Carousel Day Nursery & Pre-School Ltd

Beverley set up the nursery in 1992 with her mother, Vera.

She is passionate about providing a wonderful environment for the children to learn in and hiring the best quality staff to join her team. Beverley also enjoys cooking for the children in the nursery kitchen once a week.

Jacqui is Beverley's sister and joined the business in 2000 as co-director when their mother Vera retired. She has had many administrative responsibilities over the years, overseeing the business side of things for most of her career.

Katharine is a Cambridge University graduate and a qualified Early Years Teacher. Katharine is Bev's daughter and joined the business as a manager in 2020. She is passionate about educating our society's youngest children to a very high standard, in order to give them the very best start in life.

Katharine has designed the nursery curriculum and oversees the learning that is delivered by the staff team. Katharine is also the main point of contact for parents and has various administrative responsibilities.

Abbie is the room leader of the preschool, as well as the deputy manager. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of staff shifts and deployment in addition to her duties as room leader.

Sarah is a Level 3 Early Years Educator and works in the preschool room of the nursery. She loves to watch the children grow and develop and particularly enjoys reading them stories.

Ruth is our longest-serving member of staff, having worked at Carousel since 2010. She is a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator and is the Room Leader of our Rabbit room (upper toddler). She particularly enjoys helping children towards meeting the next steps in their development journey.

Georgia is a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who is an important member of the Carousel team. She is kind, caring and dedicated to the children she looks after, and is rightly very popular with them. She has a particular love for the younger age groups and enjoys singing with them to help their speech and language development.

Kerry is one of our most experienced practitioners. She is trained as to NCFE CACHE Level 4 Early Years Advanced Practitioner. Kerry is one of our senior practitioners and is our main Special Needs Co-Ordinator. She is also our Duckling Room (baby room) leader. She enjoys supporting children with additional needs and doing all sorts of sensory and messy activities.

Martha is currently completing her Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship.

Jen brings a wealth of experience to the team as a mother of two, and also has wonderful creative skills that the children benefit from.

Lillie is currently completing her Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship.

Carly is a Level 3 Early Years Educator. She worked at Carousel for 10 years before leaving to have her son, and returned to us in 2023 after a period of time working in administration.

Emma has many years of experience working in nurseries and schools. She is a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and brings a wonderful level of energy and enthusiasm to her role. She is passionate about teaching children through and about the natural world.

Hamideh is from Iran, where she qualified and worked as a teacher in the equivalent of an infant school. She now lives in the UK with her family and brings a great deal of experience to her role. She is full of new ideas of how to teach the children and loves to see them learn and develop.

Luiza lived and was educated in Brazil, where she completed the equivalent of a Level 3 early years qualification. Her caring, gentle nature makes her a perfect fit for working primarily with our youngest children. She also teaches our older children Portuguese, which is her mother tongue.

Ava is a bubbly and enthusiastic young woman who is about to embark on her Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship with us. Her kind and playful nature make her very popular with the children and staff.
