Little Garden The Finchley Day Nursery & Pre-School

We love this nursery. Our son has been at the nursery for almost 3 years and loves going in every day. The staff are great. The activities are relevant and he has made amazing friends in his class. We feel that it is a safe environment for children and trust all the staff.

We could not speak more highly of the nursery staff at the Little Garden Finchley Day Nursery. We knew settling in would not be easy for our daughter as she was used to spending time with us at home, but the staff did everything they could to help her feel at ease. 6 months have passed and the unimaginable has happened. Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery! She can't wait to meet up with her new friends and learn new skills with the staff. We are incredibly thankful and would highly recommend this nursery to any parent!

Excellent service. Kindness. Love to our toddler. Real care not pretentious. Happy environment. Super clean. Professional employees. The tool being used. The only negative we find is we are being asked to provide nappies which should already be included in the fairly pricy fee. But overall, amazed. A huge Well done.

My daughter has been at Scribbles since January (she was 13-months then), and she absolutely loves it. When we visited the local nurseries, we found that Scribbles was the most homely of them all, which we really liked. The nursery is set in a lovely former church, which makes it very unique. The classes are small so that the children are well looked after. The staff are truly amazing and create such a nurturing environment for the children. They do a lot of messy and sensory play, singing songs and creative stuff, and my daughter is always excited to go in every morning. She learned so much since she's been there. We definitely made the right choice for her.

Due to Covid, parents are not allowed inside the nursery for drop-off/pick-up. So often during busy times, a little queuing outside might be required. Personally, I think it is fine to wait, just need to factor that time in when we go drop-off/pick-up. It is in a way, the 'new' normal. This measure is there to protect the children and the staff that look after them.

We have been truly impressed with the level of care and the activities provided by Scribbles. Our two children love it and have already learnt so much since they have joined in May 2021. The settling was brilliant, and they have been so happy to go every day. Many thanks, Scribbles!

I would highly recommend Scribbles. My daughter is so happy there, and the staff are excellent. I couldn’t have asked for better care for her, and I feel so assured she is in good hands. For me, the key to finding a good nursery was how I felt about the staff and the vibe I got, and Scribbles ticked that box straight away. Everyone is warm, friendly and most importantly, honest. Communication to parents on a day to day basis is personal, thorough and exactly what I wanted. The management is strict on policy, but this is required, in my opinion, and ensures all children are safe.

It may not be the most polished or modern-looking place, but I believe everything is clean and kept to a high standard. I expected my daughter to come home with multiple bugs and illnesses since going to nursery, but she has been absolutely fine and has only had a few sniffles now and again, but nothing serious.

I am very happy, and so is my daughter, and would recommend Scribbles to all parents.

Scribbles is a wonderful nursery, and we feel lucky to have found it. It has a warm and nurturing atmosphere, and the staff are caring and enthusiastic. The nursery provides excellent care and works in partnership with parents to make sure children feel happy and secure. There is a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, and the kids have lots of fun being creative and getting involved in celebrating various events and festivals throughout the year. Our youngest child has learnt so much and loves her time at Scribbles, and our eldest daughter has fond memories of her keyworkers. We would happily recommend the nursery to other parents.

Our daughter loves the nursery! Every day is filled with different activities, and we can really see how she has developed since she started. We particularly like the way the nursery celebrates special days - all different religious holidays, national days, etc, and how they have implemented a Covid secure environment. The menu is also very good.

My son loves going to Scribbles. He happily waves me off in the morning and I have a hard time getting him to come home in the evening. He always has some wonderful creations and crafts from nursery and the teachers also give us loads of ideas for him to keep him occupied at home. He is happy and confident and it is all due to the amazing teachers and staff who are caring, warm and generally very considerate. My eldest, who is now in school, also went to Scribbles. Our family is very, very happy with Scribbles and would highly recommend it.

I have been very impressed with Scribbles, with one child a graduate and one currently there. They are extremely caring and have been very happy to accommodate our requirements - especially relating to my daughter’s food allergies. I would definitely recommend them!

Our daughter has been at Scribbles for almost 2 years, starting when she was 1 year old and we couldn’t be happier with the care she has received. All the staff there are fantastic; they are extremely attentive, going above and beyond for the children and our daughter really enjoys her time with them. There is a wide range of activities, a varied menu and regular updates from the staff on our daughter's development. Since starting at scribbles she has gained a lot of independence and is always very happy to go to nursery each day, even after periods of time away (e.g lockdown) she re-settles very easily as she is so comfortable with the staff. Being a relatively small nursery means the children develop relationships with everyone so it has a lovely family feel to it.

Lovely place - they go out of their way to make sure the kids are well looked after. The staff genuinely seem to love what they do and our son absolutely adores going there. Would highly recommend. Keep up the good work Scribbles team!

Scribbles is an excellent nursery - from the moment our daughter joined we were all made to feel welcome and I felt reassured from the outset that she was in good hands. Staff are extremely friendly and great with our daughter, they do lots of activities and her food looks great. We're really pleased with Scribbles and our daughter is very happy there.

Scribbles is a lovely nursery - both my children go there and they love it. The staff are great, caring and trustworthy, and go out of their way to make sure that the children are looked after properly. For example, at the end of lockdown, they offered that we drive past the nursery a couple of days before to give my children a heads up that they were about to start nursery again - my children loved it. Scribbles have also been great at supporting my eldest daughter who is autistic - they worked with the council to make sure she gets extra support, have attended the training (both staff and management), working with the surrounding professionals (speech therapist, pre-school team, specialised setting) to get the best outcome for her, and most importantly keep making sure that my daughter is integrated and supported by the other children. It feels like a very warm and happy place, and I would 100% recommend them to other parents as a result.

I couldn't have wished for a better childcare setting for my daughter who has been at Scribbles for just over a year. The staff are caring and think of such exciting activities for the children to engage in. She brings home the most creative things that she has made and happily babbles about her day on the way home. Her confidence has grown and this is due to the nursery's encouragement of the children to become independent learners (with lots of support). My daughter is two and she loves helping to make meals, set the table, read us a story, get dressed by herself etc and this has been encouraged by nursery staff.

Both my children have been at Scribbles and are extremely happy. A very inclusive environment - I think they celebrate nearly every culture and teach the children about the diversity of our world, human and otherwise. Government restrictions permitting, they engage with the local community from fundraising for charity, visiting the residents at Age UK and participating in the annual town festival. They also try to include the parents in activities: trips, religious festivals, career day, parents evening, etc. I will be very sad when my youngest graduates to primary school.

Our daughter absolutely loves it here. The staff are brilliant with her and she’s learned so much it surprises us regularly. A great facility, clean and organised, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Brilliant nursery. Great atmosphere and the staff are fantastic! My two girls love it there. The managers are always very helpful and accommodating. Our eldest daughter is autistic and even though this is a mainstream nursery they are going above and beyond to help navigate her preparation for school.
