My daughter joined Red Robin shortly after turning 1 and stayed for about 10 months because we moved out of London. I loved the place the moment we visited and decided not to visit any other nursery. The staff are all amazing, you can tell they really want to be there. The food was amazing, nutritionally balanced food from different cultures. So much love and care was shown towards my daughter, so much so, they were quite sad when I told them she was leaving. I appreciate all the activities they do that support learning, family and community. Sports Day, Nativity Plays, baking to raise money for the local hospital, asking children to dress up and bring in food for cultural day. One member of staff spoke to my daughter in our language instead of English which meant so much to us. I could never full describe what Red Robin meant to us, I wish I could have packed them all in my suitcase to take with us. My daughter developed so much in the time she was there.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are happy that your little one enjoyed their time at Red Robin. You're always welcome to visit.
Our little girl joined in November at 12 months. She took a long time to settle however the staff were excellent. Did everything they could to help her settle in. This included carrying her throughout the day, asking how she is fed, giving detailed handovers at the end of the day etc. She never has nappy rash, loves the food and 3 months in, she's such a happy girl when I pick her up!
She made loads of friends and she's so confident when communicating. The staff is very caring and professional. Loads of activities and different meals to get the kids used to different foods. I also like the virtual learning journals they provide so you can see what your child is up to fortnightly. The starting and finishing hours are also perfect for working parents :-)
I was recommended this nursery by a friend and I'm glad I gave them a try.
The initial visit to Red Robin was very positive. The Head Teacher was warm and welcoming, and the preschool room teacher was very knowledgeable about the Montessori curriculum, which I appreciated. However, my experience with their administration was disappointing. On my son's fourth day, he had a meltdown, and despite emailing to request updates and photos, my message was ignored, with no response or acknowledgement. On two occasions, staff members who didn't know me handed over my child without verifying my identity, raising security concerns. Updates on my child's day were rare as again he was often handed over by staff who weren't familiar with his routine. The most troubling incident was when my child became ill. I reached out to ask what he ate that day, but the response was vague and lacked transparency. Consequently, I was unable to trace what, if anything made him unwell. Due to poor communication, lack of accountability, and security concerns, I cannot recommend this nursery.
We at Red Robin try our very best to promote children's independence and we know that this can be difficult for some parents, we try to support parents in any way we can. We do not send individual photos of children by email and use our secure online system that individual parents have access to...
My son has been attending Red Robins for a year. He has a good relationship with the staff who are professional, friendly, and caring. I feel comfortable leaving him. There are a lot of activities for the children to take part in. Good communication and video/picture updates of your child's learning journey via the learning journals app. Overall I am satisfied with the service.
Outstanding nursery. My 3-year-old daughter is very happy there. All staff doing a great job, they love children and create a very friendly and supportive atmosphere that positively affects kid's development.
Red Robin is a lovely nursery and our daughter has settled in brilliantly over the past 6 months since she started. We were so nervous about her starting childcare and being able to sleep and eat well without us there but the staff are brilliant, helping her to get used to her new environment and enjoy all the activities they offer. There is a huge garden and in good weather the children spend loads of time outside, and the different age groups mingle all the time so our daughter has friends from the baby room right up to pre-school. She has learned so many new words and great new skills through playing. Best of all, when we went to pick her up this week she didn't want to leave as she was having such a lovely time - what could be a better recommendation than that?
Our 4-year-old and 1-year-old go to Red Robin. The staff are amazing and approachable. They look after the children like they are on their own. Good communication and an open-door policy. Our children have learnt and developed so much from being at the nursery. Our children have particularly loved the large outdoor space and the Montessori toys. I would recommend Red Robin to friends and family.
Wonderful staff that clearly love all the children. The nursery is like a family. Any concerns are addressed quickly and they help to support your wishes in order to merge home and nursery life. My daughter is always excited to go to nursery!
We love this nursery. My daughter has thrived since being there, and the staff are so friendly and loving. From the moment I stepped in, it felt like home, and they had a big garden for them to play outside.
We loved Red Robin Montessori and would definitely recommend it! Our daughter initially went to another nursery, which had problems and closed, so we were nervous about finding a new one. We were recommended Red Robin and the experience couldn’t have been more different, it was so much better. We felt peace of mind from the start. Leaving your baby will always be hard, but knowing you’re leaving them in a caring environment with kind, loving staff who know what they’re doing makes a huge difference. Many of the staff have been there for years. It has a lovely big garden, which is rare for London and was one of our daughter's favourite things. She’s at school now but still mentions nursery and told me the other day she missed a member of staff, the garden and the food! Red Robin certainly helped her development too, from toilet training to writing her name. She was able to flourish. There were always lots of great activities and some really special occasions, such as sports day and the nativity, which we’ll remember forever.
My son goes to this nursery and really enjoy the time there, they have great teachers and best educational methods and they have a big garden for outdoor activities. Management really helpful. Highly recommended this nursery.
My daughter is very happy at Red Robin and has been there for 14 months (she is now just under 3). She has grown in confidence and I can see her learning and developing in the way she plays and interacts with others. Red Robin staff have always been supportive and helped a huge amount with potty training. My daughter has developed relationships with the children and adults there, which is beautiful. We were really drawn to the facilities, especially their hall and the garden. I love that they have a weekly dance class too, which my daughter enjoys. My only point of improvement would be to get more feedback on her daily activities there.
Thank you for your review, we will endeavor to provide more feedback in the future.
Overall we had a good experience and we are very pleased with the nursery and the staff. Our daughter seems happy and looks forward to meeting her teachers and friends. Very friendly and caring staff who try to accommodate parents special requests when possible. We would highly recommend this nursery.
Throughout the warm summer, the children have been able to enjoy the large garden and the exploration has encouraged my daughter's confidence to grow.
The key thing that drew me to this nursery was the longevity of the majority of their staff. It is encouraged that children get to know all key workers in the nursery over time and it has helped my daughter become more comfortable with people outside of the nursery also. This for me is the key to her development.
Overall, we feel our daughter is thriving at Red Robin and are grateful for all they do as a team.
My son is really happy and he improved a lot since he started the nursery. He is eating better now. The staff is polite and helpful. I’m very pleased with our choice to take our son to Red Robin Montessori.
Thank you to all members of staff at Red Robins. You’re all appreciated and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.
A great nursery! The nursery teachers are lovely and supportive, they’ve taken time to get to know and understand my daughter. Always willing to offer tips and advice when asked, but never impose. She is developing so well and really looks forward to going to nursery and seeing her friends and teachers. There’s regular events throughout the year where parents are invited to the nursery to spend time with their children and see the amazing work they’ve done, as well as socialise with the teachers and other parents. The children are fed balanced meals and sent home with a report everyday so you understand what they’ve eaten, when their nappies have been changed and any other relevant information. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to send my daughter to Red Robin Montessori!
They helped us through potty training, allergy foods and separation anxiety. They've made special gifts to celebrate milestones. The food is excellent and he often asks for seconds. The garden and communal hall are what grabbed me when we first visited. Such huge open space and the kids love it. My son is thrilled to spend so much time outside. The garden is his favourite.
I cannot praise this nursery enough - it’s such a hidden gem. The staff are absolutely lovely, they really care about my son’s well-being and take great care of him. He started when he was one and had no issues settling in - he really loves it there. They have such a passion for supporting children through their development and helping them achieve those milestones. My husband and I are always welcomed into the nursery with lovely events, such as sports days, Christmas plays and summer fairs - they also do an annual parents' day where you can come in and meet with their teacher and just have a chat about how they are doing - although we’ve been told we can request this at any time. The building itself is so lovely with a large hall where the kids all have home-cooked lunches together and a huge garden to play in - this was the best nursery I visited by miles in the Thornton Heath area.
