LEYF - Farrance Nursery & Pre-School

Great nusery experience for my son who has been going since he was 2, he's off to reception now but his younger sister is joining in Sept! Staff is attentive and super friendly, they are caring and give detailed feedback at pickup :)

I'm very happy with my choice of nursery for my son. His communication skills have grown beautifully, and he's really come out of his shy shell. The staff have supported his development with so much care, always greeting him warmly each morning and making both of us feel comfortable.

Since joining in 2024, there has been a high staff turnover, but the team have consistently tried their best to keep the children settled and to keep me informed. On the occasions I've felt out of the loop, a quick conversation has always reassured me.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much my son continues to grow in his final year at Farrance Road.

Staff are always attentive, smiling and quick to help. It would be nice if the inside door bell could be fixed as parents are only left with knocking on the door to get attention so the children can be taken to their class.

I am fully impressed at how supportive they've been of my child and his needs, he has a speech delay and it's helped significantly on his speech ever since he came into the school. He's graduated and we will miss this school and I know he had the best time there.

A huge thank you to all the amazing teachers for their patience, dedication, and genuine care. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, clean, and nurturing place for their child.

The nursery its so clean and warm in winter! Also the food its great my son love all of the staff there!

My son is happy and has always enjoyed attending most the time. Staff are always on hand to give you feedback at the end of the day or respond on any questions. Staff is very friendly and supportive. They are supporting my child and us as a family in difficult situations. My son improved his language skills, most because of nursery. Overall I would recommend this nursery in all aspects. They always was and are very helpful. Thank you to all who is supporting my child.

We truly appreciate the nursery and the many pluses, for example it's open all year round and the food is prepared fresh(although more protein would be good). They offer bike borrowing for the kids, plus we were luckily enough to be able to apply for sessions up to 4pm, which works best for us. The nursery accepts different govt schemes, including payments via the tax free childcare scheme and free childcare for working parent scheme(15/30 hours free). They also have an app where they add useful notes, e.g. meals, naps, nappy changes, pictures and notes of activities. I would suggest adding incidents on the app rather than the current paper form. I'd highly recommend the nursery!

We first started attending Farrance Road Nursery over 7 years ago. First with my eldest child and now with my youngest. Some of the staff are still present at nursery since we were first introduced. This shows commitment and gave me a sense of relief that my youngest child is receiving the same level of care and attention as my eldest child had received. My child is happy and has always enjoyed attending. He is always excited to share at home what he had been learning. There is a 2 week menu with various types of meals to fulfil a child's nutritional needs.

Staff are always on hand to give you feedback at the end of the day and answer any questions one may have. Weekly updates are notified through a parents app. This includes the sharing of photos and what topic your child has been learning during the week. Overall I would recommend this Nursery to any parent that are looking for committed members of staff giving the correct duty of care. A happy child is a healthy child!

We are very happy with the care our son receives. The nursery staff are very dedicated with their job, the nursery environment was great with indoor and outdoor for children to have fun activities, and even they update you what they are doing for example when they eat, sleep, fun activities, photos. We are very grateful.

My daughter started at this nursery in September. After 2 months she learnt so many new things, start talking and developed a lot. I am really happy with staff, management and facilities. Now she is really enjoying going to nursery and sometimes doesn't want to go home. I am really happy to see my child happy.

Farrance Nursery is a safe and caring environment, which allows my child to learn through investigation and being given opportunities to explore and be curious. The staff are friendly and dedicated to ensuring my child has a positive and productive experience while in their care. My child is more confident and independent since attending Farrance Nursery. She absolutely loves the staff.

If you have a child with SEND then do not send your child here. They continuously failed my son during his three years there. Government guidelines with regard to SEND law were not followed. By law, a nursery is supposed to set new targets to meet a child's needs. This did not happen for over a year. Nothing was put in place to support my son and we had to continuously fight to ensure his needs were met. The nursery finally started to hear our concerns after involving the borough. The attitude of the nursery management is extremely unprofessional. My son had an EHCP in place and the nursery didn't bother to obtain a copy to ensure his needs were met. After failing to manage his behaviour and meet his needs, the nursery manager then attempted to have him moved to another nursery following failed attempts at maintaining a professional relationship with us. We refused to accept the lack of accountability and repeated failings of the nursery and the nursery manager took exception to this.

My child has progressed so well from this nursery, the staff are dedicated to their jobs and you can see they really enjoy being with the children. They update you with what your child eats, photos and class room activities. They have a lovely outdoor space for the children to explore the nursery is so well kept, clean and tidy, i cannot find any faults at all!

My daughter attended the nursery and then preschool for 2 years. She was initially a very shy child and I was worried about how she would cope. However, the team at Farrance Road were amazing. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time there and loves attending. They do a variety of activities which has really helped her to learn and develop. The day is really well structured which is brilliant. The rooms are always well staffed, well resourced and clean.

Very pleased with this nursery. My daughter wakes me up every morning at 7 without a clock, and begs me to take her to nursery. She is very happy and always excited. They always do activities for their development, and thanks to the nursery, my daughter started to love books and asked me to read them.

Farrance Nursery is a wonderful environment for my daughter. She has progressed so well over the last 4 years. The staff are very attentive and caring for all of the kids. The facilities are nice and well laid out with ample outdoor play areas. We have had a great experience with Farrance.

Amazing place for my child. In the beginning, he's been upset, but the lovely staff helped him to adapt extremely quickly. Brilliant atmosphere and the manager is nothing but the loveliest person ever!

Absolutely great setting for my child! From the first day, I was welcomed by friendly staff, and the environment was perfect for any child. Since he’s started, he’s developed his vocabulary and has made so many friends. The staff have been so encouraging and reassuring during his potty training journey that now he is able to use the toilet independently at home and at nursery. Puts my mind at ease that my child is safe and happy at school. Couldn’t have asked for a better nursery!

You created a nurturing environment for my son, and this helped him to be comfortable and confident. I want to thank you for your support and understanding. Now my son knows what sharing means, and this means a lot for him and for me as well.
