Childsplay Day Nursery, recently rated a Good Provider by Ofsted with Outstanding Aspects in October 2023 provides children with a secure and stimulating learning environment for children up to the age of five years, where they can flourish and reach their full potential. Children at Childsplay Day Nursery are supported in developing independence and confidence, ready for when they transition to full-time primary education.

The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which aims to give children the best start in life. Activities at the nursery follow the EYFS and children are encouraged to play and explore the world around them, whilst developing creativity and critical thinking.

My experience is quite satisfactory. I have seen drastic changes in my son after joining the nursery. He began to show his interest in stories, solving puzzles, building blocks etc.
The whole faculty and the way they handle the children out there are doing a brilliant job. They take care of each and
every mood of the child. They know how to handle the child especially when English is not their first language. And yes, the security system of the nursery is very appreciated.

Excellent experience, my child has learned a lot as we are not from England. She has learned to speak in English and understands others. Very happy with the way all nurses take care of my child.

My son attends Childsplay Day Nursery and is currently in his third year. He absolutely loves coming to nursey and has a brilliant relationship with the members of staff.
The nursery makes my life so much easier as I am a working mum, therefore, drop my son off early in the morning where he is given
breakfast, lunch and tea. The food is always brilliant here with a weekly updated homemade menu.
They also cater for my son's allergies and I feel 100% confident he is in capable hands.

My daughter attends Childsplay Day Nursery. This is our second year at the nursery and it is definitely a home from home nursery. The nursery staff are very attentive to the children. Always lots of activities to do. The outside play area is fabulous, good for the children's imagination.
My daughter
always comes home and doesn't stop chatting about her day. This is a massive reassurance for me that I have chosen a 5* nursery for my little girl.

Childsplay is an excellent nursery and I am really happy that my son has a place there. He loves going to nursery and the staff take great care of him. He has a folder to track his development and it is always full of all that he has been doing that day and the staff are very supportive and knowledgeable.
They have great outdoor facilities, a woodland area and a play area, French lessons and excursions to the park. I am especially impressed with the food, always a hot lunch with dessert and it is all homemade and fresh.
Overall I cannot fault Childsplay, my son is very happy and is thriving.

My daughter attends the nursery 3 days a week, she is 2 years old and has attended Childsplay since she was 9 months old. As a family, we really can't fault the nursery. We have seen how well our daughter is developing and her personality shining, that we often think that this is mostly from the nursery.
The staff are lovely and know her so well. We think the facilities they get are great and the weekly menu is perfect for our little one.

Everyone has been amazing. My daughter has come along leaps and bounds, speech, using the toilet, manners etc. She loves coming to nursery. She's made some lovely friends and is so confident. Most things she learns she brings home for us to learn and even shows her brother and sister.
She's becoming
an amazing, caring little lady and it's with the help of this nursery. Always greeted with a smile and love to hear how she's been and what she's done.

My son attends this nursery and has done since the start of August 2018. He is my only child so I was very nervous and anxious about where to send him. But immediately Childsplay made me feel at ease. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, my son loves it and is learning new things daily. It’s clean,
well organised and does a lot to support local groups too, such as the food bank. I go to work very confident that my son is in safe hands, happy and learning more every time. Including French.

My son has been coming to Childsplay since he was 9 months old. I honestly cannot fault the service that Childsplay provide. My son has come home with many arts and crafts he has made over the years. You can see his development folder anytime you like and it is full when you can take it home. He is
now 3 and is always buzzing about how much fun he has and doesn’t want to come home! The home cooked meals are great value for money and there is the option to bring your own food. The manager sends regular updates about the nursery and the older children have even taken trips to places like the park or the library and partake in making things like pizza. Yes, they aren’t the cheapest nursery in Colchester, however, I didn't get the same homely feeling and the friendly attitude from the staff anywhere but Childsplay. I can’t recommend them enough.

Childsplay is an amazing nursery which my 3-year-old daughter has attended since she was 9 months old. The office staff are so helpful and informative and incredibly supportive and they're childcare professional are incredible. They are so warm and caring they always give great feedback and I feel 100%
happy leaving my daughter in their care.

My son has been at Childsplay Day Nursery since February 2016. I can't praise the staff enough. They are all dedicated to the children, my son is extremely happy here and is always cheerful. He loves the food and always eats way more at the nursery than at home.
If it wasn't for the dedicated staff
I couldn't work. This nursery may not be the newest in the area but the staff make it and that is what is most important.

Great nursery. I have two children that attend twice a week. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly and the children always have smiles on their faces. The nursery's facilities are good with lots of outdoor space, including a large woodlands area. The chef always cooks home cooked, healthy meals
which my children love. I could not fault Childsplay Day Nursery and I would recommend this to anyone!
