The best nursery. I could not ask for more! It is always hard to leave your children with anyone but the Busy Bees staff at Ragstone House make me and my children feel comfortable and safe. The staff are more like family.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. My son has complex medical and learning needs and is predominantly tube-fed. After viewing other nurseries, Busy Bees Ragstone House Nursery was the first one we visited that we felt took our son's needs seriously. They accessed tube feeding training and did a very thorough
settling-in process. My son has absolutely thrived in the eighteen months he has spent in the preschool room which is down to the dedication and hard work of his key worker, the management team and all other staff that have looked after him. The nursery has such a friendly, 'home from home' feel and the children all seem happy and engaged in their activities. I would highly recommend this nursery for anyone looking for a caring, safe and fun place for their child.

My son has been at Busy Bees Ragstone House, Maidstone Day Nursery since 2020 (7 months old). Overall, the nursery is good. My son was always happy to go to nursery. Lots of learning which was evident in what he could do when he was at home.
Communication between staff could be better. Overall, I would
recommend this nursery.

This nursery is amazing. My daughter has been going here for 2.5 years now. She absolutely loves it. She has thrived since she started here. She enjoys all the meals that are made for her. She has made lots of friendships on her way. It's a shame she's leaving to go to school. She will miss everyone
so much. Thank you to everyone that has worked with her. She has loved being in your care.

Busy Bees is a home-from-home! Our daughter loves her time at Ragstone House and races up "Bee Hill" every morning. The staff are amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble. They welcome everyone with warmth, smiles and love. Handovers are smooth and easy and communication is brilliant.

We cannot fault the staff and facilities, they’re fantastic! We would definitely recommend this nursery to family and friends, we also hope to send our daughter

Our eldest son attended this nursery and they have set him up so well for Primary School, he seemed to be learning through fun at nursery and has now entered school at the higher level of the class.

It was an obvious choice for our youngest to also attend. This nursery is not our closest but we

are so happy with the nursery we wouldn't want him anywhere else!

The staff are incredible and both the boy's key workers have built a good relationship with the boys and myself so I know each day exactly how they are getting on and developing. The whole team and management are very professional, friendly and warm.

When we are at work, there isn't anyone else we would rather have look after our children giving us peace of mind knowing they are enjoying their day and being well looked after to such a high standard.

Thank you Ragstone House, we would recommend you to anyone!

My son has been at Busy Bees at Ragstone House since he was three months old.
For my son, Busy Bees is a home away from home. He is looked after so well. Every single member of staff clearly has the well being of each child at the very top of their list of priorities. I have always been pleasantly
comfortable with the atmosphere in his room.
The manager and his key worker are personable, knowledgeable, attentive and caring and these traits are present in all staff as well. The regular observations we receive via parent zone, and in person, are detailed, informative and very useful in helping us maintain his progress at home.
My son is my first and only child and I cannot believe how lucky I have been in getting such a complex and vital decision as choosing a nursery, absolutely right first time.
The staff at Busy Bees at Ragstone House will consistently bend over backwards to look after your little one and make them feel safe and happy. I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery.

My little girl has been going to Ragstone House since she was 9 months old now 18 months and she absolutely loves it! She has such Fun doing the activities and loves the staff members. All the staff members are so kind and caring to the children. The nursery has been so helpful and flexible when I changed
jobs.
I couldn't be happier with the care taken and information passed over each day.
The best marker is how happy my daughter is each morning at drop off.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees from 7 months old, she is now 4yrs. I couldn't ask for a better setting for her to attend. The long-standing staff have allowed my daughter to develop and become a strong-minded independent person. The care is second to none and we see the setting as part of
our extended family. we are always greeted with a smile, and my daughter is bursting with excitement at the end of the day and can't wait to tell me what she has been doing. She is always talking about staff and her friend. Knowing how happy she is there allows me to get on with my working day without worry. This September she will be going off to school even though this is an extremely exciting prospect, we shall with no doubt miss everyone at Ragstone House.

My Daughter thoroughly enjoys coming to nursery, even after two years of coming in she still get excited when she knows she is coming.
She is enjoying the getting ready for school process in the Dinos, this also puts our mind at ease for the big move to school.

Fantastic care provided with a variety of activities, and always relevant to events in the year when they come up. A good focus on learning too. Fantastic food provided. A personal service where the staff knows all the children well. A good report provided at the end of each day. Our daughter has made
some great friends.

Ragstone House has aided my son's transition to early years care since he started when he was 8 months old. Having never left him before I was notably apprehensive but he settled in so well and made strong bonds with the staff in baby room which really put me at ease as a working mum. He is now in the
toddler room and has a very special connection with a number of the staff, particularly his keyworker and he leaves me with ease at the beginning of each session. The environment is always stimulating to him and his interests are always carried forward into daily activities. He will be leaving soon when I leave work to go on maternity leave and I have no doubt that he will miss everyone very much. Thank you Ragstone House for helping to make my little boy into the sociable, happy and confident character that he is now.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Both my children have attended since they were 6 months old (my son is now 7, my daughter 4). My daughter loves going to nursery. Every day she is excited to tell me what she has been doing. The work and dedication of the staff are wonderful, my daughter has developed
a very special bond with her key worker. Her number and phonics knowledge is very impressive as is her writing - I have no doubts about her readiness for school in September 2017. In fact, like my son was, I believe she will be ahead of her peers. This nursery and team has become an extension of our family and an integral part of the early year's development of my children.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.079)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.079) out of 10 for Busy Bees Ragstone House, Maidstone is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.529 for Busy Bees Ragstone House, Maidstone is calculated as follows: ( (21 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 34 Ratings = 4.529
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.55 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Ragstone House, Maidstone is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.3
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
