Kindred Wheathampstead Nursery and Pre-school

Since my daughter has been at the nursery her development has really improved. She seems really happy with her keyworker and adults in the room, they have helped her to build confidence and core skills. We loved the picture updates at the start, it would be great to have more now she is a little bit older.

We wish we knew about this nursery earlier!

Kindred Wheathampstead is Excellent. My child attends the setting 1 day a week but she loves it and her development has come along so much. The staff at Kindred Wheathampstead are Kind, Caring and Knowledgeable.

My son has just started nursery and they have been great at accommodating and supporting his schedule. At the end of the day, they will also take the time to update me on his day and what he has enjoyed. I'm really grateful for how supportive and smooth they have made the transition from him being home to starting nursery.

We love Kindred nursery, my daughter is thriving there. They work hard to provide a range of activities and take a caring interest in my daughter as an individual. Communication is great, really responsive and when someone says they will follow up, they do.

Excellent nursery - all 3 of my children had been super happy and enjoyed their years at this nursery. We moved our eldest here after leaving our London nursery and the difference was huge. The staff are amazing and really seem to love their jobs. The outdoor space is incredible. The children are always put first and management so friendly and flexible. Very lucky to have this nursery so close.

Wonderful, friendly, caring nursery. Our son is very happy in the baby room and learns a lot - dancing, new words, how to dress himself. He goes in happily and comes home happy. The outdoor space is exceptionally large and varied. Very impressed.

Our 10-month-old started at Kindred Nursery at the beginning of the month and so far we have had such a positive experience. The staff have eased our minds with providing regular updates about his naps, eating, and any activities he gets up to throughout the day using the app as well as giving us reassurance at pick-up time that he is settling in well and is getting used to his key workers. Really happy with our experience with Kindred Nursery so far!

I have complete faith in the staff and trust them completely in looking after my children. They have helped raise them to be happy and confident little humans. They take great care in making sure they have lovely food, and so many great activities, and love to play outside in their amazing outdoor areas. I would recommend it to anyone.

Our daughter enjoys her time at the nursery. She loves the outdoor space and the activities. She has been eating well. The staff have been lovely to help her with settling in. She has become more independent and has picked up new skills in a short span of time.

My son started in April 2024 when he was 11 months old. He settled in within a few weeks as he only does 2 days a week. I love how every time I drop my son off I get greeted with a smile and hello by everyone, all of the staff are really friendly. There are lots of activities they do with the children, ones you wouldn't do yourself at home. I really recommend this nursery because it feels like a home, it's relaxed, warm and not too plastic/overstimulating like some other nurseries I have visited. It would benefit from being a little more tidy/organised and maybe more variety with snacks/meals. But I keep seeing improvements so they are all working hard to make it amazing! Thank you everyone!

Our daughter has been attending the nursery since she turned one. She absolutely loves going and has had excellent care from all the staff that have looked after her. The nursery has a variety of different outdoor spaces which suit all weather and abilities. The environment is calm with no mass of broken plastic toys. The effort put into activities exceeds any nursery we have put our children in. There are music and dancing sessions and the nursery have even organised special animal days where petting zoos come into nursery. The staff also create beautiful dioramas and activity tables for the children to engage in and fire their imaginations. I would strongly recommend the nursery to any parent.

Staff are helpful and friendly and the app is great for keeping us up to date on what they've been up to. It's also wonderful for having themed & organised days, such as sports days and animal visits. I think I look forward to what she's doing next as much as our daughter does!

We feel so fortunate to have found Kindred and would recommend it to any parent looking for a caring, stimulating, and safe environment for their child. It's truly a special place!

There is no better feeling than knowing your child is supported in their development, is safe, cared for, and is happy in the environment. I recommend this nursery to many parents as I simply cannot fault it.

My grandson who is now 3 started nursery as a 1-year-old and absolutely loves being at Kindred. The team are amazing and so friendly, caring and enthusiastic. When I occasionally collect him at the end of the day they are so welcoming and update me on everything he has done during the day. They have been so supportive of him and meeting his individual needs. The outdoor space and activities are great and suit him perfectly - he would be outdoors all day if he could! Cannot recommend Kindred highly enough, the team at Wheathampstead are second to none!

My son has been attending Kindred Wheathampstead for nearly a year. He started in the baby room and is now in the toddler room. The staff have been very supportive of his development. They have also supported his speech and language, we are now attending early talk courses to help him progress. I have regular updates from the key worker and SENCO in regard to this. My son also enjoys taking part in Superstar sports on a Thursday. I love that he has access to all of their outdoor areas.

My daughter has recently transitioned to the nursery and we could not be happier with Kindred. The staff have gone out of their way to help her (and us!) to settle, providing lots of helpful updates and advice. Our daughter has readjusted to the new setting and an older room much quicker than we were expecting, which I believe is largely due to the warm, kind and professional approach of the management team and carers. My daughter excitedly gets ready each morning, knows the names of many of her carers and peers, and is singing new songs each day. The outdoor spaces at Kindred are phenomenal. The children are often outside in one of the 4-5 outdoor areas engaging in outdoor or messy play. We also love the hosted activities such as Tiny Mites and ball games instructors. We are able to keep an eye over our daughter's day via the app. The fees are very reasonable given the high quality of care and inclusions (food, nappies, activities, spare clothes). Thank you Kindred!

The staff are always there to answer any questions and do so in such a positive and personal way, I really can't thank them or the team enough.

Love, love, love! The team at Kindred Wheathampstead are amazing. They're very friendly and everyone greets you with enthusiasm. My little girl started when she was 1 year old. She hated being dropped off at first but after just a few weeks she soon started throwing herself at the staff with a beaming smile as she's so excited to be there! She's developed so much with them in such a short time, it's lovely to see. She's becoming more and more confident (and sassier if that was even possible haha!). We're kept updated with some of the activities they do and can see how much fun she's having. She doesn't always want to come home! I don't have any anxiety about leaving her whilst I'm at work as I know she's in safe hands there. The management are also very hands-on which is refreshing and they're more than happy to help where they can. Really can't fault them.
