Butterfly Day Nursery

My son absolutely loved his time at Butterfly in the baby room. I would definitely recommend this nursery as all the staff are so caring and really take the time to get to know your child and their individual likes and dislikes. It's not regimented like some nurseries and gives off a true home away from home vibe. I really miss taking my son here and wish them as a nursery all the best for the future.

I have appreciated how your day care is concerned with improving. My kids love everything from the activities to your work group. Personally, I think your simplicity captivates any father. Continue with this hard work that your reputation will take the heart of Cambridge.

All the members of staff know all the children by their first name (including the owner of the nursery). They are very friendly, loving and caring. From day 1 I have always been very happy to leave my child in their care in the peace of mind that he is being well looked after.

I would highly recommend the nursery, it's a great place for children to learn and form great friendships.

Butterfly is a very friendly, caring nursery. My daughter took a while to settle in, but the staff all worked hard to make her feel comfortable and now she quite happily walks in without a backwards glance! I have been impressed by how all the staff know her name (even those who work in different rooms). The children carry out a variety of fun activities and her keyworker and other staff in her room really know her well - making sure she's doing activities that she will enjoy. She is clearly learning a lot and seems to eat and sleep well at the nursery. We also get good feedback of her day, which is appreciated. We are really pleased we chose Butterfly.

Our daughter recently started at Butterfly Day Nursery and I have been immensely impressed by how quickly the staff have taken to our daughter. They are quick to pick up on her personal quirks and personality traits. They are very engaging always trying new things with her and it is great to see her grow. I have also been impressed with how much effort the staff put into making our daughter feel at ease in a new environment and also with us as parents being at ease leaving her behind.

Overall, it's a wonderful nursery who takes very good care of kids and I can say the kids are in good hands.

Our children always love and loved going to nursery. The staff are extremely caring and lovely, they provide great support for the children's development and support the parents e.g. with potty training, speech development of their child etc. The management has very much improved compared to when we started 3.5 years ago. We are always recommending this nursery.

Our son started at the nursery about four months ago and he's really enjoyed it since day one. The staff are supportive and caring, run a wide range of activities for the children, and keep us well informed both in person and by the written daily reports and online learning site. Meals are cooked on-site, are varied and our son enjoys them which is the most important thing.

All the staff are very friendly and will always help or answer questions no matter which room they are in, this is very reassuring.

The baby unit is great, the staff is very friendly and caring. The exchange of information is good and on a daily basis.

The pre-school unit is excellent, the staff there is great and they all really care for the children. The activities are diverse and include yoga and dancing class.

Our daughter has been at Butterfly Day Nursery for 3 months and despite being unsettled initially, she is now having a lovely time thanks to the staff. We get regular updates from her key person and online with some great photos of her playing. She has become much more adventurous and sociable since going to nursery. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The children have access to outdoor space and they do use it regularly - weather permitting! We are very happy leaving our daughter at Butterfly Day Nursery.

A good online feedback system between nursery and parents is in place and regularly updated.

My daughter had difficulty in settling when she was 7 months and we sent her back when she turned 20 months, Butterfly Day Nursery took her back with all the kindness and friendliness I could expect and helped her settle with ease within a week. The caregivers are very responsible and take care of the children with such great care that we are very grateful. We get daily reports, we could view progress on line, and we could reach out to the manager very easily. We would recommend this day nursery without hesitation.

Our child attends this nursery for 2.5 years. The team and staff are excellent - they are extremely supportive and caring and they give guidance and comfort to parents as well. My child loves being part of the environment, which is positive and nourishing. We can see how much the child is developing different skills. There is a good communication, concerns are addressed appropriately, and parents are informed about daily activities in person and via an online platform. The playground is small but they do make the most of it; they also take the kids to the nearby park and excursions. They offer yoga to all, and language and dancing classes. Food is cooked on the premises - our little one is eating it all up. There is new management as of this year, and we see improvements in terms of clarifying policies and communication - it is too early to give an overall rating. The owner could be more present and available to discuss policies with parents, including those affecting fees and attendance.
