I have two children who attend this nursery full time. They love being there and we have always felt assured by the level of care and commitment to learning they receive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who is local to the area. They also have different sessions run with external providers such as tot stars, sing & sign and Spanish lessons. They keep up regularly updated on how to help our children with activities related to EYFS. I will be sad when my kids are no longer there!
A wonderful nursery which my daughter has loved since she was 9 months. She's now 3.5 years and is part of the Sunshine family. The staff are great and have a fantastic relationship with all the children. They have a lot of activities throughout the week and different age groups which has truly been enjoyed by my daughter. We will miss Sunshine when my daughter starts primary school but it has been a great place to get her ready for such a big step.
I have no hesitation in recommending this nursery, the staff are friendly and supportive. My children are very happy at the nursery which is the main thing for me. The staff genuinely care about the children and always help me to get the children ready for their next steps.
The nursery is very accommodating to parents. I've never had a problem with occasionally swapping days if there is availability at nursery. They always have interesting things for children like sing and sign and travel zoo. I would highly recommend the nursery.
The nursery is well run and child-friendly. Most importantly, my son is happy when he arrives and happy when he leaves. We have generally been happy with the quality of staff and openness of the owners. There are same day-to-day areas for improvement but the owners and the manager are receptive to feedback and actively address it. My son enjoys the food and the play activity. The staff record any incidents that happen to the children and notify the parents immediately. My son started when he was around 8 months and is still there a year and a half later. We are very happy with the nursery.
My two daughters were in this nursery for a year, the youngest is still attending and I hope she will do so until she goes to school. My main impression is the wonderful staff, very warm and inviting. They know exactly what's going on with each child 100% of the time. The staff go by each child's specific needs (for example with sleeping habits), encouraging them to be more independent and learn more through songs, fun activities and free play. There's a separation between the babies room upstairs and the toddlers' and preschoolers' rooms downstairs, but they do meet the other kids here and there. My girls always used to go with a smile in the morning and come back full of stories in the afternoon.
It's a small family type setting. The staff contributed immensely to my boy's growth and development. The staff were like an extended family. Boys always looked forward to going to nursery and every day they learnt something new. During the time, my boys attended the nursery and we didn't have any issues whatsoever.
My 22-month old child is going to this nursery. Few things that matter and helped - 1. Settling Sessions - 1hour to 1 full day in a 2 week's span 2. Staff-So polite, responsible, caring and inviting. They all are similar in terms of giving attention and care to the child. It is not just the key person, but every other staff that I meet on the way give me some end-of-day updates about my child. If we give any updates on our child's health/sleep pattern/food requirement on the start of the day, caretakers are very attentive and make sure our inputs are taken care, and passed on to the team. 3. Place-Home like the environment and huge outdoor. 4. Food-4 week meal menu repeated every month with different varieties. Overall, it is only through my child's smile, laughter and spirit it is evident that he is absolutely happy and comfortable. The main aspect is -THE CARETAKERS I have placed my child in a few other nurseries and viewed all the nurseries in Croydon. This is the best and well suited for my child.
I did bit of research before deciding Sunshine as it was my little one’s first nursery and I feel now it was very much right decision.
My daughter started to pick-up numbers, alphabet, rhymes quickly when she started with nursery. She was too addicted to television, tablet before, but when she started SunShine, her interest changed very quickly. Now at home, she keeps drawing, painting, sticking or ask us for reading books. First thing she asks after she wakes in the morning is papers and pen to draw. In-house Library, Music sessions, Children’s parties, Animals club, football matches e.t.c are really fantasy. Most important thing is attitude of the staffs. I had gone for viewing many nurseries but here you can understand how caring the staff is within 15 minutes. They are very much approachable, really caring about the kids, they know about each and every needs of kids, we can always feel safe that we are left kids in safe hands. People who look for kids developmental needs than highly sophisticated infrastructure, I always suggest Sunshine is the best in Croydon.
