I have to say that when I drop my daughter off at school, in a very bizarre way I look forward to it. The staff are incredibly engaging and always smiling. The office staff which includes the manager are an example of what good chat service is all about answering they appear to have mastered that.
Well
done to all of them! In the end, our child is well looked after and that's our number one priority.

The staff at Fennies Addiscombe are truly remarkable. You can tell they all really love children and are dedicated to making sure they have days filled with joy and learning. My daughter has been attending for a year now every single day she is happy to be there. The communication is brilliant throughout
the day with updates on what the children are up to, and you can also reach out directly if you have any questions for the staff.

The chefs cook nutritious meals daily, meaning my daughter gets to eat a wide variety of food on a weekly basis. My daughter is absolutely thriving here and I will be sad when she has to move on to start school.

Picking Fennies was a great choice for us. My daughter has been there since she was 12 months old, and she's been going now for 5 months. She's become so much more social and she's learning lots there! I'm very comfortable leaving her there as it's a safe, clean, playful environment. The staff are amazing,
all queries are answered quickly and they always put on events and activities for the kids and parents alike! Such a positive experience for me as a first time mum leaving her child for the first time into the care of others!

Wonderful, energetic, knowledgeable and positive staff who our girls just love! Settling in was a breeze and they happily walk into their room every morning. They've developed course relationships with the room staff and we get regular updates on how they're doing most days in addition to specific development
updates for each kiddo.

My child has been attending Fennies Nursery Croydon - Addiscombe Road since 2021. She has a number of allergies and the protocols in place at this nursery really helped reassure me that they would keep her safe at meal times and beyond. Since her first day in the baby room, my child has always been
excited to go to nursey, she has developed lovely relationships with the staff who all care about her. She has had the same key worker for the last two years! They have moved rooms with her as she grows, giving her huge stability. The nursery keeps us very informed of all that goes on. The activities that the children do are very engaging and creative. They do stay and play frequently so parents and carers can see and engage with the children in their classes. I am very happy with the care and ability to play and create offered to her at Fennies - Addiscombe.

My toddler has been going to Fennies in Addiscombe since he turned 1 and he absolutely loves it. I have never felt apprehensive in any way about his welfare, happiness, diet etc. The staff are all amazing and so caring. I'm always so impressed at all the activities they do. So much creative play and
wonderful ways of learning. Weather permitting they can burn energy in the garden which my son loves. You get great feedback from the staff and also the app is really good as it keeps you connected to what they are up to through lots of fun photos. You can also see what they have eaten etc. Overall I can't recommend this nursery enough!

We are very happy with Fennies at Addiscombe Road, Croydon. My son is super excited every morning! It is a clean, organised place and they are very good with communicating and responding to both emails and phone calls. I feel comfortable in asking questions and always get the best advice from the teachers
for my son's development. They are very active on the app, sharing loads of activities and meal ideas. They also offer a fresh meal collection service, which is ideal for a single working mum like me. Special thank you to two members of staff. I highly recommend.

Both my children attended Fennies and I would highly recommend this nursery. We have always felt that our kids were not only well looked after, but that they had a genuine bond with their teachers/carers. Everyone we encountered from the carers to chefs and management are lovely, friendly and welcoming.
Both children have bounced into nursery every day with a big smile, excited for the day ahead. It's very reassuring to know they are so happy there and well looked after while we are at work.

My daughter joined the nursery at 7 months old and the care she has received has been amazing. The staff made me feel so comfortable during the settling-in process taking the time to answer my many questions. The nursery is beautiful especially their outside space, and the children are provided with
such a vast range of learning experiences. I love the use of tapestry, being able to see pictures of what my little girl has been doing during the day is so lovely, she is very there.

My son has been at Fennies since September 2020. He started later than I had planned due to lockdown so I was very worried about how he would settle. My older son had been at Fennies since he was 8 months old and loved his time there so Fennies was always my first choice. The staff are fantastic and
my son soon settled. Every day when I drop him off he is greeted with happy and smiling faces. When I collect him each day, he greets me beaming and full of confidence and I know all of the staff in his room have made his day happy and special. His development has come along such a long way since he joined and the activities and outside space there are brilliant. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you to Fennies for all of the love and care you provide.

Fennies is an absolutely wonderful nursery. I brought my child back here after a year of being away abroad and I was so happy that places were available. The staff are absolutely wonderful and so supportive of helping and ensuring my child will have met his needs. They have a wonderful, newly refurbished
garden and my child is happy to run in every day. They have a good variety of food on their menu. I am so pleased with this nursery and will fully recommend.

Fennies Addiscombe Road is an excellent nursery. Our child is cared for by her experiences motivated nursery staff in a positive, kind learning environment. My only concern which has not been addressed is that email communication about our child is only sent to 1 parent, not both (payment account information
only needs one parent). Can this please be reviewed and addressed so mothers and fathers are included.

Amazing nursery! My daughter has been there from 15 months (she is now 32 months) and has been in the baby room, toddler room and now pre-school room and she absolutely loved each class and teacher she had. My husband and I felt that everyone in Fennies has been taking care to develop our daughter and
has adapted to her needs. The nursery also feels safe, clean and friendly, there is even some free coffee and tea for parents in the morning and fruits and water for kids.

After having a bad experience in another nursery, I was worried how my baby would feel. I was happy to see that all the staff know her favourite things, how to comfort her.
She was very happy there and still is. She loves playing and she developed great communication skills also.
I leave her there
knowing she will be well looked after and has loads fo fun.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.763)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.763) out of 10 for Fennies Croydon, Addiscombe Road is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.875 for Fennies Croydon, Addiscombe Road is calculated as follows: ( (64 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.875
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.888 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fennies Croydon, Addiscombe Road is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 104 number of registered child places is 20.8. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 20.8 = 0.288
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
