This is a fantastic nursery. My son has been here since 12 months old and is now leaving for school and we are very sad the time has come to leave. The staff are the biggest asset to this nursery, they are all amazing and so caring. We receive regular updates on the app and the food is also tasty. There
are plenty of extracurricular activities for the kids and montessori and forest school are my son's favourites. Overall 5*. Thank you so much for looking after my boy so well over the last 4 years.

We've had a fantastic experience at Purley Day Nursery and Montessori Centre. The staff are warm, caring and truly dedicated to the children's wellbeing and development. The activities are fun, creative and help build confidence and social skills. We also really appreciate the regular updates and communication.
It's been wonderful to see our child grow, learn and come home happy. We're so grateful for the love and care the team provides every day. PDN has been the perfect start to our child's learning journey.

Overall our experience has been fantastic. In each room he's been in our son has been well cared for and formed a strong bond with at least one key worker. It took a few months for him to settle and be ok with drop-offs but the staff have been so patient and supportive throughout that process. The app
is good for understanding what he's eaten each day, but my only comment is there have been a couple of days where his food wasn't added. That being said, we're happy with the quality and volume of the food he is given. Sports Day was a real highlight, so well done for organising! Our son has a fixation with dinosaurs and the staff have really used that as a bonding tool to bring him into play, even buying dinosaur stickers to reward good behaviour and making sure dino toys are ready each morning.

I couldn't be happier with our experience at Purley Day Nursery & Montessori Centre. The nursery teachers are absolutely wonderful and incredibly caring, always going above and beyond to ensure the children are loved and supported. The facility itself is top notch with a strong emphasis on independence,
and outdoor play which my child adores. The extracurricular activities are plenty which I appreciate. It is clear that cleanliness is a priority as my child has stayed reasonably healthy since joining (as a healthy toddler could be). Highly recommended!

My child has attended Purley Day Nursery since 10 months old, she is now 4 years and as a parent, I am very happy with the nursery setting throughout the years she has attended. The communication with the staff members has always been excellent. I've never had any worries or concerns throughout the
duration.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.701)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.701) out of 10 for Purley Day Nursery & Montessori Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.653 for Purley Day Nursery & Montessori Centre is calculated as follows: ( (50 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.653
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.048 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Purley Day Nursery & Montessori Centre is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 67 number of registered child places is 13.4. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.4 = 0.448
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
