Longwood Nursery

Longwood has also long opening hours and wrap-around care all year round which is a huge plus for us. The school is like our family and we highly recommend it.

We are very pleased with the overall care and progress our daughter has made at longwood. The staff at longwood nursery are incredibly warm and nurturing. It is well run and very organised. Communication is excellent.

Our son recently joined in September 2022 and he settled in wonderfully. In the short time, he has attended the nursery, we have seen a huge difference in his development. He thoroughly enjoys going to nursery and this must be attributed to the all staff and the various activities they have. Can't recommend this nursery enough!

So would highly recommend it. We visited nine other nurseries within the local area and this offered everything we were looking for from the staff who you can see have wonderful connections with the kids and are also very friendly even when you are picking the kids up in the evenings. The on-site food there is a good selection. All the activities and toys they have to keep the kids busy, and the outside space for the kids to enjoy is really something else they even have a greenhouse for the kids to look after plants and veg. There really is so much space and the gardens are split between different classes, on-site parking so you don't have the morning stress or pickups. The opening hours of 7am - 7pm.

Both of my children started at Longwood School & Nursery at 10 months old, and have been through all of the stages at the nursery. Both have had an absolutely wonderful experience, and I can't remember a day when either was sad arriving or leaving. Despite there being five years age difference between my kids, many of the staff who cared for my son remain at Longwood now my daughter is there. The kids are so well cared for and the facilities are great quality. They do a massive range of activities including now in preschool the opportunity to learn french! The hours are great for working parents and there's a range of flexible fee structures. It is a wonderful place and I'll be very sad when it's time for my daughter to move on! Highly recommend.

Both our sons attend Longwood, our eldest started in October 2020 and ever since then we have been so impressed with the care and dedication the staff have to the children. The boys love it, the setting is really bright and colourful and more than anything we are comfortable sending the boys there. I've recommended Longwood to friends of mine for their children too.

I could not be any happier with Longwood Nursery. My son has attended since he was six months old (he is now two and a half). The staff are friendly and fantastic with the children and keep parents updated. My son is always talking about what he has been up to, and he is super confident which I believe is down to his time at nursery and he always goes in and comes out happy. I can't recommend it highly enough.

My daughter attends this nursery currently and she absolutely loves it. The nursery are great at providing updates and I get regular photos of her doing activities. I've noticed that my daughter is able to do far more academically than my son could who attended a different nursery.

The transparency on price is also another plus and it offers great value for money.

We're very grateful for everything the team has done for our children and highly recommend them.

Our youngest child started attending the nursery and we have opted to stay on at the school as we have been extremely happy in every respect. The staff work hard to create a warm and nurturing learning environment for the children. We also have a second child who attended the nursery and then the school until moving up to secondary school. Longwood provided excellent academic and personal development - an excellent platform in general - for continuing education. Both children have blossomed from the highly individual child-centred approach and the staff are friendly and helpful. Having been close to the school/nursery for close to 15 years we really couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

My son and daughter both attended Longwood nursery and are now in Longwood school and pre-school. I am so glad that we discovered Longwood. It's a small private setting with a family feel and it's done wonders for my children. The nursery staff were wonderful for both the children, particularly my very shy son (who is no longer as shy as he was, thanks to Longwood). The amazing staff and small class sizes have nurtured the children from nursery through to school. They love going in and are thriving. Both are extremely happy and constantly surprising us with all that they learn. The staff go out of their way to make children and parents feel welcome, safe and involved. They settled in very quickly and as a working parent, I have complete peace of mind and am continually amazed at the strong bond the children have with each other and with their teachers/carers. I'd highly recommend the nursery and school.

The daily activities for kids are phenomenal including academic coursework and feedback to parents via the app.

My daughter and I love Longwood, she started at 3 months old and now in reception, we couldn't be happier, all the staff are professional friendly and polite. It's a very nurturing place to be. The staff were so reassuring as I was anxious to leave her so young. I'm so impressed with the progress my child has made and look forward to seeing her skills improve. Would highly recommend it.

Longwood School & Nursery is a great establishment from nursery to school. Both my children have been attending from 10 months. The nursery staff to school staff are all great and always helpful. The staff are always happy to help and approachable to discuss any concerns you wish to discuss. The teachers are very supportive with any needs the children require and also happy to support the parents along the way. The school is set up with great facilities for the children with great outdoor space. The school also offers great wrap-around care and my children absolutely love it. The school is definitely like a ‘family’ and I would highly recommend it.

Both my kids have attended Longwood Nursery. It is a fantastic setting that is nurturing and caring. They offer great facilities and keep you updated every day with how your child is getting on. My children loved going there. Both my children now go to the main school and are continuing to enjoy the Longwood experience!

Our little one has been at this nursery since 11 months old. I looked at 3 other nurseries around the area and found that Longwood had the perfect balance of open and green areas, indoor spaces for playing/eating/sleeping, and learning facilities that suited all age groups. All nursery and school staff are so warm and welcoming and provide really wonderful nurturing care. My little one has truly blossomed under their very capable and caring hands. The school is like a huge family, everyone knows everyone! During the pandemic, despite the challenges, the school staff gave exceptional education and near-to-normal experience to the children, for which I am eternally grateful. The headmistress is always looking for ways to make the nursery/school life as exciting as possible for the children, bringing in the much-needed element of fun in learning. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like their child to learn in a nurturing, warm and exciting setting!

Our son currently attends the pre-school at Longwood whilst our daughter has joined the nursery. The staff are welcoming yet professional. Both of our children have settled in very well. The setting has the perfect mix of education and outdoor activities whilst the children learn and play through a structured day. We are so happy our children attend Longwood. Wish we had found Longwood before!

I moved to Longwood School & Nursery in August 2018. I was desperate for a place for my son. The school was very kind and helpful to have us. School is amazing and really involved with the kids and family. As a new school and area, my son has had some difficulties with school trying to help me as a parent and my son to adapt with the matter. Definitely great and caring team. They work hard to bring in families at all levels in harmony and tonality with the system. They listen carefully to us and give us a solution. Would highly recommend.
