Immanuels Day Nursery & Preschool is based in South Croydon, off the A235 Brighton Road, offering affordable childcare since 2006.

The nursery is well served by public transport with East Croydon, South Croydon, Purley Oaks and Sanderstead train stations. Bus routes 60, 119, 166, 405 bus stop is a few minutes’ walk from the nursery.

They offer high quality childcare services from 7.00am – 6.30pm. There are other flexible attendance patterns.

They have a well-resourced garden, and a separate outdoor space for under twos. In addition to a welcoming baby room from 3 months to 12 months, where familiar routine is maintained for babies, allowing them to sleep or take feeds at their own times. Each child will have a daily plan drawn up in consultation with you.

The individual needs of your child will be taken into account when planning activities, and it is hoped that as they get older they can adapt to the general routine before progressing onto their next stage of development. I was so nervous about my 1 year old starting nursery here but right from the beginning, he absolutely loved it!
From the start, we've been impressed with the warm, supportive, and incredibly helpful staff who clearly care deeply about each child's well-being and development. The daily routine is
well-structured yet flexible enough to allow children to explore and grow. The creative and messy play activities are also a huge hit, providing the perfect mix of fun and educational experiences.

Immanuel's Nursery is clearly guided by the EYFS framework, and it shows. The staff plan purposeful play opportunities that support children's learning and development across all areas. Since starting, my child has grown in confidence and has developed a love of learning. Would recommend to any parents!

A special thanks to the teachers for their incredible support in nurturing our 3-year-old son. Within weeks at Emmanuels, he started expressing himself more, and in three months, he was speaking full sentences. As working parents, we always felt at ease knowing he was in safe hands. The Manager even
stayed late at times until we arrived to pick him up, which we truly appreciated. Our son was always excited to go to nursery and loved his time there.

After joining Emmanuels, he became more independent, doing small tasks like putting on his shoes and jacket-things we didn't expect at his age. We also received valuable insights from the Manager on how to communicate with our child. Her advice helped us take the right steps at home, which significantly contributed to his development. We witnessed a remarkable transformation in him and truly appreciate the dedication and care of the entire team at Emmanuels!

Immanuel's nursery had a very safe, homely feel, which made me feel comfortable sending my 2-year-old here. The staff are friendly, and understanding and really make the effort to communicate with you - I can tell that they have my daughter's best interest at heart. My daughter didn't take long to settle
in and was happy with the drop-off and collection. In 2018, my first daughter attended and I'm pleased to know that this nursery is still highly commendable. I recommend this nursery to anyone who wants their child to feel encouraged and happy!

My son loves this nursery. He is eager to go to nursery always ready at the door with his coat.
I can tell he has a great relationship with the staff as he is always smiling when I come and pick him up and he interacts playfully with the staff as he leaves.
I love looking at his daily activities on
the app and knowing the food he ate and when he sleeps and wakes up. It puts me at great ease.
My son's vocabulary has improved greatly and his interest in exploring more food textures has increased.
Fantastic staff and lovely nursery.

I wanted to thank all the staff at Immanuels Day Nursery for looking after my child especially a child that had speech delay, you looked after my child, nurtured him, cared for him and took the worry and anxiety away from a worrying mother. The progress of my child has been amazing and that’s all thanks
to the amazing staff there. The communication and working together between us has been amazing, thank you all. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery to any parent. Thank you Immanuels.

My boy and girl twins have been attending the nursery from when they were a little over 2 years old. Right from the word go I knew this was a fantastic place. A place they would love. Very friendly staff, and environment. Their key workers knew every single detail about not just my kids but all the
ones they were responsible for. We received daily updates on what the kids did. Detailed assessments every quarter. The staff were very keen to ensure the kids progressed well. My kids graduate out in a week and a big big part of who they are stems from all they have learnt at the nursery and I cannot thank the staff enough for this amazing support.

We had an amazing experience at Immanuels Day Nursery & Preschool. We sent our oldest there and as you can imagine being first-time parents we were nervous about him going to nursery, but our nerves went very quickly. The staff are amazing and friendly and we have seen our son grow so much from being
there. Our son loves going to nursery. We have had such a good experience we plan to send our second child there when I return to work.

My daughter has been attending Immanuels for just over a year and is extremely happy. She gets excited about going to school and always has a smile on her face when I drop her off and when I collect her. The staff clearly know the children in their care well and quickly establish positive relationships
with them. My daughter always speaks fondly of all of the staff. Since the new cook has started, the menu has been varied and healthy, and my daughter nearly always eats all that she is given and says that she really likes the food. I would definitely recommend the nursery to those looking for good value for money from a caring environment with happy children.

My daughter has been at Immanuels for the past six months since she was twelve months old. The staff are lovely, welcoming and seem to truly love their jobs and the children. They helped her settle in at the beginning by giving her her comforters and helped her to nap in the bouncer until she was ready
to sleep on the mattresses like the other children and she loves it there. When my husband drops her off, she can't wait to go and play with her friends. They have a really nice food menu everyday and a very good offer of activities for the kids. Staff give us a daily report paper with information about what activities she did, what she ate and how much, her dirty nappies and the naps she has had. Sometimes staff also upload photos of her activities or observations about her progress on an app that only we parents can access. We couldn't be happier and would truly recommend Immanuels to any family that would like a home-like environment.

Immanuels nursery is really nice. My daughter likes going there and the thing which really attracted me to send my girl there was that it was not overly crowded. I wanted a place where my kid can be heard and the rooms are not excessively full with teachers and kids running around. The nursery teaches
good manners to the kids and every day informs you of the lunch they had. They just need to have some new outdoor toys and rides. I would recommend this nursery to the parents.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.204)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.204) out of 10 for Immanuels Day Nursery & Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.831 for Immanuels Day Nursery & Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (69 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.831
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.373 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Immanuels Day Nursery & Preschool is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 number of registered child places is 10.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.4 = 0.673
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
