Sunshine Pre-School and Day Nursery

Sunshine is a lovely little nursery where all the staff are always so friendly and warm. My boy had a really lovely relationship with all the staff members and we’ll be so sad to leave. I always got good updates on the app and from the staff and my son was always happy on pickup. I’d absolutely recommend this nursery for the staff, but also if you'd like a smaller, more intimate setting.

Sunshine Nursery isn't just a nursery, its a home from home where your children learn, grow and develop, setting strong foundations for life. Both of my girls have been to the nursery and absolutely loved it. The manager is the 'bricks and mortar' of the nursery, ensuring every child's needs are met whether big or small. She is supportive in every way possible and runs a wonderful team of people who have the same values. The wonderful cook provides healthy and nutritional meals for the children which encouraged both of my girls to try new things and gave them a love for all food. After 7 years I am extremely sad to say goodbye. Thank you for helping me raise my girls so beautifully, I will be forever grateful.

We are sadly finishing our Sunshine journey this month after 6 years and two boys as my youngest starts school. We will be very sad to leave and will miss the staff!

Sunshine Pre-School and Day Nursery is a lovely and happy place for children to be. Staff are always friendly, smiling and ready to look after a child. My daughter is always clean every time I pick her up. I'm pleased with their delicate work over there.

My son has been going to Sunshine Nursery for two weeks now, and he is absolutely loving it. All staff are amazing and really suit all the children’s needs. I know he is well looked after when attending nursery, and he absolutely loves going!

Sadly saying goodbye to the Sunshine team after eight years and two children. They have been professional, personal and extremely attentive to my children's needs. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, Sunshine team, for the love and care you have provided to my children.

My daughter spent two years with the nursery, and it was fun for her with no concerns. The staff team of the nursery were lovely, patient and accommodating, and my daughter enjoyed her stay in the nursery, and we are happy to recommend this nursery to you.

I cannot speak highly enough of the manager and her team of staff at ‘Sunshine’. Never was a nursery more aptly named! Our daughter has just finished there ready to start school today. When we made enquiries during our initial research of nurseries, ‘Sunshine’ really stood out as being a small and friendly nursery. Our daughter has some additional needs, and we felt that a smaller nursery would be better for her, and ‘Sunshine’ has a real cosy, family feel to it. This certainly does not come at the expense of professionalism, however. The children are well supported developmentally and emotionally. Our daughter looked forward to attending and always came home full of chatter about all the exciting and stimulating activities she had been involved with throughout the day. It is worth adding that the staff coped particularly well with the restrictions of the pandemic, and as a parent, I still felt supported, even when it was not possible to enter the building.

I honestly couldn't think of a better place (a family) to take care of and be a pivotal influence in my son's early learning experience. He has been with the Sunshine family for two years finishing now before going into his next adventure of Year R at Infant School. He has made many friends there and is always excited to go to Sunshine in the mornings to see his friends and all the staff there who embrace every child in their own individuality, showing love, friendship and guidance. I have found the specific individual feedback on learning is excellent, and the hands-on mutual team involvement in my son's Speech Therapy (Sunshine liaising directly with the necessary third party's) and also that crucial potty training was exceptionally reassuring, which resulted in swift success. I am explaining to my son he won't be going back to Sunshine after the end of next week so he can move on to his new adventure, however, we will both shed a tear for leaving our extended family.

I would recommend Sunshine Nursery to anyone.

Both of my children have attended this nursery, my youngest will be leaving to start school in September. They both loved it there and loved all of the staff there. The staff were so friendly, and the children learned so much in preparation for school; they are faultless. The activities they do with the children are wonderful; they have a fun-filled day each time they attend there. The children also love the homemade food that is made there. We will be so sad to say goodbye to Sunshine nursery. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for my children.
