff are brilliant and always getting the children involved in a range of activities. Our son loves it here and has developed really well and made great friends. I would highly recommend to any parent.

Our daughter has attended the nursery since she was around year old and followed their groups from babies to preschool. All the staff are really lovely and in courage her to be herself and explore. Our daughter has become attached to her key person in every room who have helped her come on miles both verbally and with her confidence. They alway have lots of activities and a great outdoor space for the children to run around/learn in.

My two and a half year old attends this nursery, he loves it and I am impressed with the care and affection he is shown by the workers. The outside space is great for muddy play. He does lots of fun well planned and age appropriate activities each day. It is a lovely environment and he is thriving there.

Our daughter loves going to nursery here, she often runs in beaming and her language and social skills have really blossomed since being in the toddler room. We are impressed by the level of care and engagement of all the people working with her. We also love the amount of outdoor space for each room as well as well as being able to park outside to drop off / get there quickly when she was settling in. Delighted it’s becoming a living wage employer, I would recommend this nursery every time.

We have sent both our children to hdc Dartington and our youngest daughter is now in the toddler room. We have had a great experience of the nursery. Lovely food and caring staff who give really good hand overs and who we trust with our children. I would be really happy to recommend them.

Couldn’t have chosen a better nursery that my daughter is always excited to return to.

We were nervous about sending our 18-month old to nursery, but when we first visited hdc and saw the staff cuddling the babies to sleep we were so impressed. Our daughter loves going to nursery - and even through the Covid disruptions hdc has been reliable, compassionate and communicative. hdc has played a huge and positive part of our lives and we have been so grateful to the staff for their kindness, professionalism and exceptional care of all the children (and thus their families).

Sensible nursery, especially during Covid pandemic. Staff genuinely seem to enjoy my daughter's company. Menu varied, healthy and appropriate, with good amount of vegetarian even for 'non vegetarians'. Good outdoor space for toddlers.

My son has taken a little while to adjust and settle into nursery, however the girls have worked tirelessly to make him feel happy and supported. He always comes home happy and full of beans, they can even get him to eat food that he refuses at home! Love the set up and all the outside space, great communication between nursery and parents. Would highly recommend.

Our daughter really enjoys her days in the baby room. We value the bond she has made with her carers and the fact they continue to engage with her elder sister who also attended HDC Dartington. We feel our daughter really developed key skills during her time at HDC and most importantly is happy and safe. Thank you, everyone.

We're really happy we have this nursery just around the corner from us. The staff are really friendly and supportive. They were especially patient and supportive with us through our daughter's settling in period. We were able to take our time with the settling process which meant a lot to us. The outdoor space is great and the food is amazing. Really recommend this nursery.

hdc Dartington is a wonderful nursery setting and my son is incredibly happy there. The staff are friendly and fully engaged with my son’s welfare and development, right up to management level. My son has attended since he was eleven months and his transition from the baby room to the toddler room was managed really positively. My son always comes home excited to tell me about what he has been up to. The range of activities is brilliant and the outdoor space is a real bonus. Lovely range of food provided and it always amazes me the things my son will eat there that he won’t eat at home!

I love hdc Dartington childcare, my son has been going there since he was sixteen months so has been in the baby, toddler and preschool room and I can’t fault anything. Due to the pandemic, he was off nursery from November to March. I was really worried about his return but both him and the staff have been amazing. They let me stagger him back in and every day he comes home and tells me how much he loves nursery. Thank you to everyone there.
