Reviews

7.2 Children's Nature Nursery at Lymington has a Review Score of 7.2 (7.235)

The Review Score of 7.2 (maximum of 10) for Children's Nature Nursery at Lymington is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Children's Nature Nursery at Lymington in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 2.4 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 2 years. (A 2 year period has been used as there were no positive reviews in the last 12 months)

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.806 for Children's Nature Nursery at Lymington is calculated as follows: ( (59 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.806

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 2.429 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Children's Nature Nursery at Lymington is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4 then divided by 2 = 2.000

    2. Target of 7 positive Reviews (35 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 6 Reviews ÷ 7 Target = 0.857 , then divided by 2 = 0.429

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Reviewer Connection to Children's Nature Nursery at Lymington

Brilliant, nurturing environment for the children to learn to become independent in everyday skills and to become confident with their own decisions. The free-flow atmosphere encourages them to learn to focus without being pushed into activities. Our 3 children have thrived here and taken the experience on to shape their early years at 'big' school.

My daughter loves going to school, she seems to make friends well there and loves all the staff. She has learnt a lot, both personal and practical skills. I think an education that includes so much independence will stand her in good stead in later life.

Thank you for your kind words and support.

A lovely, friendly nursery where children are nurtured to help bring out the best of themselves. Great little farm area where they can learn about nature and growing food/looking after animals. Healthy snacks and lunch provided, sometimes using the produce they themselves have grown.
Supportive staff members who are able to pick up specific areas in which they can help your child's development e.g. speech, and then able to see the follow through from this.
Children aged 2-5 all under one roof, so able to learn skills and empathy from having different aged children to play with.
All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this nursery to parents wanting a nature style nursery.

Thank you for your lovely comments, we are pleased to hear you are happy with our current practice.

I am a huge fan of the concept of the Children's Nature Nursery and our son not only has great fun there, he learns so much about nature, caring for animals, growing vegetables, cooking what you've grown etc. as well as how to count, read, write and draw. The children are free to use their imagination and so even the smallest picture or craft item is enthusiastically encouraged. The staff are excellent and so caring with the children and seem to make each trip to the woods extra special, e.g. just thinking to take a hammock one day in the summer, resulted in great fun for all the children. Our son goes in happily and comes out tired and happy which is fantastic.

Thank you for your kind words, great to hear you're a fan of the Kids Love Nature concept.

My little girl loves going to nursery and looks forward to it every week. She has learned and developed so much whilst at the nursery and this has been great to see through pictures and comments in tapestry. The teachers are all really skilled, caring and I could not be happier for her to learn social skills and emotional development in this environment.

Thank you Riikka for your lovely review, it is very much appreciated.

My son attended nature nursery until he started school in September 2016. He loved going there and spending his days playing outside in the playground, nearby woods and especially on the farm! He always talked about the chickens and how he helped to look after them.
When we had concerns about his development, the staff at the nursery took it very seriously and arranged one to one meetings with us to address the issues. When my daughter is two, I am hoping she can start at the nursery too and benefit from the lovely surroundings the nursery offers.
