Glenhurst Nursery and Pre-school is based in a light and colourful building, which also benefits from a large covered veranda, enabling children to play and learn outside, even in wet weather.

Inside, there is a baby changing room, a sleep room and a spacious, open-plan room with under-floor heating. The layout provides the children with supervised, regular access to the playground and garden both for free play and for learning.

Glenhurst operates a 'free flow' play system which means that children move from a soft play, book and rest area to other areas to participate in cookery, arts and crafts, water, sand and messy play, and to the garden and playground for physical play and games, supervised by qualified staff.

My daughter's been coming to Glenhurst nursery&pre school for 2 years now and absolutely loves it she's always happy on pick up with lots to say about her day and has great relationships with the staff. Her favourite is the outdoor area and the activities:)

All the staff are amazing, both my children have wonderful smiles on their faces when I collect them. The staff also support and understand our needs on a few situations where things needed to be adjusted. I couldn't be happier to have my kids attend.

Having sent our daughter and sons to the nursery we have had a good relationship with Glenhurst, the staff are always reliable and really accommodating. They work really hard to make sure the children's needs are met and are really approachable if we have any questions

I have one child at Glenhurst nursery and one child who previously attended before starting school.
I continue to be very happy with the care at the nursery. The staff greet the children warmly at the door and my children have always been happy to attend. They provide super activities - Easter card
making,
Christmas activities etc, as well as having visits from outside organisations - local library, fire service, etc.
The staff have consistently communicated my children's development and wellbeing to me by updating me, and through the app, and this can relate to how well they did at a particular activity, making friends, potty training etc!
All in all, a super nursery with excellent staff.

Our daughter has been going to Glenhurst since Sept 2024, and her experience with the team here has been wonderful. It took her a little while to settle as we had moved house around the time she started, so she was very unsettled. But they spent a lot of time settling and reassuring her and she has
flourished over the last year and a half and grown in confidence. Attending nursery been great for her socialising and communication skills and were very happy with our choice of nursery.

I honestly can't recommend Glenhurst Nursery enough.
Our eldest started there four years ago, and I still remember our first visit so clearly. After seeing a few other nurseries where we felt rushed, Glenhurst was completely different-we felt welcomed, valued, and like we truly mattered.
The staff
are absolutely amazing. They don't just care for the children, they really take the time to get to know the whole family, and it feels like they've become an extension of ours. Any time we've had a question or needed support, staff and management have been there straight away.
The biggest thing for us is how happy our children are. The smiles on their faces going in and coming home say everything. We love it so much that we didn't hesitate to send our second child there from just 6 months old, and they've been incredible with her too.
We feel very lucky to have found them

From the moment we first visited Glenhurst, the staff have been consistently welcoming, professional, and supportive. The nursery has such a warm, family-like atmosphere.
Our daughter has been attending since the end of January 2025, and she absolutely loves it-she runs in without a second glance!
That really speaks volumes about the care and dedication of the staff.
They are always approachable and happy to answer any questions we have, which is incredibly reassuring. Even when other family members collect our daughter, they often comment on how lovely the nursery is and how friendly and helpful the staff are.
We would highly recommend Glenhurst Nursery-they truly are fantastic!

I genuinely couldn't be more happy that our son is at Glenhurst Nursery! Sarah is a first class manager, leads by example, knows all of the children, their likes & dislikes & creates a great environment for the children to thrive. The rest of the team are also first class & seem to genuinely care about
the children & their progress! That might sound obvious, but from experience elsewhere I'm not sure that's true for every nursery & especially leadership wise.
Our son has been at Glenhurst for just over 2 & a half years now, he has thrived and progressed amazingly, which is down to the hard work & dedication of the team at Glenhurst. He loves being there & has made some great friends & has strong bonds with the staff, special mentions to Becky & Bethany.
We originally enrolled our son elsewhere but soon saw it wasn't right for him & were lucky to get a place at Glenhurst. Have no doubt about it Glenhurst is 5 star & we highly recommend - great people, great leadership & great setup.

We couldn't be happier with Glenhurst. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly welcoming, caring, and attentive. It's clear that they genuinely love what they do, and that really shows in the way they look after the children.


My daughter has grown so much in confidence since starting

here, and she always comes home happy, chatting about her day and the fun activities she's taken part in. My son has recently joined and Glenhurst are being very supportive of him and any extra needs that he may possibly need to help him


Communication with parents is excellent, and I always feel informed and reassured that my children are in safe hands.


We're so grateful to the whole team for the care and support they provide - would highly recommend this nursery to any parent

Very happy with everyone at Glenhurst, both of my children have been and continue to be extremely well looked after. They have both developed very well, and had so much care and attention, which I can't thank Glenhurst enough for. My son tried 2 nurseries before Glenhurst, and this was definitely the
best fit for both him and me (mum). Recently my daughter has been toilet trained, Glenhurst have helped her massively, and she's had little to no accidents whilst at nursery which is amazing. Thank you all so much, it's such a nice feeling knowing that they're in great care.

We have always been very happy with Glenhurst. My little boy started there when he was very young and has always enjoyed it.


From photos and updates, I can see the range of activities that the staff put on for the children. His counting and speech have both come on brilliantly since he started at Glenhurst.


The

only negatives I can think of are that his daily updates sometimes lack certain things (e.g nap or evening meal) which can leave us wondering if he missed these altogether or if they just weren't put on the app. And although the staff are all lovely, there has been a high turnover since my son started and I worry slightly about staff leaving with whom he had a strong bond.

I adore this nursery. My son has been attending since around a year old. In nursery, rising 3 and preschool. I have had no issues and he just runs in to the staff members happily. This makes attending work so much easier knowing my child is happy and feels safe at nursery.
He has thrived here and they
have always been so supportive ensuring he meets each milestone.
I also find the lunch and dinners brilliant as my son will eat such a varied diet thanks to glenhurst.
He loves that they do star of the day and week. He has enjoyed the trips he has gone on and the visits from the fire station and police. My son tells me about each staff member and I feel at ease knowing my son is treated with love and care at nursery. He loves that they have got to watch Chicks and ducks hatch and grow. I also like how safe they keep the children, with no adults going into the nursery.
I would recommend this nursery to anyone and we will miss all staff when he starts school in September.

I couldn't fault this nursery, they go above and beyond for the children, they answer any questions you have. Both of my children have been to this nursery and both have enjoyed every minute of going. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and you're always aware of anything going on in the school
or injuries. You're never left out of the loop. And food choices are amazing, there's always a variety each day. Honestly the best nursery for my children, ill be sad when they leave.

My daughter thrived at Glenhurst Nursery. Before starting she was so shy and reserved, but all the staff worked with her helping to build her confidence. She was always happy and excited to go in and loved telling me all about her day when we went home.
During some very difficult unsettling times
at home the staff made her feel secure and settled, she was truly supported, meaning we could happily take her in and know she was in good hands.
Glenhurst made a big impact on helping her get ready for starting school, so that the transition into school life couldn't have gone smoother.
She still talks about going to Glenhurst and how much she misses the staff.
We are looking forward to sending our 2nd child to Glenhurst soon.

I can't recommend the nursery and its staff enough at Glenhurst. Our son Theo attended when he was 3 and always came home with a smile on his face and covered in dirt, food or sprinkles from the fun filled day he had had either baking, crafts or playing in the garden. So when it came to our daughter
Luna, who is 18 months old, there was no question as to which nursery she would attend. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, Sarah the manager is always present, available and attentive and both my husband and I have always been at ease with our children attending Glenhurst, with the knowledge that they are safe, being well looked after and I genuinely believe adored by the staff. They go above and beyond to provide the children with activities and visits from dentists to the fire service and I believe they create the perfect foundations for preschoolers before they start in the education system.

Glenhurst Nursery is the most amazing place for children, and it has proven that to me twice. Both my children, who are almost four years apart in age, attended this nursery, and both of my girls were incredibly happy there.
I never had to worry about them, they were cared for with love and a strong
sense of responsibility. All of the teachers are wonderful and take a unique approach to each child, which I truly appreciated. I always felt confident that if any problems or misunderstandings arose, they would be dealt with quickly and with care.
Every day was exciting for my children, they were always learning new things about the world, traditions, animals, and nature. They were always happy to go in each morning and came out smiling at the end of the day.
My girls are at school now, but they still remember Glenhurst from time to time and say how much they miss it. I'm so glad that we chose this place and would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to all parents.

My son joined Glenhurst whilst in the 2-3 age group until he went to school. Following a bad experience in a different setting, my son started Glenhurst somewhat apprehensive of adults outside of the family, but he quickly settled and I was able to see my bubbly loving boy come out of his shell again
thanks to the staff at Glenhurst!


Glenhurst was a warm and nurturing environment for my son, who enabled him to utilise his strengths and try new things. Any concerns I raised were responded to promptly, and I felt very able to speak to the manager or room leads when I wanted to check things through. The nursery were also good at informing me of any accidents, or any concerns they had.


Glenhurst engaged my son in activities that supported his readiness for school, and they gave opportunities like caring for animals, accessing resources to take home and engage in things such as road safety and emergency services.


I'm grateful for the care and relationships my son received. Thank you!
