Glenhurst Nursery and Pre-school is based in a light and colourful building, which also benefits from a large covered veranda, enabling children to play and learn outside, even in wet weather.

Inside, there is a baby changing room, a sleep room and a spacious, open-plan room with under-floor heating. The layout provides the children with supervised, regular access to the playground and garden both for free play and for learning.

Glenhurst operates a 'free flow' play system which means that children move from a soft play, book and rest area to other areas to participate in cookery, arts and crafts, water, sand and messy play, and to the garden and playground for physical play and games, supervised by qualified staff.

Funding & Fees

Our nursery (Under 2s) care starts from £81 per day or £51 for a half day.
We do not charge any top up fees for funded care and provide a full 15/30 year entitlement from 9 months plus.

Glenhurst have been amazing with our twin babies. The staff are wonderful and our children have settled really quickly. They love going to nursery. Thank you to all the staff for working on the front line during these difficult times.

The staff at Glenhurst have been absolutely amazing with my son. I couldn't ask for more caring and attentive people to look after him. They have been instrumental in improving his speech and his confidence.

Welcoming and friendly! All three of my children attended across 5 years. I felt they all developed the skills they needed for school along with being well cared for and happy. Great staff, facilities and food. Some days the boys didn't want to come home. I will always be grateful to Glenhurst Nursery
& Pre-School for the help and start my children needed in the nursery/preschool world.

During his time here he has grown from a very shy anxious little boy into a much more confident and capable boy.

Glenhurst was a place that our now 4 years old felt like home. He has spent many hours during the day but every time he came home smiling, excited that he had fun. He has made many friends there and considering he was only there for a year, all the teachers made him feel as if he's been there for more.
Very friendly and approachable staff. Always with a smile on their faces.

My son has been coming to Glenhurst for around 18 months now. Having been at another pre-school for a similar amount of time, I knew this would be a challenge for him but the staff helped him settle in so quickly. Every member of the team is friendly, helpful and always quick to get back to me on anything.
My son is very fond of everyone at Gelnhurst and will be sad to leave them when he starts school.
Couldn't recommend Glenhurst highly enough.

Our daughter joined Glenhurst at the age of 2.5 yrs. That's the first time she stayed away from us for few hours for settling sessions. First week we struggled as she did not want to go to nursery. Week 2 was a sudden big change. All of sudden she started liking nursery. From that day to the next 18
months, Mon-Thu, 8am-5pm she loved every day. There was a not a single day where she said she did not wanted to go. She has learned a lot in terms of communication, interaction, social skills, table manners, alphabets,numbers, songs. List is not exhaustive. We are very pleased on her development. Massive thanks to the whole Glenhurst team for the great job they did. Besides our daughter, our son also attended for about 7 months before joining school and he too loved it. Our kids always had a pleasant time. No complaints. No regrets. Thank you Glenhurst!!!

I have nothing but praise for my son's preschool. In the 18 months, he's attended, they have encouraged my son to be more confident and open to playing with other children.
I've always felt I could talk through any concerns or worries with any teacher. They are excellent in praising my son when he's
worked particularly hard.
