Busy Bees Guildford

I must admit I was worried when the recent Ofsted inspection showed that the nursery needs improvement and it took my child a while to settle but I can clearly see efforts and changes to improve the experience as a whole. The nursery has deservedly been given a good rating by Ofsted following a re-inspection within a short period of time. My child is now more comfortable there and now I can see huge improvement in her learning, social skills, mood, interaction and reading. I would recommend the nursery.

Staff are very friendly and care for the children, getting to know them well.

Out two children have been part of the Busy Bees nursery for nine months covering all four rooms throughout this time. The staff are fantastic, and it feels like leaving my kids with family. They challenge their needs and also give one to one time when required. Communication is great with us, and the greatest testimony is the children not wanting to leave at the end of the day. Understaffed and unmotivated. There are a few very good staff members but they have to use a lot of agency staff and there was no continuity of care last year. Staff always seemed burnt out and dissatisfied.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was six month old and she's now coming up to three years old. I only have excellent things to say about this nursery. They have been amazing with my daughter and are always helpful and accommodating where possible. My daughter loves it there, receives the best care and excellent nutrition. They're pro-active response during Covid-19 has been very reassuring.

My son started the nursery just before his 1st birthday and he is 3 years old now. The staff are very lovely and my son loves going to nursery every single day. He settled in quite quickly thanks to the amazing staff. He is learning a lot. The management are very supportive no matter your circumstances as a parent. Would recommend 100% to anyone.

I would highly recommend the nursery. Staff are excellent and engage with my son very nicely. I believe it’s the best place to start life. My son loves to go to nursery, he looks forward to going to meet his friends and enjoys the whole environment, every single day. He has a fantastic day. He is very vocal, has gained so much confidence in his vocabulary. Lovely to see my little baby grow. Very caring staff. My son likes to spend most of his time at nursery. I would strongly recommend the day nursery. Best start in life. The satisfaction that we get as a parent after sending my son to the nursery is immense. I thank all the staff for their hard work and enthusiasm. Well done!

My son loves coming to nursery, he has a big smile when we arrive and a big smile when I pick him up. He loves the people and his key worker. The confidence I feel in dropping him off only got better by knowing how amazing the people are. Don't be put off by the building not being the flashiest, the people are what makes this nursery.

They are truly amazing people. Very professional as well. I feel completely confident leaving my daughter in their care.

The kids enjoy it and they get to do a lot of things they wouldn't do otherwise, e.g. watching the ducklings hatch. I am very grateful that the staff have continued to work during the pandemic, to enable me to continue working at the hospital. However, the finances have been very confusing and I've had to spend extra time trying to figure it all out (I'm so relieved the administrator is back now and I can get some answers).

The staff at the nursery have been amazing during these uncertain times and so flexible re: increasing days; pay as you go payments (which I think works really well- especially being a key worker and having to juggle shifts etc) The staff have provided a seamless and professional service whilst adhering to guidelines - the screening service before children enter has been efficient and reassuring. The ladies continue to be positive, friendly and upbeat and it’s been a pleasure and a saviour to allow me and my husband to continue to work - we are so grateful to you all. You’re all amazing.

The staff are extremely friendly and caring. They have taken care of my little one since he was six months old. The nursery has always taken care of the schedule. They have set meals, however, they also take into consideration the dietary requirements of our son. There are no complaints from our side when it comes to the care given to our son. The only thing that is different from other nurseries is we don't get any pictures or an app to see what activities they have done with our little one. Also, our son seems to be playing in sand way too much, however, that's not a complaint, it is just an observation. I would like them to give us a plan of the scheduled activities they do with our toddler to ensure the development of his motor, cognitive, language and other skills. Since he has been at home during the lockdown, he has picked up more from us being at home which is obviously a very good thing. We would like him to continue to grow in the nursery when things go back to the new normal. Thank you so much for everything.

During this very difficult time, all the staff have never hesitated or looked in the slightest stressed. They were always welcoming and provided the best care. I have been so amazed at their dedication to our children that I think they deserve an award! It was a time where we were unsure of how this disease will spread, however, they never showed any doubt and continued to care for my children in the most amazing away. I honestly cannot thank them enough and I hope they will get the recognition they deserve. Thank you.

Guildford nursery has always been so supportive and reliable through this really testing time (and through any times!). The staff are always there to happily greet us and I always feel like my daughter is in a caring and happy nursery with staff and children that she enjoys spending time with. When my daughter leaves in August it will be the end of four years of fantastic childcare that has been provided to my family and we will really miss them. They are fantastic in a crisis and I have depended on them hugely for childcare and they have never failed to help and always provide me with the confidence that my children would be happy in the nursery environment. A huge part of my children’s life that has been a very happy one with the help of the nursery. A fantastic group of staff who are massively appreciated by my family. It really is the staff that make this a great nursery. Busy Bees should invest more in the facilities provided to the children as well as staff pay.

The staff are absolutely fantastic and are a credit to Busy Bees. My daughter loves going to nursery and I always feel how well cared she is and I know she is safe at all times. I highly recommend the Guildford branch opposite the hospital.

The team have been fantastic during the past few months. Everyone has been constantly cheerful, helpful and flexible. Most importantly our daughter has loved attending and gets so much out of her days at the nursery. My wife and I can’t thank everyone enough for giving our family some normality during a very difficult time.

My son loves coming to this nursery. He is so well cared for, is learning so much and is making great friends. During the recent pandemic, they were quick to react with new procedures that have protected us and our son.

I would recommend this nursery without hesitation and the fact you can utilise hours between 7am and 7pm is a huge bonus.

Lovely nursery, lovely friendly staff, son has progressed a lot since starting this nursery, a bit overpriced though.
