Ripley Court School Nursery

We are blown away not only by how gorgeous the school and facilities are but from the amazing, kind and supportive staff, the Head is so positive and always present and all the children we've met are a delight.

The culture & ethos of the school fits everything we are looking for our daughter who started in the nursery and is now moving into transition.

Our son started Ripley in January 2026, just before his third birthday in February. Before he started, his vocabulary was quite limited, and he knew very few numbers. Amazingly, on his very first day home from nursery, he counted to 12 at the dinner table and was able to tell us all about his day. It was such a special moment and showed us just how much he had already gained from his time there.

Since joining Ripley, we've watched him grow into such a bright, kind, and curious little boy. The nurturing environment and encouragement from the wonderful staff have helped his confidence, communication, and love of learning flourish.

Every member of the team has made us feel supported and reassured, and it's clear how much they genuinely care about each child. Knowing that our son is happy, safe, and excited to go to nursery each day means the world to us.

We can't thank the Ripley team enough for everything they've done- and this is just the beginning of his journey!

Our son has loved every second at Ripley Court School Nursery and he can't wait to go in each morning. The one-to-one attention given is outstanding and the level of care and dedication of the teachers is remarkable.

Ripley Court is a fantastic nursery - you only need to step on site to immediately feel how happy all the children are and it isn't hard to see why. The grounds are idyllic, the atmosphere nurturing and the children have access to myriad specialist activities from such an early age (the highlight being weekly swimming lessons in the indoor pool). The staff are outstanding; not only are they loving and caring towards every single child, but it is clear that they spend a great deal of thought on planning each part of every day and their communication with parents is excellent. I have experience with a number of different pre-preps and nurseries in the area and this is by far the best.

The flexible wraparound care offering is also very helpful and useful for working parents.

My child is always happy to enter the setting and just as happy at the end of the day. He is continuing to grow and develop both academically personally and socially with the help support, guidance and a caring attitude of his setting.

Ripley Court School Nursery is an exceptional environment for a young toddler to thrive and develop. In just a short time, we have seen a remarkable transformation in our son's growth and confidence. The one-to-one care he receives is outstanding, complemented by engaging in educational activities that nurture his curiosity and skills. Each day is filled with enriching experiences, and the forest school, in particular, is a standout feature. Having moved from a traditional nursery with limited space, we truly appreciate the vast opportunities Ripley offers-expansive grounds, an indoor swimming pool, and a team of dedicated, passionate educators. It's a fantastic setting where children can explore, learn, and flourish.

Overall, Ripley Court provides a warm and stimulating learning environment, and we've been really happy with our experience so far. Most importantly, our daughter loves going to school, which speaks volumes about the care and quality of education provided. Highly recommend.

Very warm and welcoming nursery/school, all staff are very pleasant with exceptional teaching standards, children are taught a number of different subjects including a language from when they start in nursery. My daughter thoroughly enjoys attending Ripley Court Nursery and her teachers are very friendly and polite and excellent at caring for the children, going above and beyond and they are very attentive. I can speak to the teachers to discuss my daughter's progress on a very regular basis and I am kept up to date on a very regular basis with the activities undertaken by my daughter. The school has a great sense of community and I feel honoured to be a part of Ripley Court, couldn't have asked for a better place. Thank you Ripley Court School Nursery - you are amazing.

We moved our daughter to Ripley Court Nursery in the autumn. We felt she would benefit from the wide activities available in the nursery as she was previously in a more unstructured setting. Almost, overnight, we saw a change in her behaviour and happiness. She loves all aspects of her nursery day, from forest school to swimming and dancing. She is a naturally confident child and Ripley Court has given her a chance to shine. She frequently plays schools at home, imitating the fun that she has at pre-school. We are so glad that we made the move and would thoroughly recommend this amazing place. It is a special, nurturing, happy place and I am very grateful to all of the teachers and support staff who care for my daughter every day.

Both of our children have been to Ripley Court nursery, one is still there. Our boys adore their fun-filled days of learning, playing, swimming, forest school and cooking. The teachers are superb, going above and beyond to do the best for the children and engage with parents. They are genuinely caring and supportive of each individual child. Our boys previously went to an unstructured nursery, which didn’t see our boys thrive as they do at Ripley. We’d 100% recommend it to anyone. Thank you to all the staff.

We have been absolutely thrilled by how quickly our daughter has settled into Ripley Court Nursery. We were initially nervous, given how much she loved her previous nursery but we could not be happier. The nursery is a very special environment, generating a genuine love of learning through a wide range of fun and engaging activities. The staff and other parents have all been incredibly welcoming. Our daughter is thriving and happily skips into school each day.

My daughter absolutely loves Ripley Court. We moved her from her previous nursery which she was also fond of but not as much as Ripley Court. She’s made excellent friends and loves the teachers so much. She even asks me on her days off and weekends if she can go in! I would definitely recommend the nursery and all the extra activities they do with the children, I think it’s so good that they get to try so many things at their age.

Little Court Nursery has a lovely feel about it and extremely good teaching. Set in beautiful grounds it prides itself on its pastoral care and creates an environment where the child feels held. The only thing that would improve its provision would be if it was available to children under three, as having sampled two of the other nurseries in the area before moving to Ripley Court School Nursery at three, its level of care and learning is far superior in every sense. The change in our son was marked in the transition and now he loves every day at Ripley Court School Nursery.

Ripley Court School Nursery has a lovely location and broadly an inclusive atmosphere, typical of a smaller public school off the ‘hothouse’ track. They have undergone a lot of change recently with changes in senior leadership and a merger. I get the sense a new philosophy or style, if any is yet to emerge. The smaller class sizes and grounds, facilities and activities are great. Parents and kids almost universally seem very nice. My impression is that is that at least for nursery and transition is that this suits children who welcome a very high degree of structure, process and boundaries. I feel it less well suited to parents and young children who focus on instilling a love of learning through fun, unstructured activities and a degree of fluidity. They have clear ideas on how things should be done which, if aligned, is wonderful. If however you welcome a more flexible child centred approach, this may not necessarily be the right nursery for you and your child.

We have been blown away by how amazing the nursery is since joining in September 2020. Our son has thrived in the warm and nurturing environment. We are over the moon with the progress, both social and developmentally that he has made in such a short space of time. The range of activities that are offered both in and out of the classroom, forest school being one, provide an exciting day every day. He looks forward to going in every morning.

Such a wonderfully nurturing setting for the children to live their best lives. The staff have endless energy and provide a really stimulating environment for the children. The forest school is such a treat for the children each week!

During what has been a really difficult period, the staff have been absolutely amazing. Our four year old has loved going to the nursery and has really grown in confidence, helped along by such caring and compassionate teachers.

Ripley Court School Nursery is an amazing environment for your children. I have never seen one with so much outside space and so many different activities on offer. The staff from the headmistress, to the teachers and auxiliary staff, are friendly, helpful and easy to deal with as a parent as well as loved by my son. I am grateful to have found this nursery as a starting point for my son's education as I know that he will always think positively about school for having started here. If he moves up through Ripley Court School Nursery, I am sure that he will become a well rounded human being.
